Topic: MOSES

Passage Reading: Num. 12: 1 - 15.

Central Verse: Numbers 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth)". NKJV

Key Points to Note:

There are so many arrogant leaders in our world today, who don't care about their subjects. They are always after what they will get out of others not minding their state of being. God wants men who will stand in for others believing them to turn a new live becoming better than they use to in Christ. Moses is a man who is very meek. It is centred in this message as a leader who is humble to the core despite the power vested on him to lead others.

Moses understands that he has no power of his own, humility is the only way to sustain the power he commands. When we have the mindset that what we have is not by our own doing but of God, only then can we live humble per time. God exalt the humble and His wrath is on the proud.

Spiritual Inbox:

As believers of Christ, we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us but we become nothing before God without meekness. The Lord lifts up the humble and He casts the wicked down to the ground. Let's live a life of humility and enjoy the pleasant provisions of God.

Prayer:

Oh Lord God My Father; let Your Spirit of meekness rest upon me afresh so that I may not misbehave before You and man thereby leading many to Christ and Your kingdom in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen... Thank you, Lord.

My Point of View on the Matter

Moses was born in the city of Mush in Egypt. His father was a member of the Levites, a son of Levi. His mother was an Israelite, who had been forced into slavery in this country.

The head of his family decided to put an end to Moses' life and flung him into the Nile. The child was immediately picked up by Pharaoh's daughter, who raised him as her own son. A few years later, Moses killed an Egyptian who had been mistreating a Hebrew slave. To escape punishment he fled to Midian, where he married and settled down to a quiet life.

He took up shepherd's work but remained troubled by the suffering of his people. God spoke to him in a burning bush and gave him instructions on how to lead his people out of slavery. Moses undertook a long journey back to Egypt, where he gained the trust of Pharaoh and slowly began to win the trust of his people. God sent ten plagues on the Egyptians, after which Pharaoh allowed Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

After many years of wandering in the desert, Moses led the Israelites into Canaan and then across the Jordan River. Once there, God gave him a set of stone tablets on which were written the Ten Commandments. Moses died at Mount Nebo and his remains were buried by his brother Aron in the valley of Moab.

Moses was born to Amram and Yochebed in Egypt. He was raised in the Egyptian royal palace but he had an early life encounter with God when he saw him performing miracles on Moses' older brother. Moses later left Egypt after killing an Egyptian and having a burning bush encounter with God. He led the Israelites out of Egypt and the Red Sea crossing happened at a place called 'The Burning Bush'.

In the Bible, God refers to Moses as a great prophet. Some of the events which were documented about Moses include the Ten Commandments, his encounter with God at Mount Sinai, the plagues upon Egypt, the final months of his life and his death.

The Bible says that as a young man, Moses killed an Egyptian who was beating a fellow Hebrew. Moses fled Egypt and ended up living in the Midian Desert with his family. There God spoke to him in the burning bush (Exodus 3). Moses then went back to Egypt and confronted Pharaoh to let his people go free. The Ten Plagues then hit Egypt, and then Moses led God's people out of Egypt. He gave them God's laws at Mount Sinai (Exodus 20), and they travelled through the wilderness to cross the Jordan River into Canaan.

Moses spoke with God face to face and he saw God's glory on Mount Sinai (Exodus 33:11). He wrote down the Ten Commandments (Exodus 34) and helped write much of the Bible.

This is what I know about Moses the prophet of God.
