When I started dating my husband I know he has a daughter. He had her with his ex. At first, it gives me a hard time if I should continue to go out with him.

But when I saw his beautiful daughter playing alone on the corner of their house I feel like I want to be her playmates. I don't know where that feeling came from but all I know is I feel like I want to be with her at that time.

After a month of seeing each other, I found out I was having a baby. We are both in shock because it's not part of our plans.

I decided to move to their house and lived with his parents and with his daughter. At first, I don't know what to do about this kind of thing. His parents told me that I got a package deal. I need to accept the fact that he has his first daughter.

As the day passes by, I learn how our relationship works together. I learn how to do things I'm not used to be before. I learn how to accept and love her as my daughter. I learn how to be a good role model as a woman and a mother.

I know I'm not her biological mother but we are connected by the heart. Our skin is different. Our eyes and face have a different shape. Our blood does not match. But I want her to be mine.

She helped me clean out the room, she always asks me what is my favorite stuff. She always tells me a story. Give me a letter when it's my birthday.

I know I can't take the place of her biological mother in her life but I want her to stay with us forever. I know it's a kinda selfish idea but I am just confessing the truth. I am so lucky to have her. Even though we are not on good terms sometimes. I am proud to be her stepmom. I am proud every time I looked into her artworks. At the age of 5, she tries to draw and until now she's trying to do her best. She is turning this November.

I can't believe that I have these wonderful things in my life. And all thanks and glory to God. I am so blessed to have her.
