Why do people lie?
We have different reasons why we are lying. Sometimes we don't want to lie but the situation forces us to do so. Well, it is normal for us people to lie but the thing is you need to be in control. Trust will start to vanish if lying becomes your habit. Don't forget that there's always a limitation in every situation. Don't push too hard. Sometimes it's better to keep things the way they should be. If it's going to cost you so much pain then let it be. Your wound will heal when the right time comes.
So, what are the reason why most of us tell a lie?
Sometimes we lie to protect someone we loved.
Sometimes it is better to lie than to hurt someone's feelings. We are just trying to protect them from getting hurt and this is what we also called white lies.
We lied to avoid punishment. Who would like to be punished? No one, right? So we lied to be safe.
We lied to survive the world we are trying to fit in.
We lie to be accepted by society. Making friends is not so easy especially when you are not so versatile.
To obtain something like a reward or a prize. There are a lot of people who are willing to do anything just to get a reward especially when it comes to financial matters.
We lied to hide a secret. Cheaters know how to make any excuses. They tend to lie just to make their emotions look genuine.
Lies cover-up embarrassment. We lie to prevent ourselves from awkward situations and defend ourselves from others' criticism.
Others lie because they find it interesting and fun.
Lying is terrible but people get used to it because of their environment. But there's one thing you should be worried about when you are lying- trust issue. The trust issue is a big deal when you are caught up. So you have to be careful to avoid that circumstance or better to explain yourself before making lies. Don't lie because you just want to. Be responsible for your actions. Don't take your lies as a joke. It was crucial when it comes to a relationship. You can lie a hundred times but you can't bring back everything you've said and done. And trust is the most precious thing you can lose once you lied. Don't get too delusional, lived for what you are. Stop making a story that will only cause you trouble for a lifetime. Be honest and be true to yourself, that's the only way you can live peacefully.
