Mind Over Matter
I've been watching and listening to Wim Hof and his breathing techniques and mental strength. For those that don't know Wim Hof, he is a 61-year-old Dutch extreme athlete. His wife died by suicide back in 1995 which had a major impact on his life and four children.
That major event in his life turned his world upside down and he started trying to make sense of it all. During this time he started breathing and working with the cold.
By testing this technique over the years he started to get a lot of publicity for his amazing abilities and set world records. I'll name a few here.
2007: Worlds fastest half marathon barefoot on ice and snow
2007: Hof climbed Everest wearing nothing but shorts and shoes
2009: Hof climbed Mount Kilimanjaro wearing only shorts and shoes
2009: Hof ran a full marathon in the Namib Desert without water
Win's breathing technique:
Controlled breathing
Breath retention
Recovery breath
He has been tested by numerous Universities and scientists with remarkable and outstanding results.
Breathing is powerful and when you combine it with your mind, anything is possible. There is no need to be as extreme as Wim Hof however breathing has incredible benefits to the body and mind. Check with your Doctor that you can try these techniques and if you get the go-ahead give them a go. Daily practice is the best approach and after some 40 days, you should start to see the benefits if not sooner.

Our mind holds great power, if we can learn to control it, how we feel the things we do or think, there is almost notting we cant do
