From birth to our death bed, it provides a continuous service every individual of every class in the society can attain. Sickness and diseases are prevalent in our times that health care should not be overlooked or else it will cost a life if left disregarded. In America, more than 16% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product is spent on health care each year that it claims to be the single largest industry in the United States. This is all about health care system using management science principles. Just in this current period, we have been experiencing a fatal virus that already killed thousands of people worldwide that made every country’s health care system a major non-stop functioning industry that saves lives. Because of the gravity responsibility of a health center, it must be occasionally updated, thus, old system of management and method must be updated or even replaced with new and scientific methods to ensure quality performance. Through operational tools, health center improves clinic layout, man-power routing and scheduling, purchasing of personal protective equipment, store keeping of medical supplies and accounting. On top of that, the application of management science provides approaches on the science and mathematics fields that help a higher success rate in any health care services.
This application of this technique helps in developing major issues in health care systems such as personalized care for everyone’s individual need and focus on improving the clinical improvement and procedures. This technique helps the health industry to become more efficient and effective for its patients and employees’ welfare. Another key asset of this industry is that it provides labor for various medical workers in psychology, medical technology, nursing and even blue-collared jobs that minimize unemployment in the area it is located. By this, more an excellent location of any medical structure can increase the value of the City and also, improve the living quality of the residents knowing that they have a place to fight diseases and get their regular checkup when needed. The application of management science is significant in various departments in a hospital or clinic because it can operate with mathematical and computer technologies to solve complex decision problems and execute complex surgeries and activities. It also standardizes the equipment, tools, and materials methods of work in each department to have an organized work flow and division of labor. Health industry produces so much wastes in terms of medical supplies and even papers that are filled with charts and medical documents. Which means we have to take extra care of our health because it is an investment so we can live longer.
Poor management of health care waste potentially exposes health care workers, waste handlers, patients and the community at large to infection, toxic effects and injuries, and risks polluting the environment. In some instances, the presence of management system can cause workers to slack off as the system already does so much of their everyday work that it already unproductive in their part. Scientific management can create more opportunities in a health care industry knowing that it can expand medical practices that ultimately, it increases the success rate of every operation. This approach can also improve safety system in the medical field by studying a disease or even a deadly pathogen in a much closer look through in-depth research and clinical trials that aims to progress the fight against deadly diseases. Having an organized decision-making process in a life or death situation can turn things into a positive outcome and this computer solution tool can store significant information that is easily accessible in a system to overcome data backlog and dislocation.
One of the most significant opportunity from using management science is the solution a s no-show check-ups and appointments that add to the expenses which also decreases the profit to be used for administrative expenses. These threats are not as important as saving a life that it is better overlooked than convincing the health industry of ignoring the value of management science. It is better to incur more in order to save a life than doing nothing at all.
Healthcare industry is a complex yet wonderful necessity that improves and lengthens a human’s quality of life that it we can overlook some of its downside because of its complicated nature. It needs strong passion, hard work and a lot of money to build a place where people can expect assistance that no life can ever be exchanged by monetary value.

Having to work in a diversified environment would be a joy to me because meeting different people with different background is what I envision for my future job. I believe that working with people with varied principles is not something that would hinder my self-growth, instead, it would open up new doors for me to rediscover myself. Like a manager, I can use other people so that I can grow through them. As an aspiring accountant, I must have a professional judgement and skepticism towards my task but that doesn’t mean that I would change my attitude towards my colleagues and intimidate them all the time. What I want to become when I start working is someone who is easy to be with. I want to know my place at work where I am someone who needs to be taught to grow, and I am also someone who can speak up when needed. At work, it is better to get along with most of the people you work with for hours in order to feel good even with tons of work ahead. Having a diversified work environment may not be always calm for there would be discussions and debates from here and there but I can deal with that as long as we all learn from each other. Having debates is not a bad thing. Having different principles that may clash is not bad for the company as long as we all know when to listen and when to give up an argument.
I am not someone who looks for trouble when it comes to voicing out my opinion but I would like to be someone who is acceptable to what others perceive even though I don’t agree with it. I want to look at someone without building walls and indifference just to act professional. I know that in the future, the Philippines would also improve its standards and I will not be shock to see mixture of cultures and ethnicity in one place. By then, I would probably be excited internally to see foreign faces at work and learn not just work-related things but also the things that they usually do that I am not familiar with. I am genuinely excited to encounter various ages and races at work that would add excitement to my life just by being able to interact with them. I want to eat at different restaurants that cater different taste buds, hence, Western, other Asian cuisines and many more that would expand my tastebuds’ knowledge. I want to learn more languages just to be able to interact with other people at work because I feel like English may be the universal language in the corporate world, it is still nice to learn new things and make other people feel comfortable and talk the way they usually talk in their homes.
I am also stern to improve my attitude when it comes to understanding people with disability and meeting them halfway so they won’t have to feel like a burden. I want to work well with people with disability and show genuine care to them at work so they can feel at ease and comfortable. Also, when it comes to gender, I have no problem working with anyone, I have a lot of friends with different chosen genders and I enjoy hanging out with them and I see no reason to discriminate them. They are equally skilled, talented and intelligent as straight people. Working for me should not be tiresome when I could do something to spice up my work life. I can enjoy little interactions with my future workmates and enjoy after work bonding with them.
Overall, I am up for the diversity in the organization because I truly believe how valuable it is that when I work, I would also work my personality development and expand my circle with various people that screams diversity. I believe how important it is to know my place which means, I have no right to look down on people who look, dress and think differently than me. I work for the company and the people I work with are valuable to help be become better.
**Evolution of South Korea’s Corporate World**
South Korea has been one of the fastest growing economy in the world; their diverse culture and great contribution when it comes to technology and modern inventions added up to this. I have been an avid fan of their dramas and music, Kpop, that I can say that I know a thing or two about their modern corporate world as I have watched tons of K-drama that happen at an Office/Work set up.
First thing that noticed when it comes to their workplace culture is that they have this hierarchical culture that is really relevant in every workplace wherein younger people or freshly hired employees to the company really respect their Seniors or “Sunbaenim” One example is even during their ‘team dinner’, newbies act obediently to carry out their sunbaes’ orders to them. I really admire this kind of respect to someone with longer experience but I can see that it can become toxic and other Senior employees could take this culture to bully others. In the past, South Koreans who work under an employer cannot really turn down the invitations to after-work drinking sessions or weekend hiking expeditions with the boss but nowadays, as I can witness in the new K-dramas, millennials are already trying to show strong point that they have their own private lives that they have the right to decline even their boss’ invitation if needed. This is really significantly different in a way to our country and even western countries because of the amount of respect and effort Koreans give when it comes to their work just to get promoted although I cannot explain it enough.
Second thing that I can notice to South Korean’s culture is their Workplace now has women who work in the office. Up until now, Korea has always been a patriarchal country where women are supposed to get married to take care of their children, however, this generation showed a great improvement in how they view women. Human Resource should not focus on personal details regarding marriage and children especially for working women.
Last and the most significant, it is really hard to get a corporate job in Korea. It even takes them years just to study and review for national exams to work for the government, years of studying for a degree, that getting a job there is cutthroat. I have seen so many dramas where the protagonists have a hard time getting or keeping a job that I can say that it is easier here in our country to get a decent job. That is why millennials now prefer freelancing instead of getting a corporate job. One thing that I can say is that pursuing and trying to build your own brand is such a risky but dignified thing not everyone could do. Building your own name from scratch may take years but still fail, but the reward of growing from almost nothing must be liberating that I admire those who quit their jobs to pursue their passion in life. I am lucky now that Polytechnic University of the Philippines ranked 1 as the Top Choice of Companies in the Philippines and I actually carry this kind of reputation to the university I go to which makes me more confident to enter the corporate world with a grateful heart.

I have been an SM foundation scholar for 3 years now and I am forever grateful to everyone who built this foundation and continuously works for its betterment.
SM Foundation is an organization that focused on social inclusion by nurturing and caring for communities where SM is present and provides educational scholarship to deserving students that are the future of our nation. Being part of this foundation, I can see how the employees that handle the foundation work hard for us scholars. They continuously work for the betterment of our online site so that we can pass our requirements without bringing inconvenience to us. In addition, I have witnessed how the employees work like family. They are so light to be with and very organized. Everyone has specialized tasks that the people there greatly contribute for the success of the organization. Before the pandemic, they have been actively organizing activities and events for the scholars and although it is not easy, they always do it with utmost care to what would make us happy. There are only limited employees and Ma’am Ling, and her subordinates, put so much effort to make everything go as planned. During our Christmas parties, I could witness how they communicate properly whenever contingencies happen and deal with it. Whenever we have our general meetings taking place in a huge venue, and scholars from all around Luzon attend, they don’t look intimidated knowing that our number overpowers them. They always look composed and collected. The employees and the supervisors have a very healthy relationship that we never see them argue.
Seeing them work and finish their task, I get inspired to become a professional who knows how to be lead and to lead. They showed us scholars that work should not feel like work and problematic, like them, we can have fun and develop friendships with our colleagues. Their behaviour and mindset definitely contribute to the performance of SM Corporation as a whole. I look up on how they make things done while working to help other people at the same time.
I am looking forward to develop my interpersonal and intrapersonal skills through these lessons that will enhance my sense of camaraderie with my future colleagues. Just like what Mrs. De Leon mentioned in our recent meeting, being educated with how organizations and the people in it work would build me more credibility knowing that I have enough knowledge understand how to lead and being mentored at the same time. We all have our own personal life and personal battles to deal with so working to earn money shouldn’t add to our problems. Being a leader is not an easy task thus, by studying organizational behaviour, I can make my future managers feel less burdened looking after me, also, they can see the potential leader skills that I possess while I was under their control. As managers use people to attain the goals, we must be equipped on how to be efficiently used for the good of our overall performance. They are really professional but they balance work with personal matters which makes them more approachable.
As a scholar under SM Foundation, I tried working once during Christmas break for 10 days and I can say that I gained so much during those times because everything felt out of my comfort zone. During that time, they were giving attention to us scholars because we are all inexperienced but I saw how they let us do what some tasks on our own and I believe that it helped us gain more confidence to do bigger tasks. As I worked there for a short time, I became acquainted with the people I work with even if they are way older than me. I realized then how it is better to develop genuine friendship with the people you work with so I can feel at ease with approaching them whether I have questions and showing them that I am still learning without being scared of being judged.
One time, because it was raining and I have no idea that I would be so wet from the December rain, I got there with my stockings drenched with rain while others look dry going to work, I felt cold and ashamed. I was trying to think whether I would just go home and tell them I’m sick but when I asked the regulars, they understood my situation and told me to let it dry first. Just like that, I knew how important it is to communicate with others and I felt happy that they were understanding and patient to me instead of making me feel ashamed of my situation. Those kinds of empathetic co-workers make the work environment feel more like a family and it makes everyone work with less drama and disputes. If every organization feels more like that, then going to work doesn’t have to feel burdensome and work can still be fun and enjoyable with effective and compassionate people.
If you see yourself being part of tasks not because you are assigned to do so but because you genuinely want the best for the company you work for. For me, a goal is not meant to be easily achieved just by luck, the people involve must work hard for it to turn into a reality that if I become a CPA, I must do what I can do to contribute to the success of executing a strategy that everyone put their effort in. As we all know, decisions are dependent on the information and data collected, thus, as an accountant, all I can do is produce solid and credible financial statements. Being accountable on my duty and behaving with great integrity so the outputs I can share will lead to a cohesive decision that everyone agrees with.
After I graduate, I want to give back to this amazing foundation which helped me achieve my dreams and supported me financially to reach all my goals in life. I know how much they treated us with so much care and I am so happy to meet the people who guided us by showing us how compassion could change everything for the better.

Throughout the years, there are political, social, and environmental issues that continue to rise and flourish as our world continues to grow in population and changes start to happen each day with the fast-paced economy and ever-changing climate. Climate disasters are on the rise. This also includes green market. The United Nation Office stated "Climate change is not just a distant future threat. It is the main driver behind rising humanitarian needs, and we are seeing its impact. The number of people affected, and the damages inflicted by extreme weather has been exceptional." Scarcity and diseases are very dominant in third world countries that lack proper management in their natural resources and raw materials on hand, thus, management of companies are keen on developing a supply chain management to have a good work flow and handle their supplies and materials properly to avoid sudden risks on handling, transporting and managing resources for their production.
In our fellow Southeast Asia country Thailand, green concepts are continuously getting the attention among manufacturing companies that rely on heavy machineries that ultimately contribute to environmental pollutions. Nowadays, companies all around the world are encouraging green supply chain implementations. Supply chain management has been used for years but turned it into something more environmental friendly like a green supply chain which supports the reduction of wastes and greenhouse gas emissions generated during the production process. This movement will also combat issues regarding social and economical problems. If these environmental issues keep on happening, many industries may be affected by the fast-changing world of commerce and fast-moving of resources that are very limited.
Supply chain management concerns the movement of raw materials into an organization from internal processing of materials into finished goods, and the movement of finished goods out of the organization and toward the end consumer. Manufacturing companies involves the management of the flow of goods and services, involves the movement and storage of raw materials, of work-in-process inventory, and of finished goods as well as end to end order fulfillment from point of origin to point of consumption. The processes are interconnected and linked in order for the supply chain management to take place. Supply chain management is an effective way for an organization to manage the inflow and outflow of goods in their planning, control, and monitoring of supply-chain activities.

With a proper inventory management, the inventory on hand will be enough for the time period a new batch will come making the production continuous as possible. Commerce and manufacturing industries can focus on other things other than waiting for the materials to arrive at an indefinite time adding expenses every minute idle time takes longer to be solved. Another benefit of having this system is a better management in high demand products that need fast pacing production with the lowest cost in handling, thus, more profit for the entity. The downside of this green supply chain management perhaps is the green factors used in the supplying the palm oil may not cover all the operational activities of the plant. Although there are studies about its value, it may not be enough to prove its reliability during these times. Information such as quality, price, time, and transportation cost while they still lack evaluation on environmental impacts. Also, data collection about this deal with lots of information that data might not be stored properly. Lastly, because of its traditional models, simulations are not always present that real-time and contingent problems may not be easily addressed by the management. Green suppliers can help motivate a cleaner work force that aims to fight environmental issues. A multi-criteria decision-making model to green supplier selection under fuzzy environment can benefit the management in the decision making process that is a huge step in solving an issue and these solutions are concrete and easy to execute also simulation models that are made for the process can be enhanced by comparing it to a more realistic approach using the MCDM model. Because of green supply chain’s collaborative idea, suppliers may develop long-term relationship with buyers by promoting their green practices as valuable contributions towards sustainability. The economy can benefit in terms of environmental solutions that are given based on the model and help the country in fighting the scarcity, diseases and pollution that make the quality of life worse especially to the poor. This green concept is also obviously beneficial for the nature and environment which are the producers of our natural resources and materials that ultimately provides for everyone. Making this MCDM model can alleviate geographical and economical issues like what happened to the Palm oil industry that struggles to make ends meet regarding their resources that are limited against the high demand.

Courtrooms filled with different types of people with different backgrounds are something that we do not witness in our daily lives, unless, we are players laying our cards on the court. ***Behind every case that takes place in there are back stories of an offender, an eye witness, the defendant, the attorneys and the Judge who is the most powerful person inside the room.***
*Innocent until proven guilty*—This is a basic principle of Law and for some reason, the basic Accountancy mantra rings in my head: Never assume unless otherwise stated. When you accuse someone guilty when in fact, he is not guilty is wrong in so many ways. When you act based on pure assumptions is a mess waiting to happen. You see, the thing about basic principles is most of the time, they are not that easy to apply in real life to begin with. Admit it or not, we are all guilty of being judgemental and impulsive and these two combined together is a dangerous case. Drugs, murders, felony and every cases that involves influential families always lead to collateral damage of the unfavored families who are just in the wrong place and at the wrong time. When Oppression disguised as Legal proceedings take place, a lot of powerless people will be the sacrificial lambs to satisfy the hunger of those unjust yet powerful wolves that destroy everything that goes in their way.
The poor needs the wealthy, and the wealthy needs the poor. A simple message of the class theory that eats up my hope for our justice system because from the way I see it, **the justice system in the Philippines is not that just after all.** This is a case to case basis but ultimately, the poor class is subject to oppression while the privileged just gets away from their wrongdoings.
They say money is the root of all evil, but for me, it starts from a person's attitude. Just by looking someone with your lustful eyes is already a sin and that doesn't require money but the choice to treat someone without respect and violate their rights. Attitude drives our goals, and our goals drive our actions. **Dirty money is just the easiest way to come clean.**
During this administration, you are lucky if you belong to the top pinnacle of the society. Must be nice to have an eye to eye contact with the powerful lawbreakers disguised as lawmakers. The defendant without proper knowledge about law and enough resources to afford their own lawyers is easily accused to be guilty with unreasonable doubt. The reality slaps us that it is really ****'guilty until proven innocent'**** for most of us being looked down by those on the top. No matter how hard we try to hope that equality is not just a fantasy, we can never change the fact that the Justice favors those who ignite the fire that burns the poor and gives warmth to the privileged.
Those unjust people with silver spoons in their mouth don't easily admit how rusty their attitude is. Those considered deprived of sparkling spoon receive the punishment for the crumbs of others and sometimes, what happens is that the justices they are fighting for are swept under the rug because they will never be the priority. This is the reality of our country. As our mind only selects important memories and informations, same goes with our justice system, they only remember what they are paid to remember. They are easily persuaded by the authority and elite who can afford to jumble the witness' words, make up a new story and provide fake evidences just to get rid of the possibility of them being jailed as they should be.
No matter what happens, my faith and hope only lies to our *Just God.* He is the judge who will listen to the oppressed and provide the justice and favor as we cry out to Him. We can only rest our case to the Most Powerful One who will never let us suffer from injustices we do not deserve.

Why do students have to apologize for the slow internet connection?
I am not targeting anyone. Not the professors or the teachers. Not even the education department but the **Idea** itself.
I am one of the lucky students who have a just about right stability on our internet because I live in the city but most of my classmates live in the Province and as I see and hear them get anxious about the stability of their wifi, mobile data or pocket wifi during synchronous classes, I can't help but be reminded how lucky I am.
Here in the Philippines, the most renowned internet service provider is the Philippine Long Distance Telephone aka PLDT. They have the wildest coverage thus covering both urban and rural areas. They offer prepaid and postpaid internet for their fiber, phone bundle and home wireless connections which I have no personal idea how efficient it works but based on what I see on the social media, PLDT lacks a strong connection compared to what they promised to the users. Globe is the biggest threat to PLDT. It is the rushing to defeat PLDT our of its throne by further expanding and developing their internet speed. The third is Converge which holds the title for the fastest internet connection provider here today. This is the nationwide provider of fiber internet which is said to be best for gaming and streaming. Well, just last night I witnessed my brother almost breaking his phone because of our internet 'lagging' or whatever. Therefore, I cannot agree to it all the way.
These established internet providers have their own unique selling points and capabilities but for us users, what matters most is the speed that is relevant to the price we paid for. But do they deliver? Not really surpassing what we wish for.
Students are not the only ones susceptible to slow internet connection but even the professors so both sides apologize for the turtle speed of their internet. That is fine and okay but the moment the students experienced it during an online quiz with time limit, it is a huge burden only the consideration of the teachers can lift up.
Personally, when it happened to me, I felt cold trying to figure out what I can do to pass my quiz on time. I realized that if you have a stable wifi, you cannot really be sure that it will remain stable at all times and what happened to me was scary and good thing, my prof is very considerate but the second time it happened to my other classmate, the prof got mad saying that it is not his fault and as students, we need to have a back up plan when contingency happens.
A few days ago, another student died because of suicide and it is because of not being able to pass his module on time and being reprimanded because of it. It is heartbreaking to be honest. I may not know him personally but I can relate to him. It is really a slap to a student not being able to pass the requirements on time especially if they worked hard for it. But what can we do? We do not handle the speed of our internet.
We can only just apologize for it and hope that we are understood. No matter how we demand for a faster internet connection, we can never control when it will have its glitches and lags.
Compassion and consideration are really powerful characteristic we must have during this new normal. If the other side of the line gets choppy and disconnected, we have to understand. This is the only key we can have to overcome turtle net and struggles of online learning and working.
When is the Deadline?
Online school is like a battlefield and surviving is all about our weapon to combat time management, surpass the requirements and fight distractions from whatever is happening behind the camera.
And most importantly, overcoming deadlines.
Truth is, online school is all about passing our requirements and meeting the deadlines.
I have been fighting anxiety from being able to understand difficult lessons and dealing with my inner demons. You know the feeling when you already feel guilty of not studying in times where you have to but still do nothing? Demon.
I am very much blaming myself from my lack of motivation to start my day early and study all day. My attention span has been greatly damaged during this quarantine. I have no one to blame but myself alone. I am a lazy person and I hate myself for being like this. However, I don't wanna be too hard on myself. I am still someone's daughter who have other responsibilities.
Lately, I've been comparing my situation with my other classmates. Some of them don't have any responsibilities to help their parents with their business or what. They can study, sleep and study without being too problematic of other things. While on my part, whenever I am at home and my mother is running our store, I feel bad because I want to help. I don't think its to have a reason to not study but because I am just genuinely distracted from it.
But one thing I realized: whatever I'm doing is for my family. They don't even say that they want me to help because they want me to focus studying but it is my own guilt that is eating me up when I just supposed to breathe and study. This is all for my family in the end.
We all have our own hardships in our life and I am not supposed to compare just because of this little hurdle. What matters is that I have the opportunity and means to study despite this pandemic thanks to God.
I am grateful for my realizations because I stopped being too hard on myself and just let the day pass balancing both being a student and a daughter and so far, so good. Life should not revolve over one aspect of our life. Take time to breathe if you sell online, work from home or taking time to rest from all your hard work.

How to Conquer Online Class Learning
This is the very first time that we will experience a learning method through online classes and modular for all students from all around the world.
No matter how much we reveal that the students, teachers and goverment are not 100% ready to undergo this drastic transition, many are expected to continue their education through online classes due to some reasons. The situation right now is like walking in a thin ice, everyone is cautious and scared to get infected and many families are also suffering financially. Not all parents have the capabilities to provide gadgets and stable internet for their children especially if they are already having a hard time putting food on their tables.
Personally, I will give this year a chance to experience online class not because I want to try it but because time is really precious for my course. The moment I decide to stop, I will miss my lessons and forget even more what I learned for the past years. Ultimately, the reason why I will continue is because the timeline is crucial for us Accountancy students here in the Philippines. The moment the reign of President Duterte ends by 2022, one of the most crucial change would be the Taxation reform in the country which means everything that I learned about Taxation would be useless. Which also means that I will have a hard time reviewing for the board exam.
No matter how much I support Academic Freeze, I know that I will not totally benefit from it which may sound selfish but truth is, I just want to finish and graduate on time. If I have to deal with a lot of anxiety or stress because of online class, I will do it still for my family.
**Here are some ways we can overcome the new method of learning this time of Global crisis: The new normal**
1. Manage your time WISELY
We all know that most students like me who are not privileged enough, will have a hard time managing our time. Responsibilities are not just overwhelming in school but also in our very own homes. Students are daughters/sons as well. We don't get to just focus all our energy in doing our school requirements but also our requirements in the house such as doing the house chores and helping our parents with their business or looking after our siblings.
This time, what we can do is the balance our time for both demanding responsibilities. First, uninstall all apps that redirect your attention to other non-academic things. Delete it for now because ***remember, online class is fast phased that the sooner its over, the more time you can spend with your family.***
You can have a to-do list to know what is needed to be done sooner and report the deadlines of each to manage where you will focus your time for the mean time.
Focus your energy in finishing first the important tasks before you do the things that makes you forget about school. For example, focus first in your readings and assignments before you watch a movie for 2 hours.
Don't waste your time with useless overthinking. Remain sharp in the important matters that need your intelligence and deep thinking.
Reward yourself but don't lose momentum. Be productive in both school and house chores so you can feel better at the end of the day. Treating yourself with quality sleep and bondingg with your loved ones are the best kinds of reward you can give for youself.

Don't memorize but UNDERSTAND
As I have said, online class is fast-phased. You have to stay sharp and committed in doing your requirements on time and acing your quizzes and major exams.
Remember the lessons by heart. Make an effort to make reviewers that will help you a lot even after for the next topics. Train both your body and brain to communicate with one another.
Absorb when you can still absorb. Our homes can be very distracting. We can't always do something about it. Sometimes, we choose to study during night time. Study when you know that you understand and not pretend that you do when you are actually are a mess inside your head.
Note: It is advisable to study during day time, preferably, around 6am where our brains are functioning at 100%.
Don't forget to refresh your mind whenever you are memorizing. Take short breaks. Make some acronyms. Do what makes you confident in memorizing by heart.
If you don't understand, ask. Your teachers/professors are there to help us comprehend. Even our friends can help us understand complicated lessons so don't hesitate to ask for help.
Note: Your professors are also humans with their own family and responsibilities. Try to communicate with them during class or office hours as much as possible.
Set an inspiration to MOTIVATE you
Knowing that we are at our houses, our inspirations are just around the corner so don't hesitate to lean on them when you feel burried with school stuffs and remain motivated
Our motivations live with us normally so getting inspired is not that hard. Choose to be inspired when you feel lacking and empty from all your tasks on your palms.
Don't think that you are wasting your time studying when it is for your future ahead of you.
Stay excited with what you are doing.
Charge yourself
Like our gadgets, students and teachers also lose power to move and be productive so don't forget to charge.
Take a deep breathe and clearn your mind with other rubbish thoughts.
Be mindful with your surroundings. If they are having fun, you can still join them.
Don't be scared to have your own fun through listening to some musics and watching films that makes you happy.
Find Happiness in LITTLE things
This journey will surely drain us but let us be happy for all the little things we have right now: complete and healthy family.
Don't be too burdened and overly worried from this method of learning.
Breathe, look around and find reasons to smile. Nourish your time to become pro in using online tools and applications that you may use even after this new normal.
We all want to skip this stressful and cautious time but we can't. For now, we can be equipped with the new normal through accepting this challenge and overcome it with the people we love. You are lucky to have the opportunity to learn during this pandemic so be more grateful that He let you continue your studies. Those who chose to not enroll are not wrong, they have the rights to choose whatever they want for themselves. They have reasons that are not beyond our control.

Praying is one of the powerful weapons God has given us. It is a very important activity especially among Christians. Why? Because through praying, we can communicate with the Lord.
Spending quality time talking and having a private and personal conversation with God is priceless. *We can say everything we want without fear of being judged the wrong way. We can ask questions and confidently know that we will be answered.*
During this Global crisis, we could be under a lot of stress and anxiety from the situation we're experiencing but battling **Faith crisis** is a more important battle to win right now because without faith, you will be win other battles of life.
Why do you think people pray? It is because we know that we can never control our life and only God can do that. If someone is sick, only Jesus Christ can heal him. If someone needs provision, only the Lord can give both physical food for the body and food for the soul. It is not in our hands whether we would get by everyday but only through the Grace of God.
A prayerful person is a POWERFUL one.
No matter how you stutter and be lost for words when talking to God, He will understand you. It doesn't matter how quick or long you pray as long as you know that the presence of God is with you while you pray. Quality over quantity. God understands how your mind works and you may not speak clearly but the Lord can see right through our hearts.
**Don't compare your prayer life to others.** If you are just beginning to have a prayer life, you may lack confidence to speak to God but I assure you that He hears you always if try to talk to Him. Don't be discourged just because someone uses more grand words and phrases. Simple words of prayer are just as powerful.
**Faith comes from hearing and hearing the Word of God.** Seek the Word of God by reading the Bible and you will witness so many testimonies that will transform you. Meditate the Word of God and surely, God will speak to you and give you so many answered prayers.
One of my favorite testimony in the Bible is in the Book of Genesis:
When God promised Abraham a fruitful life with many descendants, land and a nation to build but he soon became frustrated because his wife is still not getting pregnant, Abraham questioned God.
Ambraham compalained and doubted if God would ever fulfill His promises to him.
Just like Abraham, we also question if God would ever fulfill our prayers when time goes by and still, we don't what we want. We complain, get angry and rebel because we don't consider whether what we prayed for are actually the best for us.
Because of that, God reassured Abraham that He will keep His promises and proved a point when He took Abraham outside their home and pointed at the sky.
"**Look up at the sky and count the stars, if you can. Just so, He added, will your descendants be” (****Gen. 15:5****).** http://www.usccb.org/bible/genesis/15
See? God is a promise-keeper. Every word He says will happen. Every promises will be kept. Don't rush things just because you want it to happen now.
This is a very important point: When God showed Abraham the sky and pointed that the number of STARS will equate to his descendants, ***THE SKY HAS NO STARS AT ALL.***
As I read this, I had goosebumps! That time, the sun is just about to set which means it is still DAY TIME. No stars are seen but **Abraham BELIEVED GOD.**
***That is how FAITH works. You will believe even if it is impossible in the first place because God is the God of Impossible. He is always faithful.***
If you are Abraham and God made you count the stars and you saw nothing, what will you feel? Will you feel mocked? Will you feel betrayed? Or will you trust Him that even if there are no stars, His promises will happen?
We may not see it, but God is always working in our life. He works for our advantage. Your prayers are not put to waste!
**Be confident when you pray.** Your expectation should be high. Claim it because your reality will surpass your expectations. See the impossible and receive it with all your heart.
We have to build our life with the faith we have for God and not on other things that make us hope for nothing.
Count the stars in the sky and that will also equate how many blessings you will get in your lifetime.
Always spend quality time with God and say how much you are thankful for everything that happened to your day and not just because you need something. Expect not just the normal but the Supernatural.
Pray until SUPERNATURAL happens!

the wife he never noticed (True Story from the Bible)
This is a testimony of Leah who is silently in pain until God wiped her tears away permanently...
Leah, the first wife of Jacob and a mother of his children.
Leah was the unloved wife. Her name, Leah, means 'weary' in Hebrew. She loved him dearly but she felt exhausted because her husband, Jacob, never reciprocated her love.
Let me first start on how they met. . .
Jacob is known for being a deceiver. Yes, he was not that good that's why he was forced to leave his home and live with his uncle Laban who was as bad as him.
Uncle Laban's youngest daughter was very fine with a beautiful face and a pleasing body figure. Her name was Rachel. Rachel is the youngest and at that time, being the youngest means the last to get married.
Leah was the opposite of Rachel. She was weak-hearted and not that beautiful with a 'cross-eye.' Nobody really wanted her as a wife. She has no suitor at all. She was in trouble for not being married to anyone for the rest of her life.
Until Uncle Laban plotted a very wicked and deceiving plan. . .
And in this plan, Leah was the pawn.
Jacob, with the desire to marry Rachel, agreed to work for Uncle Laban for 7 years. Those years will reward him to have Rachel's hand for marriage. 7 years of longingly waiting for his bride to be, Rachel. He was passionate and energetic to work thinking about the reward.
After seven years, the wedding is about to start. It was planned very nicely and everyone was invited to come. At dawn, Leah was taken abruptly.
Before the wedding started, Jacob was in euphoria. He was very excited to finally be the husband of the girl of his dreams and to hold her forever.
When it was finally time, the sun was shining and everyone is already there to witness the wedding.
Jacob's excitement and longing feeling was flashed down the toilet when he saw the woman standing after him. She was dressed in white, clearly looking like a bride, but she was not Rachel.
It was Leah. The oldest of the siblings and the 'unwanted' one because of her looks.
The Bible verse goes like this...
Genesis 29:25, NIV: "When morning came, there was Leah! So Jacob said to Laban, 'What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn't I? Why have you deceived me?' http://www.christianbook.com/page/bibles/translations/niv?navcat=Bibles|Translations|NIV
Little did he know, Uncle Laban was more wicked and deceiving than him.
Laban wanted to marry off his oldest daughter so he tricked Jacob for it. He promised that for one bridal week, they will have their time as married couples, then, he will allow Jacob to have Rachel instead for another 7 years of serving him.
I can only imagine how that week meant for Leah to finally have a husband yet the Bible didn't elaborate on that. I can feel how disappointed and sad she must have been when she saw how Jacob reacted towards her.
So for 7 more years, Jacob worked under Laban. The first seven was nothing as he was excited to have Rachel and this time, he was determined already to make love to her.
Finally, he got married to Rachell and made love to her.
This is when the Lord saw the sadness of Leah. Leah is competing with her sister who share the same husband as hers. Jacob was madly inlove with Rachel and never saw Leah as his wife or even a woman.
**31** When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless. (Gen 29:31)
Despite her situation, Leah remained faithful to God and The Lord showed His compassion by blessing her womb with the first-born child of Jacob but still, he never noticed her.
Ruben- Behold a Son! (Leah had the honor to give the first-born to Jacob but Jacob didn't love her still)
Simeon- the One who hears (because the Lord heard her weeping)
Levi- having affection (Leah thought by having 3 sons, Jacob would finally feel attached to her)
Sadly, nothing changed with how Jacob treated her but somehing inside Leah changed instead. She began to finally realize how God really works to give her the hapiness she prayed for.
Her fourth son was named Judah that means Praise.
Two more sons and their names equate to Reward and Honour.
At the end, she was still unloved but she began to have a deeper relationship with God who heard and saw her misery and ended it.
Leah found happiness in her children who became leaders of their own.
Leah who Jacob never noticed finally found her happiness by the Grace of God. From bitter to better, her life was changed forever. Her true love was God all along.

I read somewhere that if *you are not ready to die everyday, don't fall in love.* So does this mean that love kills? I cannot believe that love is a. . .*killer*.
Suicide has become apparent year after year. Studies show that in United States, suicide is the top 10 cause of death of the people. There is really a complicated way to determine the reason behind suicide or suicide attempts unless the suicidal person reveals the cause of it through letters or other means.
According to the study of BMC Public Health held in the Philippines, ages of those who commit suicides ranges from 15 to 24 year old for both male and female. I am not being assuming but these are the ages where people begin to reach puberty and understand their sexual desires and commit into romantic relationships. Love can be a silent killer, indeed. People dealing with failed relationships, physical abuse and break-ups are commonly prone to emotional and psychological risks that most often lead to suicidal attempts when it is not dealt with the proper medication or action of those involved with the conflict.
There is a Theory of Attachment that can support why romantic relationships can lead to serious mental health risks. Attachment or bond is said to be a deep emotional bond when someone feels connected to the other person like a child's connection to his/her mother. When adults seek for someone's care and affection like an infant and undergoes a serious separation anxiety when they experience that the other person is slowly drifting away. Loving someone most likely give the people sense of identity. Especially long-term relationships, love is an unbreakable bond between lovers that the sense of identity and security are so strong once it is broken will bring total mess. Broken-hearted people who experience termination of relationships become vulnerable, lost and chaotic inside. They feel too burdened and that's when they have a hard time finding their own sense of identity without the other person. That's when they are exposed to morbid ideas and depression.
I am not saying that broken-hearted people are always depressed. It is a matter on how they cope up with the heartache. The healing process is the valuable step to overcome such risk of suicide. People who seek help and guidance to their loved ones are most likely to get over faster. Getting over someone can be very slow but dealing with the grief through acceptance is the best thing to do.
Love starts with the feeling of familiarity. It may be romantic or just love for family and loved ones. When you have that feeling of ease and comfort to someone, you are in the verge of loving him/her. But it is not that simple. Familiarity is high maintenance that it requires time, trust and experience along with that person. Being with someone for a long time, sharing stories and memories together, how can you not spare a space for them in your heart?
Healthy relationships should be our goal and not the toxic version where 'lovers' feel upset, hatred and destroy one another instead of building them up. This is also a dangerous kind of love. The hate disguised as love. This is like a poisonous drug that slowly kills the inside of someone.
Look at you now. Are you dead? No. Because love of all kinds should strengthen us and not the other way around. It should motivate us to be happy and to live happily. Love is a powerful weapon that makes us want to live more.
Above all, God's love is never dangerous. It is freeing and passionate. It is the foundation of all types of love. We must first seek the Love and Presence of God to complete us. His love fills us with happiness no one can give but Him.
When love becomes dangerous, let go of it.

Can you keep secrets?
Answer this honestly for yourself.

This is a really powerful quote. Keeping secrets is tricky and almost a burden to those who cannot hold any confidential information among themselves.
Everyone of us has secrets. Sometimes is it wise to keep it in for ourselves but some secrets are hard to keep. You have to have someone who knows it as well to share to burden or to not make you feel suffocated.
Once you give trust on somebody with your secret, it is crucial and only Time can tell whether it will be exposed or not. You have to give a leap of faith that she will keep it with her on her grave.

For me, this means that a secret is no longer a secret once you reveal it to someone and expect him to hide it. This is hard to believe but we can never really expect someone to not tell, like 100%, because we tell them not to.
I know how hard it is to keep a secret. I am guilty that some secrets shared to me, I also shared them to my other close friends as long as it is not any DARK pasts and sorrows that I forbid to share to protect what is entrusted to me. I know I am not that good with secrets for I am very close with my mama who I share everything with.
I will never generalize because I am sure this is not the case for everybody. Most people are honest to not kiss and tell. They have engraved in their hearts to hide something, even if it is so hard to do it because they might get into trouble or worse, suffer from it.
Secrets are promises that are kept between people who trust one another but it can also feel like a PRISON to someone who can hardly hide it from guilt and fear for the person with secret who might experience the pain of once it is revealed.
Keeping secrets is wise but thinking that it will stay hidden forever can be foolish because we all know that TIME can tell everything even the trashes we put under the rug.
One thing is for sure, you should share secrets only when you know you can keep one yourself. As much as possible, learn first to keep one before you share one because you can never expect someone to do it for you if you can't do it yourself.
We all have secrets. We all have told secrets. We all have kept secrets. How to deal with it is our choice. Remember the first quote: secrets are only safe once you tell someone and the next day, they are dead.
If we don't want the burden, make sure not to engage into something you will never be proud of to disclose.
The Most Unfailing Investment
***Everything loses value as time goes by.***
Your phone. Car. Machines. Equipments at home or at work. Building establishments. Personal things.
Almost every asset *depreciates*. This means when the value of something *reduces with the passage of time*. When you have a very expensive phone, after months, it will no longer be worth like how much you bought it because it is obviously used, and the market already makes better and new versions.
Simply, no matter how expensive something is, you cannot use if forever. You will have to replace it with something once it is broken and useless.
There are FEW assets that DO NOT depreciate:
**Cash on hand**- the money in your wallet never loses value unless you lost it.
**Bond investments**- this one is still risky. You can never be sure that the stock you invested will rise in value or not.
**Leased property**- '*pinapaupahan*.' This is the property you let others rent for a period of time. It is great to have investments like this as long as you measure whether the people you rent it with can pay you whole or run away from you.
Of course, we never want to lose our hard-earned money. We want to put our money into something with 100% return.
I guarantee you, the most unfailing investment is always **L A N D.**
Land is the premium asset that NEVER DEPRECIATES.
You only need to be strategic and patient. Just imagine the piece of land you buy today will sell so much more in the future.
Personally, we lived in Makati City for 12 years and we only rented our home. The rent was incredibly costly and if only I know before (which is impossible because I am a clueless child) I would've told my parents to lease the house and after years of leasing, we could've used the money on buying our own land. Good thing after 12 years, my parents bought a house and lot in Quezon City.
Compared before, the cost of per piece of lot in Quezon City today could even reach to millions already (with reasonable site and square meter size) Just imagine the people before who owned hectares of land located in Taguig City and sold the properties today. They surely are millionaires.
**Purchasing a land is never a dead money.**
Yesterday, I heard my neighbor sold their parents' house and lot for 8M pesos. That is a big sum of money and obviously, they didn't lose anything from using the land. They benefited from the land by building their house they lived on for years. The house is already depreciated so selling it is not that advantageous but the lot is the star. It was the main source of the profit.
Do your thorough research. Find the best location and the most reasonable price. Imagine the future state of the land whether the site will be a commercial or residential place. Make sure the transaction is legal and with proper papers. The **title of the land** is the crowning glory, without it, you have nothing to hold on.
If you already own a any size of land, then consider yourself a millionaire already. You're lucky to have such clever ancestor or parents to provide an amazing investment to pass on. Or if you bought it yourself, you are an awesome investor.
So if you ever just want to invest, you know where to fund it.

Perfect Imperfection
You are a Work in Progress.
No matter how you try to be perfect, to be good at everything, become someone you very powerful- you can never be too good to be true.
When you act like you can do everything on your own and independent- stop it.
*Self-reliance* never pleases God. He wants to see us dependent and imperfect just as the way He created us to be.
Before, I thought that I can do things I set my mind into. It is not my fault to be born with less resources than others but it will be my fault if I die and still have nothing.
So I try to do better, look nicer, more skillful and matured even when people around me say otherwise but as I reflect upon this, I realized that perfection is impossible to us because only our Creator suits that word.
We all experience downfalls and obstacles in life that we wish to overcome to be better. We don't need to be perfect to conquer this imperfect world. We all struggle to finish any deadline. We struggle to make ends meet. We struggle in our studies. We struggle as someone's daughter or son in making our parents proud. We struggle to communicate and understand the people who think differently from us.
We desperately struggle to figure out what to do when we face challenges. We have freedom of choice from the options laid in front of us. When we run out of money, we have options either to ask for some loans or other people to lend us some. When we are in serious trouble of wrong decisions, we can either face it or run from it.
We obviously don't know the perfect solution to anything. We just have our best guess and look into statistics but the universal solution for everything is already given to us.
***Pray for guidance. Seek for the Lord and trust Him completely.***

Even if we are imperfect, Jesus Christ died because of us. He saved us from our sins by dying on the Cross. He wore the crown of thorns. His palms were engraved with nails. He was crucified without doing anything wrong- He just loves us to suffer death.
Remember how important you are. How enough you are. How loved you are. How precious your life is. Just try to live your life with grateful hearts. God never promised a problem-free life.
No matter how perfectly imperfect we are, remember that you are alive now because the Lord died for you.

This is a really simple analogy: You ordered something online and it comes with a freebie. You didn't pay for it but the seller did so it means that it is actually not free for someone's point of view.

My Favorite Meryenda
Hi! So we made turon for meryenda!
I feel like Turon as meryenda nowadays is not common unlike the old days.
I documented the process of cooking this for the sake of non-Filipinos who are here in RC.
Ingredients:
Wrapper
Banana na Saba
Sugar
Langka* (optional)
Oil
Prepare the ingredients. Slice the banana into two and Separate the wrappers.
Spread the wrapper and place the bananas on the bottom center and sprinkle some sugar. Adding langka (jackfruit) would make it sweeter.
Roll it like a burrito or sushi. Make sure it is tight.
Fry it. Don't let it burn~(my brother burned some >.<)

Miss Taken
*Once upon a time, there was a boy who was overly anxious towards people.*
He was *awkward*, *tensed* and *always worried* that he might inconvenience the people around him.
Whenever he is ordering something, he gets tensed thinking about the people next in line. He wants to get out of the counter faster. Even when the people next to him were younger...
"*Here*.." his hands shaking as he gives his money to the crew who can notice his discomfort.
Whenever he is trying to study in the library, he makes sure not to make any kind of noise that will distract others. As an accounting student, he even uses the manual calculator (which usually makes sound) carefully to minimize its sound.
Whenever he rides the bus, he always gives off his chair to someone because he thinks people would need it after a long day at work.
Seriously, I can't tell whether he is just too kind or overanxious. Anyway, I am his guardian angel. I am assigned to him because of someone.... Not really sure who it is.
*Fast forward.*
The café he usually goes is at its peak. No more extra tables. He readies himself to go once someone asks him to take the extra chair in front of him.
Someone did.
A girl. A girl who looks very calm and composed.
Woah. I think *she* is the reason why *he* needs me.

Boom. My boy just felt the rush go up in his brain and he just hastily grabbed his things to escape this awkward situation.

As he was sitting on a half empty bus, he noticed the cup and his face looked like he saw a ghost.

That's not his cup. It was the girl's. She really is Taken.
The overly worried guy felt his energy drained. He just had enough of his anxiety that keeps getting away from having his fun and potential love life!
So as he lie in bed, he decided to do something. He researched.
Constantly worrying is just a useless emotion he needs to get rid in his system. He studied what actions to take to make his brain worry less.
He saw some doctors to help him. He gradually changed his behavior. An active lifestyle that releases endorphins was what he needed.
It didn't take just days to change the way he is.
Months passed. Almost a year when he felt better about himself.
The higher ups told me that I will just stay with him for a week.
One week before I finish my mission. So, for the whole week, I made him go to the café every day to wait for her.
I was starting to lose hope until on my last night, she came!
Finally, this boy will get his girl! He will have his happy ending because he deserves it. He already suffered enough.
He went up to greet her as if she still remembers. For months, he gathered his confidence for this day. He won't let the girl away without regrets anymore.
***"Hi! I know you don't remember me... but we met here almost a year ago.."***
Woah. He sounded cool! I felt so giddy witnessing this.
***"Wait... you're the guy who got my cup on the way out!"*** she smiled sweetly. She remembered him. I felt so happy and as I went up, slowly returning home, I listened to their talk, smiling.
Until I almost cannot see them.
My boy, the girl and then there's another person..
I was so sure he's gonna get the girl. I was there to do that for him! He did everything to change so he can finally have a chance to be with her.
*....but she's taken.*

I was listening to some songs last night when this story inside my head bugged me. This may be corny but I just have to write it so please bear with me :>
What I Hate about Myself

*What's your biggest insecurity?*
*If you ever have the chance to change something about yourself, what would it be?*
The process of being an adult is cutthroat. Puberty, if you're past or already in this phase, you'd know what it does to people.
Changes in the physical body are brutal. Your voice would change, there's hair growing out every where, acnes and pimples start appearing in your once fresh and smooth face.
Then there are emotional changes that worsen what you're feeling. You feel uncertain, overly-sensitive, confused and the mood swings. It's terrible you'd wish to just stay as a child forever.
**But past that, you are already an adult.**
Someone sure of what she/he desires. Someone with confidence to conquer the world with overflowing knowledge and skills. Someone matured, goal-centered and fearless.
*But what if that wasn't the case for you?*
What if you're still an adult that feels lost and dependent. You still feel uncertain on what to do next. You still need a manual, guide and anything that leads your way so you won't get lost.
You are still insecure. You have to have someone on your side and hold your hands or else you will tremble with anxiety this cruel world can give.
Insecurity is a *deadly parasite* that slowly kills its *host*. Even a child can feel insecure for their toys so what more to adults who are already at their peak of building their own name and career.
I have a lot of insecurity regarding my physical appearance but let's not dwell on that. This generation is already too obsessed with their standard of beauty that fitting to the format is too tiring...and expensive.
My biggest insecurity would be my tendency to compare myself to others which makes my other insecurities show up. This is really twisted and very hard to deal with.
It's like I am getting bruised because I am punching myself.
But slowly I am fighting this disease of mine. I want to let go and be free from this insecurity that keeps me from loving myself totally.
Comparing yourself to others is like **differentiating apple from oranges.** A waste of time. A waste of braincells. Why compare when both have their own strengths?
Insecurity is a btch that needs a upper hand to shut it up. A parasite needs a dose of treatments to kill it. Learn from the bruises it caused you and fight back.
***Try to treat yourself better. Be kind to your own well-being. Stop staying at the gutter to feel down and self-pity. Embrace your flaws more. Embrace your past. Stop comparing! You already did enough of that in the past.***
If you feel bad about yourself, do whatever it takes to make you feel better. See yourself in a better light. Whatever age you are right now, remember that insecurity is a total waste created and you're the one accepting the trash when you're not even a trash collector.
What I hate about myself is that I have to hate myself just because I see only my flaws and imperfections. Why can't I just love what makes me feel insecure to feel better.
Seek for self-love in the middle of insecurity.

You actually experienced it. Lucid dreaming is quite common for I personally went through this. I became conscious that I am in a dream so it feels strange for me.

Lucid dreaming therapy is the practice of stopping recurring nightmares through lucid dream. Fighting back the attackers and having superpowers.
It can become a creative activity when dreamers go on adventures and meet new people through story telling.
This is really cool. Imagine being in control with your dreams.
However, dreams and reality are two different truths. No matter how much we enjoy lucid dreaming, we still have to **face the reality of life.**

on Earth
but the best thing for me
is something we cannot see with our naked eyes.
Living in this temporary world, we can never be sure of what's gonna happen. As a human with infinite needs and wants, **T I M E** needs to be on our side in order to fulfill our desires.
Running out of time means letting go of the other things we love on Earth.
Running out of time means being gone forever and vanishing completely from the people we treasure most.
Time is a blessing we can only afford through Him.
Our ***Bucket Lists*** will never be done without the precious time to accomplish all of it. Our ***treasured memories*** will remain stagnant without the time to reminisce it.
Our chance to ***correct our shortcomings*** will never be possible unless we still have the chance to do so.
See how important it is?
Having the gift of time means living.
Living is the greatest blessing- a miracle, we have right now.
Being alive means a chance to spend more time with family and friends. Being alive means a chance to see the beauty of nature and being inspired with it. Being alive means you can love as much as you want and being loved in return.
Being alive right now is **EVERYTHING** and experiencing everything life has to offer entails that four letter word we can't even grasp, taste or see.
