How many times have I experienced that when there is something that I am waiting for to be finalized, the more I try to find answers, to speed it up, to complete it, the more I think about it and push the process forward, the more it is delayed. And the more I say, "Whatever happens, happens" and stop pushing, the answers appear, speed up and complete.

Does this sound familiar to you?

How many times have you drowned in your thoughts trying to find answers?

How many times have you pushed yourself to speed it up and got tired?

How many times have you found that the more you wanted it to be completed, the more unfinished it became?

It doesn't happen as we push and wear ourselves out because there are so many variables we don't know and don't see. We don't know what the other person is thinking unless we hear it from them, we don't know that the outcome we want will actually affect us badly and that a better option is about to appear instead, we don't know that while we are pushing ourselves to move forward on what we think is the best path, a shorter path will soon appear.

We think we can control every aspect of life, that we can change others, that we know all the options, that we always know what is best for us, but we don't.

If we compare this universe we live in to the ocean, we are part of the ocean and we create the ocean. But there are fish, sea stars, seaweed and so many other beings that create the ocean and that we have not yet seen or met in the rest of the ocean that we cannot find, recognize or calculate what they will do.

And I am glad it is not! If it were, the ocean would not be an ocean that mesmerizes with its beauty. If it were only under our control, limited to our thoughts, then there would be no room for miracles and coincidences and we would live very limited lives. The fact that there are many things that are not under our control explains the perfect functioning of the universe, the fact that our ocean is full of miracles and that balance can only be achieved in this way. Imagine if humans could control everything; then we would have a monotonous life, where the balance would be disturbed in a short time...

If you knew that your perspective is limited, that there are many side characters (fish in the ocean, sea stars, seaweed, etc.) that you are not yet aware of, and that thanks to these side characters you have achieved beautiful results that you never expected, that you have met random people, that help is knocking at your door just when you need it, would you still want to control everything?

My answer is NO! Unfortunately, when I get lost in my thoughts, when I feel helpless, when I can't achieve the results I want no matter what I do, I get pessimistic. Just like you. But when I go one level up through the clouds of thoughts in my mind, like the black cloud bank that puts the airplane in turbulence, the turbulence passes and I can look down from the blue and calm sky above to the clouds below that look like a cotton field. And it is only when I am at that level that I can see the rainbow waiting for me!

To be able to allow what is to be is to give yourself the space to see this rainbow. It means moving from that state of forcing to that state of being in the flow.

Always do what you can in the moment, but when you try your options, when you try your best and you don't get the result you want, don't wear yourself out by constantly thinking about it and worrying. Worrying will only increase the time you are in turbulence and the longer you postpone going out into the blue sky, maybe the rainbow won't wait any longer and will disappear...

Let things happen so that everything happens in its own perfect time and you can catch that rainbow. Even if you don't realize it, the side characters are working for you in a way you don't know, in a place you don't know.

Don't be sad that you don't have everything under control; on the contrary, celebrate that you don't have everything under control!
