Ingredients
melted clarified butter - four tablespoons
cake flour - one cup (3/4white flour plus 1/4corn flour)
vinegar - a half teaspoon or 1/2 of lemon juice
baking soda - half teaspoon
sugar - half a cup
vanilla essence or extract - half a teaspoon
water - half a cup
salt - a pinch
nuts for garnishing
Method
Melt the clarified butter and mix in the sugar and stir it till it is dissolved completely. Let it cool for a few minutes. Meanwhile, sift the flour and the baking soda at least two times.
To the melted butter, add the essence, the vinegar, water, and salt and mix well. You can add yellow food color if you like. Meanwhile, preheat the oven for about ten minutes at 180-degree celsius. Also, line your cake pan. Add the flour to the wet mix and fold slowly till there are no lumps. Transfer the mix to the pan. Add nuts on the top if you like and bake it for about thirty minutes till done.
This is an eggless recipe but will be enjoyed by all. Mainly intended for those who suffer from egg allergies and vegans or vegetarians.
