What is Satoshi? and Satoshi to BTC Convert.

Bitcoin is the world’s first cryptocurrency has a unit called  “Satoshi”.

A Satoshi is the smallest unit of the bitcoin cryptocurrency. It was named after Satoshi Nakamoto the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin.

It all began on Nov. 15, 2010, when BitcoinTalk user Ribuck proposed that 1/100 of a bitcoin (0.01 BTC) the smallest unit that could be displayed on the interface, at the time be called a satoshi. Ribuck made this proposal, and none of the other users on the BitcoinTalk forum affirmed or denied his proposal.

Three months later, on February 10, 2011, Ribuck made a similar comment regarding the unit of account denominations. But this time around, Ribuck’s comment felt more at home in a thread titled, "More divisibility required - move the decimal point" This time, when Ribuck joined the discussion, he got feedback - eight days later, in an entirely new thread titled Bitcent, in which BitcoinTalk user Kolbas decided it was time to think about smaller monetary units recorded on bitcoin’s blockchain.

in Bitcent thread, users commenting to initial proposal of Ribuck, and user says:

"1 satoshi = 1 microbitcent (smallest denomination)
100 million satoshis = 1 Bitcoin(BTC), Are we agreed?"

And another user replied, "Affirmative". And after that, it was all done:
0.00000001 the smallest amount that could recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain, became known as Satoshi from that moment.

The general unit structure of bitcoins has 1 bitcoin (BTC) equivalent to 1,000 millibitcoins (mBTC), 1,000,000 microbitcoins (μBTC), or 100,000,000 satoshis.

In 2015, Bitcoin was included under ISO 4217 which does standardization for currencies.

The following naming conventions have been used:

Bitcoins can be split into smaller units to ease and facilitate smaller transactions.

And that the Story of Satoshi, named after that the Creator of Bitcoin
Satoshi Nakamoto
