From Balakot to Naran, about 14 km on the left hand side from Paras, while the one and a half hour four-for-four jeep track takes you upstairs, a place where your mind forgets the world and begins to remember God, different sounds of birds and insects. Forget you from the world, only you are left in the jungle, there are 11 beautiful wooden pods set up by the government since 2016, 3 of them are 4 beds with a rent of five thousand and 8 pods with 2 beds. The rent of which is three thousand rupees, besides 8 camps are also set up in which four to six people can come, the rent per camp is one thousand, people also call it Sharan and Sharan.
The forest is mostly made of pine, birch, palm and kale trees. After a two-hour hiking trek from Sharan, you can reach Manshi Top from where you can see the peaks nestled in many clouds. You can also take a half-hour walk to see the beautiful waterfall, as it is a forested area, so try to take a local guide with you.
Six people have been appointed to run the pods and camping system set up by the government, including one camp in-charge Mr. Ghalib Shah Sahib and four security guards besides a sweeper. There is no mobile service in the camping area at all. All you have to do is walk fifteen to twenty minutes to the Qibla for the Telenor signal. The signals come in and you can contact your loved ones. In addition to pods and campuses, a dining hall, kitchen and office camp have been set up. In addition, the administration, with your help, has set aside a camp for the mosque at the very beginning of the camping area. Before that, people use the spring for ablution. There is no electricity in the camping area. However, the solar system is functional and meets the lighting requirements. You can also enjoy self-cooking while staying at the camping site.
If you want to stay in Sharan forest, you must have some essential items with you, map, umbrella, compass, bottle, camera, flashlight, utensils, trekking jogger, charger, medicine, pack bag, personal hygiene items, etc.
Accommodation was not available for occasional tourists before 2016, so they would arrange camping with their help. A research farm of the Department of Agriculture is also set up at some distance from the camping area. From Jeep to Sharan, there is also a youth hostel which was partially affected by the 2005 earthquake and is almost inactive since then. The government needs to pay attention to this, just above the camp area is a wooden building. It was built in 1906 during the British rule. The building was used for forest staff, but before that it looks like a high place where people with chairs "bonfire" at night. And reminiscent of the tranquility of the night, the place where the fire is lit was actually the rest house by the government that was destroyed in the 2005 earthquake and now looks like a ruin. Now people sit and warm the fire on a cold night and count the stars in the sky. By the way, when I reached this place, I saw as many stars as I could see. Has never seen in life.
Very nice article
