Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 8) - The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1983 has put up a ₱1-million reward for anyone who can give information leading to the arrest of the suspect behind the murder of former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board secretary Wesley Barayuga.
“The information given that leads to the determination of the identity and apprehension of any person or persons will be given the reward no later than one month after his/their arrest," read the statement. "All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received in person.”
It added, “Any person having any information related to the crime is requested to call the PMA Matikas Class of 1983 at telephone numbers 0921-6540715 (Smart) or 0967-3155108.”
The PMA “Matikas Class” said it offered the reward money after the case has “gone cold” despite efforts from the special investigation task force by the Philippine National Police Eastern Police District and National Bureau of Investigation.
Barayuga is an alumnus of the said PMA Class '83 and was also a former deputy director of the Directorate for Logistics at PNP. He was appointed to his post at PCSO in 2018.
