Ok, let me start out by saying I am not a financial advisor so please do your own freaking research.
Just kidding on the aggressive context but seriously this is based on my personal experience with Atomic Wallet and my ability to preserve profits whenever they should arise.
And arise they shall---profits from digital assets. What's more, profits could vanish as fast as they come when investing in crypto
So what is an investor to do to keep their salt? Viola! Stablecoins, of course. Stablecoins are, well, like the name says, stable and fluctuate between $0.98 and $1.01!
However when using Atomic wallet I attempted to move profit from one crypto, ICX, to just about every freaking stablecoin listed in Atomic wallet and what I discovered was disturbing.
The trouble was that, as I attempted to move $100 worth of ICX to a stablecoin (ie USDC or Tether) I lost almost $15 off of my $100.
Whaaaat! No thank you. The reason for this perhaps is that stablecoins, some, operate on the Ethereum blockchain! Aha!, those freaking gas fees.
Dont quote me on my "gas fee theory" but it did happen, the deduction that occurred in my attempted crypto swap of ICX with almost all stablecoins listed in Atomic wallet.
My solution, drum roll please, I tried the Dogecoin. And dont you dare laugh at the crypto that started out as a joke because it saved me from losing that $15.
Dogecoin also has low volitility meaning, lately, it doesnt move much from its current price of .0026 cents. Though this can change but lately the change in price has been very small with the altcoin.
Since October 9, when i began using Dogecoin, it has gone up or down by %5 from .0026. All in all, Im satisfied plus Im not losing profit by swapping with a ERC-20 stablecoins.
Everyone has their own preference and may not mind losing a few dollars to alleged gas fees.
But in the world of digital assets, a $5 gas fee could be invested into a low priced crypto, which could subsequently see a %10,000 gain, and who would want to miss out on that?
Not I! Hopefully you wont miss out either. Good luck on your investing.
