How can depression be better treated without medication?

1. Cognitive Behavior Therapy

It is a kind of therapy for our brain. It changes the way we think and act on our behavior.

2. Exercise:

Exercise 30 minutes every day for 5 days a week. Such as cycling, jogging, swimming, brisk walking etc.

3. Proper diet:

# Don't eat: Processed foods, refined carbohydrates

# Reduce eating: sugar and caffeine

# Eat: Lots of fruits, vegetables and non-vegetarian food.

Routine: 18: 6 formula (18 hours of drinking only water and the remaining 8 hours of eating)

4. Sleep: If you have depression, you need 8-9 hours of sleep. Try to go to bed before 10 pm.

5. Control your stress:

- Give some work responsibilities to others.

- Reduce work pressure on yourself.

- Work on your relationships.

- Combine expectations and realities.

- Learn to forgive.

. Avoid the company of negative people

Find a friend or sibling or neighbor who is not judgmental or who will easily judge you or make you feel bad. If you do not find such a person, go to a trusted counselor.

. Try to reach people

Do something very simple, feed 2 poor people every day and take good care of them. Do this for 1 month.

. Find a purpose in life:

Find your passion / favorite place and skills. If you can't find it yourself, get help from a parent, friend, teacher or someone close to you. If no one can help, find your passion / favorite place and skills with the help of your counselor.

If you do these things for 1 month, then most of the mild to moderate depression will go away or go away.

However, it is best to consult a psychiatrist for severe depression
