Summer time. This is the time when students like me can take a vacation. The vacation could be a trip to the family province, a visit to amusement centers or tourist spots, or just relaxing at home.

Of the three I mentioned, the last one applies to me — I'm just at home on vacation now.

I should have taken summer classes so that I have advanced units. But because summer classes tuition is also expensive, I decided not to enroll first. My parents may have been overburdened with me. Maybe, next summer I’ll just try the summer class.

Right now, I can say my vacation is ‘boring’ — there are no more schoolwork, no new events, and even less friends to talk to at school. But I try not to be overwhelmed by the lack of ‘excitement’ through my current preoccupations.

I take care of hamsters. I plant plants. I clean dishes and household utensils. Occasionally, I also do laundry. When Mama has walks I go with her. If I had the opportunity, I would visit my friends who were classmates in high school. Every Sunday, I don’t forget to go to church to thank Him.

And of course, I write. This article you are reading today is the result of my pencil and paper while pondering what else I should do.

There is so much to do, so much. No matter where you are — in the countryside, on the sights, or at home — it is up to you how you spend your vacation time. Your priority should be the choice of activities.

May everyone have a meaningful vacation this summer.
