There aren’t a lot of reliable solutions involving cryptocurrency in the real estate market out there. Tokenized crypto real estate appears to be the best option we have today and RealT has been the most liquid, easily usable, and consistent tokenized assets I own for earning passive income. Let’s dive into what RealT is all about and why tokenized real estate is so awesome.

RealT allows investors around the globe to buy into the US real estate market through fully-compliant, fractional, tokenized ownership that is powered by blockchain technology. What they do essentially is buy a property and then say they break it up into 100 tokens. That means each token for a 100,000 property is worth 1% of the total property and valued at $1000. If you buy one of these tokens, then based on the APR, you will then get that same percentage worth of rent paid to you in the wallet where you hold your RealT token. So in this example, you’d receive 1% worth of the rent not including upkeep fees.

 

I own 5 different properties and they regularly pay me out USDC which is a stable coin pegged to the US dollar. They pay this out to ensure the payouts aren’t volatile. They simply send it to the wallet that you have holding the tokens. For me, I use Metamask to hold my tokens and that’s where my USDC is also sent.

 

You can go to the marketplace on https://realt.co/ to buy or sell as well as Uniswap. This helps keep them more liquid in the case that you decide to sell. If you do sell within a short amount of time because you changed your mind, they will waive the realty fee as well.

Quick question, when you own real estate and rent it out, as the owner you are liable for repairs and maintenance. How is this taken into account as monthly earnings are always the same as far as I know.

There was a company called Uinvest doing likewise a few years back. Collected earnings on my property for a while until they scammed out. Going to be doing a lot of homeork in this space as a potential housing crash will be a great entry point.

Thats something new for me. I would check it out to see how much minimum requirement platdrom allows and if there are ownership issues or its just like getting ownership of virtual real state contracts. I surely will keep an eye on the project and updates.
