Toxic Elder-to-Young Cultures

Most probably you will relate to all of these cultures since kids and teenagers now live in a generation where we have to act mature as if the world is ending tomorrow but still have the respect every elder must possess.

EXPLAINING YOUR SIDE

Ever had that conversation with an elder person and they go went into say that he or she didn't raise you to talk back when you are just explaining your side? Well, I've seen it happened a lot up until today. It is like you will never justify your actions since you have no right as a younger person to talk about at anyone because clearly "you don't know anything about life". It doesn't make sense actually. It's like putting your garbage in a black bin when it's supposed to be in the white bin but you explained that both are just bins. It's like older people are always right and whenever they ran out of ideas and thoughts, they start to fight back with their rights as elders.

ENGLISH

The most painful thing for Filipinos and probably other Asian countries is that the basis of intelligence is when they speak proper English. When you explain something in English and you get the grammar wrong, your education will eventually be judged, alongside your character. I really have no idea what's the connection of the English language with the education you made when you can be a successful person even without knowing it. Anyone can have respect towards other people without the language since it's not the native language of all Asian countries.

RACISM

Your skin color is either be your way to success or your downfall. Whenever I walk down the streets, since I'm not white, most people will judge me with my skin color. You might have heard some people say that "You know, you're beautiful if you're just white.", and it pisses me off. My personality has nothing to do with the way I look and the way I handle my self. I know how to respect people that deserves it.

OCCUPATION

Farmers are not in equal with Businessmen, they say. It doesn't make sense when farmers are getting belittled by other people since they are not that rich as businessmen. Then I heard one time that they are not that hard-working enough that's why they don't get rich. Remember that Life is not fair. You can put food on the table of probably every people planet but still don't get the respect you need.

VICTIM BLAMING

Catcalls, rape, sexual harassment is mostly blamed in the victim. Because of having very short shorts, walking in the dark night by herself or himself, going out and partying with boys, it's always the same reasons. SEXUAL HARASSMENT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF LUSTFUL MEN (Or WOMEN sometimes). It is never the victims fault unless, it was all just a cover up to just put the innocent be a criminal.

LGBTQ+ GENERATION

Whenever I see a person having full respect on members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + Generation, I gave them the amount of respect they give. I actually don't judge anyone whose member of any tribes or cults or whatever unless they kill or torture someone. Your gender has nothing to do with your personality. As long as you have respect on people and on what they do, then it's fine. Older people are having a hard time accepting the fact that these people exist and it should be changed.
