Story of king and poor man emotions
"It is said that during the reign of Mahmud Ghaznavi, a person's temperament became unbalanced, and he went to a doctor and said, 'Make me a medicine.' The doctor said, 'Everything is available for the medicine except honey. If you bring honey, I will prepare the medicine.' Unfortunately, it was not the season for honey. The person took a small box and went to the doors of the people, but he was disappointed everywhere. When the problem was not solved, he presented himself in the court of Mahmud Ghaznavi. They say that Ayaz opened the door and heard the story of the person who was seeking help. He gave him a small box and said, 'I need honey in it.' Ayaz said, 'You wait, I will ask the king and tell you.' Ayaz took the box and presented it to the king, saying, 'Your Majesty, a supplicant needs honey.' The king took the box and put it aside, telling Ayaz to give three large boxes of honey to the person. Ayaz said, 'Your Majesty, he only needs a little.' The king said, 'Ayaz, he is a poor man and has asked according to his status. We are the king and will give according to our status.' Maulana Rumi says, 'Ask Allah according to your status, and He will give according to His status. The condition is that you ask rightly.'
