Starknet airdrop landed unexpected in my wallet
https://inleo.io/@behiver/starknet-airdrop-landed-unexpected-in-my-wallet
I was checking my wallet on Binance these days and I had a pleasant surprise of seeing addition tokens alongside my crypto assets. Starknet tokens landed into my account without my knowledge and it seems that was based on the ETH staked on Binance through a snapshot taken on 2022-09-15 and which matured on Feb 2024. The distribution of this airdrop got me 187 Starknet tokens.
January barometer - An indicator for stocks, but maybe also for crypto
https://inleo.io/@behiver/january-barometer-an-indicator-for-stocks-but-maybe-also-for-crypto
There are different techniques and market signals out there that can be a telling for what's to come during a new year in the financial sector. And one of them is extrapolating the results by the end of the month to if this will be a good or bad year overall. And behind this stands the is called January barometer which considers that the performance of the stock market in January, foreshadows it's annual movement.
Splinterlands - When poisoned, one card can make all the difference
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-when-poisoned-one-card-can-make-all-the-difference
In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, battles simply bring a lot of adrenaline starting with your lineup and combining the rule sets of the fight. And one that it is hard for me to decipher is the Poisoning which implies that all fighters take damage at the start of each round. So in such games, a single card can make all the difference in the end as this is a game of survival, rather than focusing on making the most damage to the enemy with one fighter or the other. So it is imperative to use monsters that can heal themselves or others from the formation.
Splinterlands - Beginners guide to get into the game with no investment
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-beginners-guide-to-get-into-the-game-with-no-investment
This week Splinterlands Social Media challenge proposed us as theme to write about "Tips for Beginners". This is a vast domain and one could focus on strategy, on building a deck, on maximizing rewards or different things. I will have a different approach to all of that and focus on how you can get into the game with no investment and build from there. And if you didn't guess that yet, the way to do that is through social media and all the challenges and contests that Splinterlands puts up out there - like this one for example. So let's dive into it and see how you can make it without getting a penny out of your pockets.
Splinterlands - I've tapped 120,000 SPS staked, but I am still hungry for more
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-ive-tapped-120000-sps-staked-but-i-am-still-hungry-for-more
Rebellion is here for quite a bit of time and everybody is excited about the new Edition cards, the new abilities, the new mechanics and the Modern format rewards. While that happens I must confess that my excitement is quite reserved for Rebellion as for any new edition cards, but on the other hand I am quite excited and amazed about Splintershards and the ongoing use cases that continue to surface. And now that Land 1.5 is here and that we can build Splintershards Mines, guess what I did? You guessed right, I've jumped the wagon to build a SPS mine and get my share of the prize. And as I am expanding the ways I am earning Splintershards in the game, I succeeded to tap 120,000 SPS staked. And guess what? I am still hungry for more...
Hive blockchain - Surpassing the milestone of 37,000 Hive Power staked
https://inleo.io/@behiver/hive-blockchain-surpassing-the-milestone-of-37000-hive-power-staked
There is not much to say about me, but that I am a simple amateur blogger with ups and downs and yet an affinity and presence for the Hive blockchain. Probably my writing style has refined a little bit over time, maybe my presence was more than compared to others, but I don't consider that I had an exceptional path in this regard. And yet, while doing my own thing in this ecosystem, I've succeeded in hitting a new milestone and it feels like uncovering a hidden treasure. Recently, I reached the noteworthy milestone of staking 37,000 Hive Power on the Hive blockchain, and it's been nothing short of a thrilling journey.
Navigating the crypto space and why less might be more
https://inleo.io/@behiver/navigating-the-crypto-space-and-why-less-might-be-more
In the crypto space, we see a lot of enthusiasts and investors which are constantly seeking new opportunities to capitalize on the next big project. A recent discussion with a friend of mine who is deeply involved in a single blockchain ecosystem (Cardano), left me pondering the age-old question: is it better to focus on less over more in the vast realm of blockchain projects? As an amateur blogger and crypto enthusiast, my approach has been to cast a wide net, delving into more than 20 blockchains to stay diversified and, hopefully, catch the next wave of groundbreaking projects. However, my conversation with my friend shed light on the advantages of a more focused approach, where quality and depth of understanding can outweigh the benefits of broad but superficial engagement.
Splinterlands - Rebellion is here, but I am still grabbing some Wild rewards
https://inleo.io/behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-is-here-but-i-am-still-grabbing-some-wild-rewards
Rebellion revolutionized through different mechanics the entire ecosystem from Splinterlands compared to other Edition sets like Chaos Legion and most of the rewards can be taken from the New format. While I have invested big in the Chaos Legion and I saw the packs going under $1, I refused to invest in any other edition cards until I recoup my investment (if that would even be possible). So for now my playing is mostly done in the Wild format where there are a lot of players probably in the same situation as mine that are fighting for the rewards pool. More players, less rewards one would say, but my last Rewards Chest revealed that it is not the case or at least not always.
Splinterlands - Rebellion tokenomics are holding strong
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-tokenomics-are-holding-strong
In Splinterlands the Rebellion edition set came with some new mechanics that I believe are strengthening the entire ecosystem and keep the assets value to hold strong. I remember the hurt of Chaos Legion packs devaluing so much due to the high supply and I am glad that is not repeating also on the Rebellion packs. In my opinion the secret is in the supply which is ensured at steady levels through a burning mechanism implemented on a daily basis as portion of the unsold cards for the day. This way the effect doesn't wait to be seen and better strategies can be done using the packs and cards assets. And as one dimension of the game is strengthening, so are the others through a domino effect.
Splinterlands - Rebellion packs burning is nicely eating from the supply
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-packs-burning-is-nicely-eating-from-the-supply
Rebellion, Rebellion, Rebellion...the new edition cards hit the market and after a successful presale of more than 80% of the 500k packs available, the General sale is under way. Things are moving along according to the plan and each day packs are either sold or burned. Solid mechanism to keep the supply sized correctly to the market conditions and avoid the harm of overprinting that happened with Chaos Legion packs. This should only strengthen and ensure that the value of Rebellion edition will hold steady in time. And the burning is already making positive effects and we can see how it eats from the supply.
Splinterlands - Rebellion forces are rushing into fighting and conquering it all
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-forces-are-rushing-into-fighting-and-conquering-it-all
The introduction of the Rebellion edition cards in Splinterlands marks the evolution of the game, offering players a fresh array of strategic possibilities and immersive gameplay. Rebellion brings a diverse set of cards, each carefully designed to add complexity and depth to the existing Splinterlands universe. The presale was a success with 441,819 Rebellion packs out of 500,000 packs being sold, which represents over 88% from the goal. And as we move now with the General Sale and with the swift requirement for cards to use as Workers for Land, I believe that the buying trend will continue. Double that by a bullish crypto market which already show appreciation of assets all over the place and we might be for a great end of the year and a promising 2024 for new All Time Highs.
My Hive Engine tokens wallet is valued at $1,272,910.94 USD
https://inleo.io/@behiver/my-hive-engine-tokens-wallet-is-valued-at-127291094-usd
Hive engine is booming and my tokens wallet is now valued at $1,272,910.94 USD. You can too can be a crypto millionaire, just need to go to Hive Engine and take a peak at your wallet. Such crazy numbers...and is all due to the hard work I've put in here. Or maybe it is not? Well, that's probably due to Hive Engine nodes which are going crazy these days and are quite unreliable. But if that would have been true, tomorrow I would give my resignation from work. But until that truly happens, I guess I should continue working and showing my face around the workplace.
Splinterlands - My journey as an early game adopter and investor
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-my-journey-as-an-early-game-adopter-and-investor
My Splinterlands story starts back in 2017 when I first found out about the Hive blockchain and I simply knew that I will spend most of my time here. Once I settled myself cozy within different communities at that point, I tried as much as possible to be informed about the developments from the Hive ecosystem. And one of the projects that captured my attention also because it promised to be a play2earn game, a pioneer in this field, was Splinterlands. While the game was still being developed, I've participated right away in the Pre-Sale and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and journey within Splinterlands.
Splinterlands - Rebellion presale status after 15/30 days and latest release updates
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-presale-status-after-1530-days-and-latest-release-updates
Splinterlands is slowly and steady moving along with the Rebellion presale and what seems a blink of an eye, we find ourselves in the 15th day out of 30 days in which the event is running. The event will be running as long as the set period is reached (30 days) or the packs sell out, whichever comes first. While the presale had high velocity in the first days from when it started, it seems that for now it runs quite slowly. Nevertheless I expect that when we will be in the last days of the event, we should see another push as those moments will determine the Leaderboard and the winners for the prizes, based on ranking. As of now, the Rebellion sold 263,349 packs out of 500,000 which were set for this phase. If I was to make a prediction based on the current evolution of the event, is that we should see 300,000 packs sold easily.
Splinterlands - Rebellion mechanics should keep cards inflation in place
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-mechanics-should-keep-cards-inflation-in-place
The Rebellion entered the Splinterlands portal and it traverses the pre-sale phase while we all try to get a grip on what this means. The highly-anticipated Rebellion NFT card set future release is set to usher in a new era of excitement and opportunities for players. Scheduled for launch on Tuesday, December 5th, during the regular maintenance period, this release promises a host of benefits, innovative features, but also a more balanced approach to game tokenomics.
Splinterlands - Latest release notes enhance Rebellion and more
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-latest-release-notes-enhance-rebellion-and-more
In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, the agile development delivers incremental weekly upgrades which are transparently documented in the published Release Notes. The Rebellion edition set pre-sale is upon us and the entire ecosystem is energized by that, considering that these days we've tested also a bit of a bullish run with Bitcoin rising from bellow $30,000 and touching $35,000. That created a wave of price improvements all over the crypto market, but what's more important in my opinion is that it brought a wave of optimism that we were lacking lately. But getting back to the latest release notes in Splinterlands, let's try to review the change brought into the game on 24th of October 2023.
Business in crypto - Ideas are cheap, execution is everything
https://inleo.io/@behiver/business-in-crypto-ideas-are-cheap-execution-is-everything
In the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency and beyond, it's a common misconception that groundbreaking ideas alone lead to success. While innovative concepts certainly play a part, the truth is that ideas are cheap, while execution is everything. This mantra holds especially true in the realm of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, where competition is fierce, and opportunities are flying everywhere. I think I have an idea per day to what I could accomplish and build in crypto in general and on the Hive blockchain in special, but that is still to come to fruition. I've started many things, other simply remained at the inception state, but simply I failed on the execution of the plan. So in this post I will try to navigate the states that I went through and other things related to making an idea come to fruition.
Splinterlands - Rebellion presale is slowly unfolding
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-presale-is-slowly-unfolding
In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, the Rebellion presale has started for few days and it is slowly unfolding. At the moment of writing this article, if we take a peak at the Rebellion Leaderboard we can see that there were 242,932 packs purchased with additional 28,216 bonus packs awarded, which makes a total of 271,148 Rebellion packs that will reach the avid players from here. As we are still in bearish waters the presale is not out of this stratosphere, but the numbers keep on growing slowly and steadily. For sure the new edition will bring new mechanics to the gameplay and will bring some advantages to those that get in early, thus the entire ecosystem will surely see some new energy and enthusiasm.
Hive Blockchain - The impression you make is everything
https://inleo.io/@behiver/hive-blockchain-the-impression-you-make-is-everything
The way you write, the way you disagree with others, the way you engage with different people – it all makes an impression that you can control. Ultimately this represents your brand on the Hive blockchain and you cannot afford to have it tinted or you'll lose the trust and support of your followers and readers.
Crypto golden rule: whoever has the most, makes the rules
https://inleo.io/@behiver/crypto-golden-rule-whoever-has-the-most-makes-the-rules
Crypto, crypto and more crypto... And truly there is a single truth about it in the form of the golden rule: whoever has the most, makes the rules. This unspoken doctrine is a driving force behind the dynamics of the crypto space, where wealth often translates into power and influence. Sometimes I feel that I am like an ant and simply keep on accumulating as there is never enough. But probably that's the driving force to gather while we are still in bearish times and liquidate when we move to full bull market.
Unlocking the cryptocurrency paradox: is it really a zero-sum game?
https://inleo.io/@behiver/unlocking-the-cryptocurrency-paradox-is-it-really-a-zerosum-game
I am an avid TV series consumer and just yesterday I have watched Episode 4 from The Irrational tv show where it centered upon the zero sum game. From there my mind flew if that applies also in finance and crypto domain and thus the debate from this article. Truly be said, the concept of a zero-sum game has long been a topic of debate and fascination in the world of finance and investment. In traditional financial markets, it's often applied to situations where the gain of one participant comes at the expense of another. When talking about cryptocurrencies, a unique landscape emerges where the zero-sum game which takes on a different dimension. In traditional financial markets, wealth is often redistributed among participants. For every winner, there's a loser, and this dynamic has fueled the zero-sum game perception. In the crypto domain, however, things might be a bit different.
Hive offers everyone the one opportunity owned in life
https://inleo.io/@behiver/hive-offers-everyone-the-one-opportunity-owned-in-life
As the saying goes, "All you're owned in life is an opportunity", the Hive blockchain epitomizes this philosophy and idea at its core. In a world where traditional financial systems are exclusive and daunting, Hive offers an alternative path to financial freedom enabled just through your own forces. With a commitment to decentralization and inclusivity, it provides individuals with an opportunity to shape their financial destinies and I believe we all see many fulfilled users in this regard.
Splinterlands - Can even a bull run repair the game tokenomics?
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-can-even-a-bull-run-repair-the-game-tokenomics
I had a moment of clarity and with the plethora of the assets in the Splinterlands I wonder if even a bull run can repair or alleviate the game tokenomics that went down to drain. Don't get me wrong, I love this game on one side, but cannot but be mutinous about how the team handles the tokenomics in their run for money. I understand that in order to develop this game quite a bit of money are required, but I was hoping to get that from investors rather than basing it on the players. The marked is flooded in every aspect with a huge supply which creates continuous pressure on the price moving it to new All Time Lows. Even with new money coming into this ecosystem, it is hard for me to see a reversal trend of what's happening. And even if something seems to get back on the track, some other release translated into overwhelming inflation kicks it back.
Embracing a social media detox from web2 and web3 platforms
https://inleo.io/@behiver/embracing-a-social-media-detox-from-web2-and-web3-platforms
Web2 platforms such as Twitter (X), Instagram and Facebook and also Web3 platforms, they all bring people together, but they also eat away at our time and can have negative effects on our mental and physical health if not attended right. Taking time out can help when we consume too much social media. This should bring equilibrium and let our minds process real information that we can see with our own eyes or touch with our own fingers. As opposed to being served targeted or even fake information through social media, anchoring us in reality is what will keep us sane. There are many ways in which a social media detox can be done and I'll try to explore some of them.
THORChain - Key features that distinguishes it from the competition and makes it a true gem
https://inleo.io/@behiver/thorchain-key-features-that-distinguishes-it-from-the-competition-and-makes-it-a-true-gem
While we are not at the bottom at the bear market, we are still feeling the cold from a bearish weather on the crypto industry. And while most of us might see this as a way to move to other types of investments, some are still sticking here and try to build up in preparation (even if for a long time) of the next bull run. And while us as users and investors can only play the waiting game, the crypto projects can make the best of these times and build up. And on such project that makes the most of it is THORChain which expanded its strategic development during the bear market that should set the stage for a path to success that promises to captivate the entire crypto world. There are many reasons why THORChain and $RUNE:$1.66 are gearing up for a significant surge in value and I will try to emphasize some of those.
Splinterlands - Rebellion is coming and might do more damage than good
https://inleo.io/@behiver/splinterlands-rebellion-is-coming-and-might-do-more-damage-than-good
Splinterlands rushes to launch a new card edition entitled Rebellion and in my opinion this might do more damage than good. There was a lot of talking about change and a better and healthier way moving forward in the last AMA, but with this announcement it seems that the game is doomed to repeat the past mistakes. I agree that they need an infusion of money to keep things going, but seeing how fast they've moved with a new card edition launch simply proves that they cannot source funds from other places. Thus, they get back to the players and try to squeeze them for some more, but I am not sure that it will work like intended. Why? Simply because overflowing the Splinterlands game market with a plethora of NFTs will have adverse effects on the game's tokenomics, touching every corner of it.
ThorSwap is not ThorChain: Unraveling the Differences
https://leofinance.io/@behiver/thorswap-is-not-thorchain-unraveling-the-differences
In the fast-evolving world of decentralized finance (DeFi), platforms that facilitate cryptocurrency swaps and liquidity provision have gained significant attention. But with that also hackers and other bad actors are humming around. As many of you might already know these days about ThorSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on top of ThorChain, has entered maintenance mode due to discovered illicit activity. In this time, the platform is addressing the situation and taking necessary actions. Accordingly the users are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on developments regarding the DEX's status. But we should all have in mind that Thorswap is just one of many others interfaces plugged into Thorchain. This means that the users can at any time switch to any of that and have business as usual. Panic is overrated in this case and some of it might come from the fact that there isn’t a good understanding between ThorSwap and ThorChain, so I will try to unravel some of these differences.
Splinterlands - The damage has already been done and we can only go up from here
https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-the-damage-has-already-been-done-and-we-can-only-go-up-from-here
In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, the damage has already been done in terms of tokenomics and we can only go up from here. The recent events where another portion of the team was fired, it left us reeling, but the game team and us as a community we refuse to wallow in despair. It's time to dust ourselves off and forge a path towards redemption. And to tell you the truth even if the game would fail with a company behind it, I see a future where the community might take over at some point. I hope this is on the table and if things don't work out with the current scheme, we can flow the game into a true decentralized manner. That blows my mind only thinking about it.
New Hive blockchain communities created in September 2023
https://leofinance.io/@behiver/new-hive-blockchain-communities-created-in-september-2023
Recently, there has been an increase in the number of new communities being created on the Hive blockchain. These communities span various topics such as collectibles, art, festivals, crypto news and more. Each community provides a platform for like-minded individuals to connect, share ideas, and collaborate. With the decentralized nature of the Hive blockchain, these communities are autonomous and governed by their own set of rules and guidelines. This allows for greater freedom and creativity in the content shared within these communities. On top of that managing a community on the Hive blockchain is like a fund raising and gathering influencers that can support it and make it appealing to others to join it. The rewards that the community can provide to their members as a whole ultimately ensure the success or fall of it.
Hive blockchain - A home for both writers and readers
https://leofinance.io/@behiver/hive-blockchain-a-home-for-both-writers-and-readers
For those that are new around here, Hive is a decentralized blockchain technology that was forked from the Steemit platform in a fight for freedom and fair system that enables users to create content and publish it in a similar way to traditional platforms, but to hold ownership and earn from it. The rewards can take the form of first layer tokens like Hive and HBD (Hive Backed Dollar), but also can be overlaid with additional second layer tokens powered by communities and based on the topics domain. This rewards system not only incentivizes users to produce quality content, but also encourages others to comment and upvote posts to further grow the community and yield curation from it. Engagement is key for steady growth and making a name and brand in this amazing and flourishing web3 crypto ecosystem.
