8th of May is observed as International Mother's day all around the world. It's a day when people acknowledge the sufferings, pain and hardships a mother bears throughout her life. A Mother's life is not so easy. She is the source of bringing a new human being into this world. Suffers from so much pain and gives birth the her offsprings. She takes care of her children more than herself. A mom feeds her babies before she eats. Protects them from the cold by subjecting herself to problems. Actually, a woman life is no more when she becomes a mother. All she does is serve her family, bring up children in a good environment and that's it. Many young moms leave their jobs and flourishing careers only to pay more attention towards their families. When a baby is about a few months old, it requires a lot of care. The mother looks after him/her, ensures that he is well fed and clean. Within a few years, he becomes a toddler, A fun yet experimenting age for the child though a tiring period for the mom and dad . He picks an object, plays with it and leaves it somewhere else. And this happens everyday until he turns into a school going boy. Now, the queen of the house, mom teaches her the basics like alphabets, colors, shapes etc. In all these years, she lives with a single goal, i.e , the future of her baby. Years pass and the child has grown up to be a good looking gentleman or a young pretty lady. Now the mom is not young enough to do everything on her own. She used to work like a maid in her 20s or 30s bit now she needs attention and help of her children. The children however have no regard of their mom. They believe they have a lot to do to fulfill their ambitions and dreams. They don't even have time just to sit and talk to her. That's what our lives have become.
Necessity of mother's day
I believe that there is no single only to pay tribute or express your love to your mums. Infact, it's her right to be loved and cared throughout her life, especially in her latter days when she is old and feeble. Those who don't live with their parents, visit their moms and dads on these days like mother's day/ father's day. By doing this, they feel that they have fulfilled their right of being a good child. But that's not the case. We must understand that it's our duty to look after her when our mothers need us. The truth is we take our moms for granted. Ask orphans how their lives are without a mother. It's a popular saying in the east
" House appears to be a cemetery without a mother"
I think we must ensure that we spent at least half an hour with our mothers. Talk to them and take care of them . Love them as much as we can before they leave this immortal world.
A happy mother's day to all those mom's out there.❤️
