I think LBRY, Flote, Uptrennd, Publish0x will dominate 2020 as the top blockchain or crypto monetized social platforms. Though DTube, Steemit, and DLive could also be big players, it heavily depends on their migrations to Tron and the future of the Steem blockchain. Letā€™s discuss why this is the case.

LBRY - I think this is a great project and while originally there was some resistance with needing to download the application you can now get on their platform using beta.lbry.tv. As a creator, you a highly limited with your upload file size on the website though and will likely still need the application. I installed it a while ago and had some issues but figured it out by referring to this for troubleshooting: https://lbry.com/faq/startup-troubleshooting.

I really appreciate how you can import your YouTube videos though it does take a bit of time and puts you in a queue. Follow the instructions at https://lbry.com/faq/youtube to sync your YouTube channel.

Also, I will note that considering itā€™s supposed to be decentralized I found it odd when I disable ā€œshares diagnosticsā€ and it disabled my ability to earn rewards. So, I reluctantly re-enabled it so that I could earn rewards but now my account ā€œmust undergo review before you can participate in the rewards program. This can take anywhere from several minutes to several days. We apologize for this inconvenience but have added this additional step to prevent fraud.ā€ So, to some degree, I question the total decentralization aspect if I must give them my private information to monetize and they must approve or deny my application. To be fair, they approved very fast. When everything was approved, it automatically uploaded my content like BitChute does except it imported my entire YouTube catalog which is really nice and gets my stuff out to that audience with ease. Not only that but depending on your YouTube subscribers, they will pay LBC monthly just for having uploaded your YouTube videos. You can then let it automatically upload your YouTube videos or upload them manually. This has a lot of potential and now with the beta website and mobile application, I think it may be the number one video hosting dapp today.

Publish0x ā€“ Publish0x is an amazing platform that is growing fast. Withdrawing funds is easy and you never have to worry about their tokenomics since they donā€™t have their own crypto tokens but instead add new ones monthly which you will earn and can easily trade and sell them on exchanges. Considering Iā€™ve already earned hundreds of dollars, Iā€™m intrigued and impressed. Using Publish0x has become a part of my daily routine now. I have had many chats with the CEO and they have some amazing things in development.

The only two gripes I have are that notifications donā€™t show comments yet though Iā€™m sure this will be remedied soon, and they have no mobile application yet. They are crypto agnostic which is awesome. That means they donā€™t have their own coin and instead are open to working with any cryptocurrency project which ensures they wonā€™t become biased. Not only that, but it gives them a huge integrity boost to know that they wonā€™t be able to exit scam or that the platform wonā€™t see a decline if the value went down like we are seeing on Steem. Even more impressively, the CEO told me that heā€™s made no money from this platform. They only process withdrawals on Mondays so if you withdraw Tuesday you have to wait 6 full days, but itā€™s not that bad and worth noting that this is because they use offline storage and it is done for security reasons. They are the first platform to let you earn many different cryptocurrencies for your content in one place and they continue to improve. They did make primary recommendations, but when weā€™re talking about centralization, Publish0x is one of the more centralized of the primary platform recommendations, but Iā€™ve never had issues around that and feel itā€™s definitely worth using. I would say itā€™s the most consistent platform for earning crypto on though it is heavily focused on crypto for now. As it expands, Iā€™m sure the niches and focus will expand as well. - https://www.publish0x.com/?a=gl9avjgaG1

Ā

Uptrennd ā€“ They have their token listed on exchanges so you can now trade your points for 1-UP tokens and sell them with ease. Their topics and discussion are currently fairly focused on crypto and a few other closely related topics, so itā€™s pretty niche for now, but they are starting to allow for more communities so they have fulfilled my main wish and relieved my concern. I see great potential for Uptrennd as the interaction and engagement is amazing. The community is really awesome too. It has a fun gamified approach to earning crypto and itā€™s unique. I did have the pleasure of speaking with and interviewing the founder twice and I do believe in his vision and what theyā€™re trying to do. Though, it would be much more attractive to new users if their coin had some solid value behind it. They are also going to potentially introduce staking and owning your own communities and earning revenue as ways to earn more 1UP. They have been growing significantly and doing very well so they finally deserve a spot in the primary recommendations.

I did an interview with the CEO Jeff Kirdeikis last year here: https://youtu.be/z9JerFgR8yk and again this year here: https://youtu.be/3z4UbyAZF4k

I believe once their coin gains more traction and value, they could even be the top platform. Currently, they are in my primary recommendations because I see great potential here. - https://www.uptrennd.com/signup/MTY1Mg

Ā

DTube ā€“ Though Steemit has left the Steem ecosystem, DTube still has a strong community and whether or not they remain on the Steem blockchain, migrate to TRON, or just pursue their own blockchain DTC which is in testnet, I still believe DTube will continue to be a strong platform. Though 3Speak doesnā€™t have its own blockchain, I believe they will also continue to perform fairly well as a blockchain video hosting dapp. They are both amazing platforms and I highly recommend using them. - https://d.tube/

Ā

Flote ā€“ Crypto version of Patreon focused on privacy and free speech. This company acquired BitBacker and has been building upon their original vision. They have created a very easy to use platform with encrypted messaging, easy BTC donations, live streaming without platform fees, and more. Itā€™s similar to Minds, except it seemingly has more donation transactions and interaction even though itā€™s much smaller. Iā€™ve already got $3 worth of BTC donations per month and the CEO is rolling out a creator ad revenue sharing program. Itā€™s developing fast and I highly recommend checking it out. It doesnā€™t actually post content to the blockchain nor is it necessarily decentralized, but their rules are extremely basic, and they are all about the user. I also did an interview with the CEO Kingsley Edwards which you can check out here: https://youtu.be/P0maW6y1cmg - https://flote.app/

Ā

DLive & Steemit on Tron? ā€“ For DLive and Steemit joining Tron that one is still a mystery as to how that will all go but my fingers are crossed. Itā€™s definitely something to watch for later this year!

I really liked your review and they amazing but I have a concern with the new algorithm used by Publish0x and that isn't transparent at all, it's notable that you can post your article there, and it don't get viewed by users as it maintain more time some articles on top and other don't get the views, that caused a lot of trouble to my post there, the platform is awesome but that algho isn't transparent at all!!
