COVID-19 Patients labelled by Numbers

We all know the situation right now. We are undergoing a worldwide pandemic that only God knows when and how it will end.

I will not discuss facts about the deadly virus but the people affected by it.

30th of January 2020, the first case of Covid-19 was recorded in the Philippines and she is a female-Chinese National. Obviously, she came from China that's why she got infected. She was Case number 1.

Little did the DOH know, the first local transmission was the 5th case without travel history. Adding her husband, the 6th case reported but the 2nd local transmission.

That was when the chaos and alarming news start to take place. Classes are suspended. Quarantine becomes our resort.

As of today, total cases in our country went from more than 260,000 and still climbing up for more cases everyday.

The number of cases continue to rise every day. From transmission, to recovery to deaths..

Many people have died from this. It is sad to witness the death reports of the victims who are labelled by case numbers. Without proper names and titles.

HOWEVER

I know that it is part of the protocol. It is best for everyone to hide their identities.

Releasing their names could worsen the mourning of the families. It could cause panic from the people who know about them. The families could also experience discrimination.

Even with how they are labelled, they are and will forever be etched in their families' hearts and mind.

Although it is sad, it is still for everyone's sake.

Soon, the labelled numbers will not be for positive patients.

It will be the numbers who survived. Tested negative. Tried the curable vaccine that will end this dark time.

Let's be grateful from the miracle of being alive and healthy. Another day means another chance to be with our families, do what we enjoy doing and just being able to make new fond memories.

The coronavirus stopped the biggest step of life. I just started, like life is over now. Above all, I pray to God to keep all living things on earth in peace and security.

Your prayer is on point and I also pray for that as well. We may experience that this pandemic stopped our plans but as soon as this is over, we will all come back stronger than before 🙏

Being alive, healthy, and still kicking right now is to be thankful for, specially when the members of your family too.

Having food on the able and a complete family during this chaos is to be thankful for. God is doing his thing on this. He is hearing us. We just have to pray and have faith with everything He can do to save all of us. He can see us. He can hear us. And he will save us all. Faith and hopes up! ☝️🙏😇

They don't really abide to tgat protocol now since the "recovery " rate inflated. Plus there had been predictions that it would become a new strain of the common cold or flu so it's honestly better to get infected. It's not that bad an experience. I know from experience by now

oh yes yes i remember you told me your experience! you're right that it's better to be infected and be immune after it as long as its a mild symptoms because it is still scary for young and old people to be positive knowing that their immune systems are not yet developed. but still, as long as the recoveries are rising it means we're doing the right thing of following the advises of frontliners. :>

It's not in not following the advises of the frontliners but simply the fact that the government honestly took no measures in stopping the spread in the first place. The quarantine was not enough. The undelivered testing never happened. And the fact that they're this close just letting herd immunity take place, honestly. Just look at what they call recovered. That speaks plenty for the situation here now

Sad that our government is incompetent and irresponsible. Instead of focusing on fighting the spread of virus, they focused on other useless things which makes me one of those who are furious. We deserve better but now that this is the reality, we can only help ourselves. Let's stay alive and once this is over, we are already aware on what kind of people are in position on who to vote on the next election. :D

Well yeah. Hopefully on the next term, some more decent people will come up and try to make a decent change for once. Mayne on a millennial perspective in mind too since that's the working generation at hand

We all have been through a lot because of this pandemic. We're all anxious about getting infected. Families mourn for their fallen loved ones. Infected patients who continuously suffer and fight for their respective lives. We've gone very far with this. All of us are affected. Especially the economy. Frontliners, no actually all of us, have suffered and sacrificed more than enough. I really hope that this will soon be put onto its end.

I also hope for this to end soon... but right now we just have to suck it up and be very careful on everything. Let's put an end to this by following the protocols, living healthy and staying faithful to God who controls everything that is happening. Salamat sa napakagandang message na sinabi mo, bb 🥰😘😘

Yeah. Taking precautions is the best thing to do right now. We can't just ignore this one, our lives are the ones at risk. And yeah, let us stay faithful and trust God. But I don't really think He's the one who's in control with the world, considering all these bad things continuously happening. If He's in control, God wouldn't allow us to continuously suffer with his will. 😊

I agree on the first half but it is true that God is always in control. Sufferings and pain are just part of living. God didn't promise an unproblematic life. Death is also inevitable. Being in pain and feeling sad are part of His plan so we can reconnect and surrender everything to Him. Meron din namang gawa ng kaaway pero yung Will pa din talaga ni Lord yung mangyayari. Lahat ng to naplano na Niya eh. Even sa Scripture, death and slavery are always happening because it becomes a testimony once we all understand why it happened and how it impacted the characters. 🥰 Thanks for your wonderful opinion @bbang 🥰🥰🥰🥰 stay safffeee kayo ng fam mo 😍😘😚

It's not about the numbers tested negative oy. Those tested positive and not getting ill are immune. This means vaccination isn't needed just like with many other flues caused by viruses. This is a SARS virus and not the first one and it will never disappear. Neither did the other viruses we live with.

Those getting immune tested positive first so they get to donate some of their plasma for lab works and it is used for vaccine trials so I think vaccines are needed for extreme cases unlike those who only experience mild symptoms. we can't really tell whether we would not need a vaccine knowing that viruses can be developed into a more serious type... Still, I do get that we are scared to try vaccines for precautions but as long as it undergone serious clinical tests, then we might as well go for it. Thanks for your opinion 😚😚😚

A donation is free with us. No one is forced to it and in most cases they do not ask for it either. Over 50% of the infected are 20+ followed by 30+ and they do not feel sick. Among the elderly about 1,6 % is infected.

uhm, what's your point here? yes, it is not really compulsory to donate your plasma after recovering but not everyone is really aware of this. (do you think if you know, you would not want to give help) it is true the being passing the virus to other person and to another lies smaller and smaller risks or (better) with asymptomatic symptoms but that doesn't mean they don't have to donate??? is that what you mean? this process is actually vital to know more about the virus and its weak point so why would we not want to do it.
