My journey towards Crypto

"You are a daydreamer", they said, and I am a daydreamer. There is a saying about daydreaming, it says “Dream your dreams with open eyes and make them come true” said T.E.Lawrence. I don't know who he is, but he said right. One might think I’m justifying myself but … yes I’m. It was 2016 when I step into university for my four-year IT degree. There would be a question and that is: What do you get from this degree? Well, I’ll answer this.

This was the first time I started using the internet for a productive purpose (copy-pasting my assignments…. yes it is productive). And this was the time when I started to search for websites that pay for doing nothing. Day after day, I came to a website (I’m not going to tell the name), a PTC (pay to click) website.

I daily watch ads and they gave me some credit. It was the withdrawal time when I was introduced to a cryptocurrency, now famously known as ‘Bitcoin’ aka BTC. The site was giving withdrawals in BTC. I created a Blockchain wallet and get my withdrawal of BTC into it.

Work from home and getting paid and paying while sitting always fascinated me. I search about crypto and its concept makes my world heaven. Then I started searching platform that gives free crypto (yes I’m a bit lazy or do not want to work type). I came across a web browser with built-in mining (again I’m not going to tell but you got it). I started mining on my laptop and take withdrawal twice or thrice. There was still an issue and that was the BTC fee. Well, it is still an issue.

Then a hero came into my life. That hero’s name is ‘Bitcoin cash’ aka BCH. Why is it a hero? One might ask. It released the burden of a large fee. Yes, it does. Yes, it is a fork of Bitcoin but it is far better than Bitcoin.it has its own Blockchain. Yes, it is independent of BTC or you can say it is standing in front of BTC staring into its eyes.

You may say I’m praising my hero, but it deserves it. Why? Here I go in the fever of my hero again:

BCH has less transfer fee that means making transactions in BCH saves us a lot of money than using BTC.

BCH is faster which means we don’t have to wait long as in Bitcoin transactions.

 Bitcoin Cash can handle more transactions at one time: more people can use the network at the same time.

See? It’s cheap. It is fast and it can entertain more people at once. All these beauties are possible because BCH’s block in Blockchain is eight times bigger than the Bitcoin block. Bitcoin Cash development team is quick to implementing solutions making its Blockchain more scalable.

I’m not against Bitcoin. It is the base currency and everyone knows about it but Bitcoin is older, slower, and costs more fee and… I’m in love with Bitcoin Cash. After understanding its beauty everyone is going to be in love with it. I bet it.

And yes the answer to the question: what IT degree gave me? It introduces me to crypto, especially Bitcoin Cash.
