Remove All Devices

One thing which I have missed in my articles is the importance to remove all devices when meditating, healing or any other type of techniques. In this day and age, it's a lot more difficult than the old days.

So start with what's on your body, an example would be a watch. Maybe you have a cell phone in your pocket. Then you can start on the environment around you.

If you have created a sacred space try and remove any cell phones and modems, anything with a chip in it. Even electrical but I don't mean electrical wiring of the powerpoints. Having said that, the ideal space would have no electrical wiring and you would only use candles or fire for light.

From experience, the one which is forgotten is the watch and nowadays the cell phone in a bag or pocket.

Something I have noticed and it seems to provide peace and tranquillity is to not have your cell phone next to you when sleeping. It's mainly used for the alarm function so you will need to work out another way to wake up. I like to use mechanical clocks which do not have any electrical current in them.

My cell phone stays downstairs and usually on silent or aeroplane mode. Another advantage of not having the cell phone next to you while sleeping is that it's not the first thing you look at upon waking. It's also not the last thing you see before going to sleep.

It's a great practice to start and you might start to feel a different sleep and different energy. It will feel very strange at first and might cause some anxiety funny enough but if you can maintain it for at least 3 days you should start feeling the benefits and then it will not feel right to have it next to you again while sleeping.

Peace and Love
