Status of Women

Islam is a great religion and it treats men and women equally. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammed SAW regarded women as the most precious gift of Allah almighty. Islam gives her strength and appreciated her active participation in every field of life. In other societies women have to suffer for their rights but Islam has given her rights in every field of life without her asking and demanding. 

She is free in political, social, economical, educational and all other spheres of life. She has right to get her share in property and she is free to select her life partner. She can get divorce and seek for dissolution of marriage in certain situations. Islam has raised the status of women and uplifted her to the honourable and respectable position. An adult women has been given sufficient freedom in her personal affairs yet her freedom is restricted weather she is married or unmarried.
