That means, each type of food will provide an opportunity to strengthen your healthy habits.

One of them is by learning to determine portions and choosing types of nutrient dense foods. Every time you make the right food choices, you have to be more assertive to yourself to build good eating habits that will last you a lifetime. “I have given advice to many elderly patients who have bad eating habits and suddenly decide to change their lifestyle to be healthier. This is triggered by increasing age or even health conditions. They also said that it was quite difficult to change the eating habits that had been done decades before, "said Susan. According to a survey entitled "2018 Asia Pacific Healthy Aging Survey" which was conducted in August 2018 which involved approximately 5,500 respondents aged 40 years and over in 11 countries, it was revealed that the majority of respondents in Indonesia (71%) believed that taking steps such as lifestyle changes healthier will help them in dealing with a healthy aging period. In fact, 90% of Indonesian respondents say they are aware of and have taken positive steps in facing aging. It's never too late or too early to pay attention to health by maintaining a diet and starting regular exercise in order to get a healthy aging phase. But if you still feel young, it's a good idea to consider the following things so you can experience healthy aging.

Maintain Bone Health

Healthy and strong bones are built during adolescence due to the body's ability to store calcium in optimal bones around the age of 30. This is a critical period when one should be able to maximize bone density. Some things can be done by consuming calcium in food (about 1,000 mg per day) and regularly training with weights. Both are important for building bone mass, and can be done optimally at a young age. However, that does not mean it cannot be done by people who have entered old age. Lifting weights can help keep your bones strong. Make sure the body is consuming enough calcium every day, it should be noted that the need will increase to around 1200 mg per day after age 50.

Building muscle mass can be done at any age. When you are about to start good habits at a young age, including consuming adequate protein and engaging in resistance training, you are likely to continue these habits throughout your life. To a large extent, lean body mass determines resting metabolic rate. Building muscle mass is one of the best ways you can fight the increase in obesity, which results from increasing fat and body weight as you age. Maintain Healthy Skin
