The Spirit of Christmas

0 29

Families have their own way of celebrating holidays. It may be a weird tradition of welcoming someone or maybe a prayer towards being thankful for the food and life, it's our way of celebrating. Christmas is spending extra time with friends and family, expressing thanks and love, exchanging and keeping others joyful, and commemorating the Savior, Jesus Christ's birth. To many people, these are the general meanings of Christmas.

For Christians, the major reason for Christmas Celebrations is to believe that God entered the world in the shape of a man to make amends for humankind's misdeeds, rather than to know Jesus' actual birth date. The essence of Christmas is that God's plan and destiny will be realized wherever there is optimism, compassion, peace, and vitality. Christmas would also be a celebration of the Birth of Jesus and God's unfathomable gift to the world for our family. And such celebration contributes to the traditions that bring our family together in a particular manner throughout this joyous season.

People on their way to spend the holidays with their loved ones make Christmas one of the busiest periods of the year at airports, train stations, and bus terminals. Many people adorn their homes with colorful lights and a garland of evergreen branches or other Holiday decorations in the lead-up to Christmas. Here is a look at Christmas in some countries around the world:

Argentina

At Christmastime in Argentina, the climate is tropical. Christmas arrangements begin as early as November and even earlier in December. Argentina has a large Catholic population, which celebrates Advent. In Argentina, the Nativity scene, or 'pesebre,' is also a popular Christmas ornament. Near the Christmas tree, the pesebre is placed. The major Christmas feast is usually served in the evening of Christmas Eve, about 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. It might be served in the garden or on the grill! At 12 a.m., there will be a barrage of fireworks. Folks also like 'toasting' the beginning of Christmas day. Some individuals like to attend midnight services, while others would rather stay at home and watch fireworks before opening their gifts under the tree. More people are attending late-night events and nightclubs these days.

London

There are several lovely things to do in London during Christmas, from Night markets and Shopping trips to ice skating rinks and Christmas activities. When December arrives, everyone becomes a little nicer, and you can spend your spare time sipping hot drinks, watching festive performances and pantomimes, reviewing your favorite Christmas flicks, gliding around scenic ice rinks, and having a full knees-up at all the Holiday parties. Visitors can visit the Annabel’s Swarovski Christmas façade. In partnership with Swarovski, Mayfair's beautiful private members' club has decked up for the Christmas season. The structure has been transformed into an amazing gingerbread home, adorned with sweet Swarovski crystals for visitors and passers-by to fawn over, adding a stunning façade to Berkeley Square.

Thailand

Thailand's Christmas vacation is a joyous occasion. Every mall in Bangkok is decked out in lights and decorations, and all of the main hotels and cities recreate the Christmas enchantment in their own unique ways. Christmas holidays in Thailand and several places of Thailand are very diverse and remarkable. Although Thailand is a Buddhist country, it nevertheless has a wonderful oceanic climate, and Thais know how to throw a fantastic party. Thailand is a shopper's utopia that will specialize in helping everyone looking for a meaningful gift this Christmas. You may indulge in an exciting experience while shopping in Phuket and meet your desires.

Ghana

Ghanaians celebrate Christmas from December 20th until the first week of January with a variety of events. Around Ghana, cocoa production (the bean used to produce chocolate) begins in December. Ghana is the world's second-largest manufacturer of cocoa. Christmas Eve evening is when the main celebrations begin, with drumming and dancing during church services. Children frequently perform a Nativity Play or other form of theater. No Christmas is complete without plenty of treats, such as spiced fruitcake and fresh-baked cookies. In Ghana, stew or okra soup, porridge with meats, rice, and a yam paste known as 'fufu' are among the traditional dishes. On the 31st of December, some Ghanaians attend church to thank the Lord for sending Jesus and to pray for a comfortable and healthy New Year.

Philippines

The Christmas season in the Philippines is one of the longest in the world. The Christmas season usually starts immediately as the "Ber" months approach. Christmas lanterns are hung from every residence and building in the country. Caroling is a well-known Christmas custom. Simbang Gabi is a Christmas ritual in which Filipinos attend a nine-day series of the church. It begins on the 16th of December and continues until Christmas Eve. The dishes offered from kiosks near the chapel are very popular among Filipinos. Families in the Philippines celebrate Christmas straight after the Christmas Midnight Mass, unlike in other nations where families celebrate in the morning.

These are some of the countries that are sticking to their tradition in an amazing way and travelers may visit them for once.

Annually, sentient tales in the media remind people of the Christmas story's origins. Dwellings for the poor and unemployed are requesting donations of money or presents for those in need. Christmas cards that capture the spirit of the holiday season. Some of the cards are spiritual, while others are secular or even comical. Throughout the festive season, special Christmas music, or carols, are sung and heard. Carolers from local organizations or churches may go knocking on doors performing Christmas songs in communities.

I think the best part of Christmas is we forget all the problems and the negative vibes inside of us to the point where we just want to help people and give the best experience to the ones who are really in need. Sometimes, we can just wish that every day is Christmas so people will always be kind to everyone.
