Senyoritalks: Expectations the Root Cause of some Pain
Some people are often seen as happy and seem not to have any single problem. But beneath their smiles lie the things that keep on pressuring them, including different expectations that arise within their environment.
Anyways, there are some ways you can mitigate these expectations and things that reason out why it is the root cause of some pain, which we will talk about in today's episode of senyoritalks.
Now, here are the things you can do:
Minimize expectations.
Don't keep up with everyone's demands.
Live life to the fullest.
Less is more.
Do some action, not some words.
Minimizing expectations. Establishing expectations is a part of who we are as people since we are so intertwined with the rest of the world. When you care about someone or are somewhat connected to them, you instantly form expectations. As a result of this, you may experience discomfort, especially when these expectations aren't met. Thus, minimize your expectations because once your expectations are reduced and you start accepting things as they are, things get better, and soon enough, you will notice it.
Don't always keep up with everyone's demands. As if it wasn't bad enough, when you believe you've met everyone's expectations, no one does. You are deceiving yourself if you think of something that does not actually happen, my friends. You can't keep up with everyone's demands. You may have met some of their expectations, but you never know what's really going on in their minds.
Living life to the fullest. Living life to the fullest means savoring each and every minute we have with the people in our lives to the maximum extent possible. Taking in everything that the present has to give, and absorbing all that it has to say. To employ a very common cliché, life might be likened to a "roller coaster ride." The most important thing is to have fun while we're on the journey. Expectations will always be there but do not let it hinder the bigger picture.
Less is more. More often than not, frustration is the result of unreasonable expectations. In elementary school, I learnt that I like to be delighted rather than being upset by anything. My expectations, which seem to be quite high, are constantly being lowered. However, the majority of individuals will fall short of these high standards, and more than half will fall short of even the most basic ones. And this is something that people should work on because less is more.
Doing some actions instead of just saying words. It is your deeds, not your desires, that will determine your level of success. Finding out what you can do to make a difference is the challenging part; the simple part is recognizing what you should be doing in order to effect change. Gambling, for example, is an example of putting our trust in someone else or something else to happen that is beyond of our control or ability to influence. The result is that you have no control over the probable consequences and decisions you make. It is best, in my view, to focus on the things that you can manage and to have faith in your own talents rather than trying to control everything.
As to why it is the root cause of some pain, it goes this way: Everyone, including ourselves, has an identity that includes expectations. What sets us apart, though, is the degree to which we have complete control over how we feel. In a bad aspect, expectations drive us to desire more and might put us in an unhappy situation at times, or pain, on the other hand. Expectations may serve as a motivator for particular behaviors. Still, you may either continue to impose your views on other individuals, or you can choose to take priority on what is most important.
Final Thoughts:
All in all, dissatisfaction is waiting to be fulfilled because of expectations. The only sensible thing to do is not to anticipate anything at all if possible because expectations are sometimes loaded with irrational, erroneous assumptions. It is a subjective word that differs through experience, understanding, and various circumstances, and sometimes, the root cause of some pain.

There are lots of expectations set for us. Sometimes, it makes people think to question their worth when they don't meet what others have expected of them. But what is important is we enjoy life to the fullest. Minimize the expectations, and all will be alright.
