If you struggle each day to face life with a positive attitude
then this one simple trick can ease your emotional burden.
This costs you nothing and requires only a few seconds each day.
Evicting FADs from your life.
If you do not have a television then you will need a different solution.
This solution is for people who have a television in their home/room.
No need to worry, however:
another more powerful solution is being prepared
for those of you who need stronger 'medication'.
Step 1: Unplug your television power cable.
(Leaving the antenna plugged in is okay: a different article, later).
Step 2.: Cover the screen
Drape - over the front of the screen -
a towel, cloth or piece of fabric (or paper) that
has no pictures, images of any things, or any text.
[This is extremely important :
- there must be no text to read or depictions to examine.]
Fix it as permanently as possibly.
(You can use tape or glue to ensure it stays in place)
Step 3.: Thank whatever you covered the screen with.
When you awaken each day,
and when you retire to sleep.
stand in front of the cloth.
And say this out loud:
"Thank you for letting me feel better about my life today."
(Do not murmur, mutter, or whisper - use your normal speaking voice.)
Step 4.: Leave the television covered, 24/7
Do not reconnect the television power cable.
Leave it unplugged.
Forever.
