I understand the right for people to protest, but also the other for other to protect themselves by ignorant people.
They should wear masks.
Why?
Because there is COVID-19
There has always been the flu, why is this one different? Each person should be responsible for their health by consulting their doctor. Government has no business dictating to me about my health.
The government is to govern its citizen although we live in democracy, society will crumble without leaders. I live in a third world country of the Philippines and our government is doing little but regardless I follow maximum health protocols because I'm afraid of being contracted by the virus, we can't afford hospitalization. So the best thing that we can do is to stay home and when outside stay safe by wearing masks face shield and social distancing. I'm not against people who wants to be heard but there's a fine line of being responsible. Because if you get covid you might endanger the lives of your other family members. I understand you're all upset about your health system but the fact that we are the reason why it spreads our hard headed being not following this measures.
I respect your viewpoint but my governemnts health experts delisted Covid as a high impact infectious disease in March 2020 before the lockdown began. So they knew there was no need for these measures. The average lifespan where I am is about 79 the average age of a Covid victim is 82. There have been dozens of medical experts in the field of virology condemning thse actions. See the World Medical Alliance on Brand New Tube. Masks are a joke. There has been no studies that prove they are effective at virus protection. Quite the opposite, they compromise your immune system by decreasing the quality of air you breath, breathing in exhaled gas and reduced oxygen. The lockdown rules are arbitary and contradictory, Some shops can open, others cant, 6 people can gather together but anymore is dangerous. Curfews make no sense, why is it more dangerous at night than during the day. Why is there no dissenting voices across the whole media network from news programmes, to entertainment, radio shows, it is all uniformly in favour of lockdown. That to me shows you the scale of the lie. There should be healthy debates going on on the tv but there is not. A million people marched in London yesterday. The media called it a rag tag bunch of a few thousand weirdos.
I don't think masks don't work, maybe they use it in a wrong way but the main purpose of it is for you not to inhale covid 19. You can still breath and our body doesn't inhale carbon dioxide, there is no such thing us used air because we consume air and exhale a waste product which is carbon dioxide. With regards to lockdowns it is proven to be effective because it minimizes movement, less movement means less spread of the virus. Curfews are essential so no one would dare go out at night to sneak and break lockdown rules. Essential purposes should only be allowed no more recreational reasons because covid is highly contagious. On a lighter note I don't agree with your government delisting covid as national concern because if we became reluctant our hospitals will be flooded just as what is happening now here in the Philippines. Data shows lockdowns are beneficial that's a fact. The rule of thumb for us Filipinos, stay home stay safe and when outside wear mask and face shield and observe social distancing.
@FiveFootEight, I respect your opinion, and you MAY in fact be 100% correct, but ....... since the powers-that-be are CENSORING knowledgeable viewpoints that disagree with the current consensus, it's hard for me to know exactly what to think. My OPINION is closest to this: "Each person should be responsible for their health by consulting their doctor. Government has no business dictating to me about my health." Yes, that's not perfect, but nothing is. If and when we can have honest, open discussions about CoVid19, then I will put more faith in what the government tells us to do. Until then, I'm sorry, but I have my doubts and concerns. But of course, I'm not an expert on viruses like Bill Gates!

I completely understand your concern about this crap getting loose in the Philippines, even if it is just a strong flu.
You know what it's highly contagious. Don't just call it flu. We're poor and hospitalization is expensive so we can't afford to get ill.
Okay. Fair enough ....... I should not say "just" flu, as the flu can be very, very deadly, as the pandemic of 1918 proves. I've had friends who caught Covid back in the USA, and one was hospitalized. If he were poor and here in the Philippines, he probably would have died. So I guess you proved your point, and now that I am in the Philippines I need to think "filipino", not "American".

Amen!! This sums up my opinion concisely.
I don't know what to think about this Covid19 stuff, mostly because so much of the discussion about it has been censored, or is hidden. How much research was done on this virus in China, and what type of research? Was this virus being modified to use as a weapon? And how was the USA involved? We know that joint Chinese-American research on the virus was being done in the USA before it was relocated to China. Were the Americans still involved in the research when the project moved to China? My parents are in an old folk facility back in the USA. One of the residents there is a Chinese woman married to an American. She was involved in the virus research in the USA, and personally knows the Chinese "Bat Lady". My parents say she is keeping a very, very low profile at the moment. Is the virus deadly or not? I don't know. Based on statistics, it's just a severe flu. The two people I know of who died of it already had severe health problems. Other folks I know who don't have health issues have ALL recovered, although at least one wound up in the hospital. I'm in my sixties, fat, and I have high blood pressure. Should I get the vaccine? I don't know. Information about side effects from the vaccine seems either suspect, or is censored. But how is it that a vaccine for this virus was developed so quickly, when we have yet to have a vaccine for HIV, or a stable vaccine for dengue?

C'mon duck, calling people you disagree with "braindead" doesn't accomplish anything. You may as well shout, "I'm right; you're wrong. Nya nya!!" If you want to change people's opinion, insulting them usually doesn't help. You may not agree with these people, and you may be correct, but I believe the purpose of this post was to show that the media ignored this large protest.
