Why liturgy is necessary part of Christian life?

Liturgy is not just a simple public work of the people but it is also a shared work between God. People serve in the community in order to fulfill the work given by the Church. As people are engaged in different activities of the Church, God is making His way to lead and do the work for them. It is done by God on behalf of the people as He is the one who sets a perfect example in all and for all things we must do in the service of Him. It means that people are not able to fully accomplish the work without the Holy Spirit sent upon by God through prayer to help them and be guided. It is a participation of the people of God in the work of God. 

The response of the people to participate in different sacred activities and celebrations is the bridge to continuously connect with God. It is not enough to say that obeying God is by just listening and attending mass every Sunday but without understanding the word of God. As was written in James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." People must put the words of God into action and practice what was preached. As a Christian and a follower of Christ, it is necessary to serve Him and continuously work for the restoration of the soul. People’s obligation is to be with God and live a life like His as what He wants the people to be.  Therefore, through the liturgy of the Church, we can procure salvation away from the wrath of hell. Worshipping Him is a way of proclaiming our devotion and faith in Him. It is a communal response where we can be saved, attain eternal life, and have the power to be changed.
