Case Study: JOSEPH

Passage Reading: Gen. 39: 1 - 23.

Central Verse:

Job 28:28 And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding". NKJV

Key Points to Note:

We are in the days where many are lovers of themselves, their hearts are filled with greed, cruelty and self will. Some leaders today feel they have the power to do and undo, believing no one can question their words and actions. God wants men who will lead according to His will in all facets of life. Joseph is a man that fears God and departs from evil. It is centred in this massage as a leader who fears the Lord and desists from evil.

Joseph knew doing evil is not a good quality of a leader and it shortens the lifespan of a man. As believers of Christ, we are destined to rule, lead and dominate our world. The fear of God in us will always guide us as we rule our world according to the will of God. Any man that leads without the fear of God will become a huge concern of worries to his subjects.

Spiritual Inbox:

As leaders, the fear of God is a must possess quality without negotiations. It helps us flee from the appearance of doing evil both before God and man. Let live in the consciousness of who God wants us to be and depart from evil.

Prayer: Oh Lord God My Father; let Your Spirit of the fear of the Lord come upon me afresh so that I may lead according to Your will here on earth and depart from every appearance of evil in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen... Thank you, Lord.
