A TREATY ON CONSPIRACY THEORIES: It would be good to understand the essential reasons for the almost desperate need of all people, whatever their race, nation, education or gender, to THINK of such a confusing, vague and chaotic world in which we live. COVID 19 is a great example of this because it is now finally clear to all of us that we have no idea about this pandemic. The brain has an urgent need to systematize content, and when the amount of information is huge, vague and confusing, it clings to the explanation that (mind you, this is important now), corresponds to the system of values and constructs that we already manage. In the andragogical sense, our critical thinking, which, by the way, is under a frightening blow, misses only that information which does not disturb our mental homeostasis. So, everyone will believe in what fits their previous attitudes, prejudices or stereotypes, and they will miss some threatening information, but only if it is not too incompatible. One of our great researches from 1998 has undoubtedly confirmed this, and there are hundreds of such empirical endeavors in the world. They all say the same thing. So, given the flood of fake corporate news, the huge oil battle that is yet to come, and the recession of all recessions, this phenomenon will be even stronger and even bigger, and any attempt to eradicate these theories has no chance in the future. No one is immune from her, least of all me.
