How Freelance Writing Changed my Life
I never thought becoming a freelance writer would have such a positive impact on my life.
How my Journey Started
I have always been interested in the financial space and am always staying on top of economic news and the stock market.
A few years back I decided to share my knowledge with the public by creating a blog.
I spent hours designing my website and the product was still mediocre looking. After I spent hours of work on my website it still looked awful.
So, I decided to pay somebody on Fiverr to design it for me.
It turned out decent, but it was nothing to write home about.
Not to mention, nobody was even visiting my site, so it hardly even mattered anyway.
Discouraged, I let my domain name expire and decided to stop wasting my time posting on my blog that nobody was even reading.
The Game Changer
Then, at the end of 2021, I watched a Graham Stephan video on YouTube called “Making $378K A Year As A Fiverr Freelancer | The Millionaire Side Hustle.”
I was shocked.
Somebody was out there making over $300k a year freelance writing on Fiverr!
Immediately after this, I decided to create my gig on Fiverr as a freelance writer in the financial niche.
I have never been the greatest writer, but I do have an abundance of knowledge in the financial space.
This knowledge was enough for me to get my first order and receive a 5-star review.
Each month I was getting more orders and I was getting solid reviews which inspired me to continue writing.
I was making money and didn’t have to worry about maintaining a website or any of the nitty-gritty parts of running a blog.
Better yet, people were seeing my content as opposed to the content just sitting on a blog with no views.
The Life-Changing Benefits of Writing
As I got better at writing I started to enjoy the process more.
I used to just write an article here and there, but then writing became a part of my daily routine.
Now that I am constantly writing I am learning a TON!
It is one thing to read an article about economic news and you will retain some of the information.
However, once I took the information I was learning and organized it in a blog post, my thoughts were sharper and more organized when conversing with others.
Anytime I am asked a question about a topic there is no need to go look up the article I read.
The thoughts are fresh in my head since I wrote about them, and I feel like I understand the topic on a deeper level.
Even if I don’t make another dollar from my writing career, the knowledge that it provides me with is invaluable and empowering.
For this reason, becoming a freelance writer changed my life for the better, and I urge you to write content to see for yourself!
