Sacrament of confession as “taken for granted” for others

0 18

In my opinion, I can say that it is taken for granted because most of the time some people do not confess wholeheartedly and truthfully. Sometimes there’s no sincerity in them when they ask forgiveness and it’s like on the surface of the water. It is not deep but a shallow confession because of  their pride from which they cannot accept as well as admit the sins that they committed. It is on repeat process because some of them know that our God is merciful and shall always forgive them. After confessing, they are back in their life again being slaves to sin. Some are just either hypocrites or don’t fully understand everything why God gave us a chance to confess our sins. They don’t realize that we don’t even deserve everything God is giving us even the grace but He continues to bless us more than what we asked for. We can confess multiple times if know in ourselves that we commit sins and our conscience knocked in, but it does not mean that even if we know that God will forgive us always, we will ignore the commandment of God and will repeat the same sin multiple times. If we will follow Jesus, even though we are not perfect, we must try our best to turn away from sins as well as temptations that we face every day in our lives and offer ourselves to Him for us to be saved.
