New Year Resolutions
We are coming to that time of the year when we start setting goals for the next year. It's a great idea and can be very successful. What you need to realise is that the mind and ego will as easily help you set these goals as they will help you fail at those goals.
This should not stop you from setting those goals however, you need to understand that any goal you set will have to be worked on daily.
Try setting three goals which you would like to achieve next year and writing down everything you can think of in relation to those goals.
Then summarise the goals so they can easily be written in three sentences. Nice compact and precise.
Now, this is the important part outside of taking action on your goals. You need to start right now - today. Write those three sentences summarising your goals on a piece of paper which you can carry everywhere. You need to have access to this list at any time and anywhere. There is something powerful about physically writing it down. By all means, have it on your phone as a backup.
Every day upon waking look at your list as the first thing you do in the morning. Every day look at your list as the last thing you do before going to sleep.
You need to be working on your plan to achieve your goals every day. Plan ahead what you will need to action. Think about different ways you can accomplish your goals. Keep a diary of your progress.
You will start to see success after 40 days if not sooner. After 90 days it will become a habit.
Make next year the year that your New Year Resolutions came true.
