The world's most sophisticated Corvette warship PNS Yarmouk has arrived at Pakistan's naval base.

The ship was inaugurated last month (July 13) by Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.

Last February, Pakistan signed an agreement with Romania's famous Dominion Shipyard to build several state-of-the-art warships. The first warship built for Pakistan under that agreement was the PNS Yarmouk.

Romania's Dominion Shipyard is famous for building state-of-the-art warships for the navies of various countries.

The inaugural ceremony of the state-of-the-art ship PNS Yarmouk was held at Pakistan Navy Dockyard Karachi. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmud Abbasi was present as the Chief Guest at the inaugural function.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, he said the inclusion of the warship PNS Yarmouk in the Navy is an important milestone. The inclusion of modern corvettes in the protection of Pakistan's maritime interests will undoubtedly play an important role in strengthening the Pakistan Navy.

The Chief of Naval Staff further said that the ship would help the Pakistan Navy in establishing a sustainable maritime balance in the region through maritime maritime security patrolling.

According to the Pakistan Navy, the PNS Yarmouk is a state-of-the-art warship built at Dominion Shipyards in Romania. It is a state-of-the-art Corvette warship equipped with advanced sensors and state-of-the-art armament self-protection and terminal defense systems.

With this Corvette warship it is possible to conduct several different naval battles at the same time. Moreover, it can carry a helicopter and a UAV (unmanned aircraft).

In addition, another Corvette warship in the series, the PNS Tabuk, will join the Pakistan Navy by the end of this year.
