Museums have an important cultural, artistic and historic place among human history. These historical and cultural centers somehow connect us with the past and the future and show us what path man has taken and what historical path he has passed to reach today. Man has learned and memorized many topics in this path through different periods.
In this article, I'm inviting you to visit one of the oldest museums in the world, and by doing so, we are reviewing very beginning of rising of the museums. Known as one of the oldest museums in the world (Ennigaldi-Nanna), it dates back to 530 BC.
Prince Enigaldi, daughter of Nebonidos, the last king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, was the curator of the museum (Ennigaldi-Nanna). The Ennigaldi-Nanna Museum is located near the Iraqi province of Dhi Qar. In fact, when archaeologists excavated parts of the palace and the temple complex, they found that dozens of artifacts of various antiquities were regularly placed next to each other. During the discovery, they discovered that the artifacts were museum pieces.
Archaeologist Leonard Woolley labeled the contents and artifacts of the Ennigaldi-Nanna while excavating. He discovered that many of the artifacts in the museum had been excavated by Nebonidus (the last Chaldean king of Babylon) and that some of them had been discovered by another Babylonian king. Most of these works belong to the Mesopotamia region.
share the beauties. ;)
