There is no denying that (we) Filipinos are still way too far compared to countries like Singapore, China, Japan, Australia, Palestine, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, South Africa and more where cryptocurrency adoption is high.

"But Philippines is on its way to that."

There is about 104.9 million Filipinos and only about 6% of our total population has knowledge about cryptocurrency. This is my own estimation where I based it through the number of total subscribers of Jhazel de Vera and Aiza Mercado (YouTube bloggers that educates and give tips on how to earn crypto) and other bloggers too that followed their steps, Facebook Groups, Coins.ph users (well-known wallet in my country for accepting payments in BTC, BCH, XRP and ETH).

Using map.bitoin.com, I have found that there were a total of 8 merchants in my country accepting Bitcoin Cash payments. The number is small as you can see but as I have said, Philippines is on its way to crypto adoption.

What I discovered?

How it educates Filipinos?

It is a way to expose Filipinos to Blockchain.

When someone passes the "Blockchain Fuel" and read it will ask themselves "What is Blockchain?" where a few of them could grab their phones and search it on Google to see what it really means. In this way, it will expose more Filipinos to Blockchain.

What happens now?

Mr. Ardy Mejorada on the subject "Blockchain Adoption" is one of those people who are campaigning for more industries in the Philippines to adopt Blockchain. He is doing its best everyday.

For now, let's appreciate merchants who finds simple ways to introduce blockchain.
