Amber Castle is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Jaipur and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In ancient times, castles were built for security purposes or the residence of kings, but today these castles are often used as a symbol for fiction. Although there is lots of beautiful castles around the world, but due to not protecting them, some of them have been destroyed. In this article, I introduce one of the most spectacular castles in the world.
Amber Castle is not only one of the top tourist destinations in Jaipur but in all of India. Amber and Jagar castles have an underground road connects the two castles, a road that seems to have been used as an escape route during the war and enemy attacks.
Amber Castle was once the seat of Prince Jaipur and the residence of the rulers of that land. Maharaja Man Singh I, who led the Mongol emperor's army, began construction in 1592 on the remains of an eleventh-century castle. Many rulers lived in the castle before moving the capital to Jaipur in 1727. The architecture of Amber Fort is a striking combination of Rajput (Hindu) and Mughal (Islamic) styles. Amber Castle is made of sandstone and marble and consists of four courtyards, palaces, halls and gardens.
One of the most popular attractions of Amber Castle is the famous carving of a magic flower on a marble pillar on a six-story pillar. On this marble, 6 beautiful designs have been carved including lotus flower, lion tail, scorpion, cobra, fish tail, corn and elephant snout. To see these designs, you have to cover different parts of this stone by hand. One of the most important attractions of Amber Castle is six Mahal, in all parts of which there are mirror mosaics and colored glass, so that even if a candle is lit, it is reflected in the thousands of mirrors inside. It creates a shape similar to thousands of stars.
The different parts of Amber Castle:
- Public Hall: Maharjas in this part of the palace have talked to different people and solved their problems. The public hall of this palace has many columns that have made it even more beautiful.
- Shila Mata Temple: In this temple, there are very valuable idols that are made of black and silver marble.
