Does hash rate follow price or price follow hash rate. Conventional opinion is hash rate follows price. The reason being as mining profits increase so does competition leading to higher hash rate. Most people don't know this is not always the case. In April, an accident at a coal mine in China was the cause of a big drop in hash rate. This was immediately reflected in the price of Bitcoin, which dropped up to 15% within a few hours.

Drops in the difficulty adjustment algorithm of Bitcoin. When this metric drops significantly we always get a large spike in the price of Bitcoin. Since China shut down mining in most of its provinces, we have seen the largest drop in the DAA in Btc history by 28%. Average daily volume has dropped to 21k for BCH on Coinbase Pro. This is getting really low from a high of 190k. Unfortunately BCH still looks bearish short term with resistance at 490. I had a soft spot for Dash, it filled in for Bitcoin Cash while the block size war was going on in Btc. It was widely used by libertarians in the 'free state' of new Hampshire after Bitcoin became unusable as cash when fees climbed up to $50. It was once a top 10 currency but now it seems to be slowly fading away and now ranked a lowly 69 on Coingecko. I will miss you. Long live Bitcoin Cash.

The weekly 200 moving average is quite important, it is $539 on the Kraken exchange for BCH but it may not be plotted on your exchanges chart depending on when that exchange started listing BCH. Below you can see Coinbase Pro does not have this important level plotted.
