December 30 is a regular holiday in the Philippines. It is a commemoration of the death of Dr. Jose P. Rizal known as the national hero of the said country. Rizal Day was first declared and instituted by President Emilio Aguinaldo on December 20, 1898, and celebrated on December 30 as grieving for Rizal and all victims of the Spanish colonial constitution in the Philippines. Rizal was known for his writings as his way to fight for freedom instead of using force and weapons. He gave up his life for the freedom of many Filipinos who are suffering from the Spanish conquest.

December 30 is also celebrated as National Bacon Day!

Who was a bacon lover here?

As far as I know, most of us love bacon. Especially nowadays, Korean was made Filipinos love their samgyupsal which commonly serve with pork belly(bacon cut). Well, who doesn't love the meat candy? I can still smell and taste the bacon I ate last day.

The National Bacon Day was invented in 1997 by Danya “D” Goodman and Meff Leonard to gather people together. Bacon Day is the best day ever even though you can eat bacon anytime you want. The best way to celebrate bacon day is to serve and eat bacon and you can also send a bacon gift or any food with bacon such as pizza bacon or a sandwich with bacon to your friends and family.

"Everything goes better with bacon"

Enjoy the upcoming holidays!
