Let's talk about personal hygiene this time. Are you taking care of yourself properly? Do you practice personal hygiene wherever you are? Or just when you go out?

There are many changes in our body when we already in the stage of a teenager and until we grew up. We have to take care of ourselves from that time. Our mom and dad will no longer eligible to do that but they can help us to maintain our hygiene by reminding us from time to time.

Personal hygiene

It defines as an act of how you take good care of yourself to keep your body healthy, neat, and clean. Keeping your body inside and outside appearance to improve and maintain its cleanliness.

  • Keeping your hands clean by washing with soap and clean water.

  • Washing your hair regularly to make it clean and prevent dandruff and hair fall.

  • Brushing your teeth 2-3 times a day to avoid tooth decay and bad breath. And visit your dentist regularly.

  • Taking a bath regularly to prevent body odor.

  • Cutting your nails, cleaning your ears and nose.

  • Wear some comfortable and clean clothes.

  • Get enough sleep and take a rest to keep your mind and body healthy. This will helps you to look fresh and young.

  • Keep your private parts neat and clean.

  • Take care of your armpit and avoid eating foods and drinks that can affect body odor like garlic, onions, asparagus, seafood, and alcohol.

  • Use alcohol or hand sanitizer when you are going outside. This will help you fight against bacteria.

  • Cover your mouth when you are sneezing or coughing to prevent the virus from spreading. Better to wear a facemask when going outside.

It is important to teach your child to practice personal hygiene so when you don't have enough time for them they can manage to do it by themselves. Having good personal hygiene can help anyone to boost their self-esteem and confidence. It can benefit your health and even the people around you. It can decrease the possibility of getting the disease and any kinds of illness. It takes time and effort to maintain good hygiene but we are the ones who benefit from it the most. Make a daily routine to maintain your hygiene. Avoid doing things and habits that can affect your hygiene like smoking, drinking alcohol, and eating unhealthy foods.

People with poor hygiene also have a poor social life and less likely to show off and communicate. It affects their daily life and less often to hang out with friends because they afraid of getting bullied and insulted. It can reduce one's motivation and create self-doubt. Those are some of the reasons why we need to promote and maintain good personal hygiene.
