He had to cross seven seas and thirteen rivers to reach this unique height. Before coming to Bollywood, Amitabh took a job in a shipping company in Kolkata. But due to his inclination towards acting, he left his job and moved to Mumbai. Aspiring to be a Radio Jockey (RJ), he auditioned for All India Radio. But sadly this radio rejects him. All India Radio said that his voice was too heavy and not suitable to be a jockey at all. He left the life of the month of Calcutta and came to Mumbai as if he had fallen into the deep sea. Yet he did not give up. He auditioned for the radio twice more. But both times he was rejected for his heavy and serious voice.

Meanwhile, he continued to try to enter the world of acting. But many directors refused to hire him because of his extra height, hunched body and heavy voice. After many attempts, in 1979, Khwaja Ahmed Abbas gave him a chance to act in the movie 'Sat Hindustani'. For his performance in the first film, he won the Filmfare Best Newcomer Award that year. But he still did not achieve what he really meant by stardom. Although his acting skills later gave him the opportunity to work in several movies, he was not able to take advantage of them. 12/13 consecutive movies failed miserably at the box office. Note that at that time Amitabh had no place to stay in Mumbai. He spent many nights on Marine Drive in Mumbai. In the midst of so many adversities, one failure after another, he never gave up. Finally, in 1973, Amitabh proved himself as a superstar through the movie 'Zanjeer'. Then he did not have to go back. Did anyone think that this skinny thin Hengla boy would one day be world-famous? He overcame all the weaknesses that appeared to be an obstacle in the beginning of his career, such as being too tall, too thin. He proved that if he is steadfast in his goal, he is bound to succeed.

The funny thing is that he was rejected from the radio because of his voice, with that voice he also appeared as a playback singer. She was even nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer. The dialogue of his full voice resonated in the audience and if there is no song of his own voice in the movie yet, the movie will not freeze. He has also made a name for himself as a popular television presenter.

Although he was finally acquitted, he said goodbye to politics forever and returned to the world of acting. But by then the winds of the era had changed. His own age has also increased considerably then. The image of the previous hero is not coming. His movies stumble at the box office again. During this time he started a production company called ABCL. But here too he ultimately failed. He had to face huge financial losses. The burden of huge debts was then on his head. The house was mortgaged to pay off the debt. The bank was declared bankrupt.

He did not give up even though it broke down temporarily. He changed himself to keep pace with the times. In 2000, Amitabh returned to Bollywood in a new way. Then the rest is history.
