Most people are afraid to love
If you are a social person, if you have a tendency to share your thoughts and feelings with the society, you will constantly receive warnings even from your close circle. As far as they are concerned, you should live "in peace".
Our acquaintances must have witnessed that in the conjuncture we live in, fear affects people so that they cannot be who they should be, which reminded me of an Indian fairy tale I was impressed by. So I thought I would share it with you. According to an Indian fable;
There is a mouse who lives in fear of cats.
A wizard takes pity on the mouse and turns it into a cat.
Instead of being extremely happy to be a cat, the mouse starts to fear the dog.
This time the wizard turns him into a tiger.
Instead of being happy to be a tiger, the mouse becomes afraid of the hunter.
The sorcerer realizes that no matter what he does, there is no way to overcome the mouse's fear.
And he says:
-You are a coward without courage. You have only the heart of a mouse. So I cannot help you.
To reinforce the point, I should add the following lines from Shakespeare:
"Most people are afraid to love, for fear of losing.
Afraid to think, for fear of responsibility.
Afraid to speak, for fear of criticism.
Afraid of getting old, because they don't appreciate youth.
He is afraid of being forgotten, because he has not given anything good to the world.
And he is afraid to die, because he does not know how to live."
The above meaningful Indian fairy tale and Shekespear's words should really be an earring in the ears of the so-called individuals who have been and will be referred to with various adjectives such as having no identity, no personality, no virtue, "yes sir", changing color according to every period, accepting servitude because of money, insensitive to injustice, and what-if.
A human being is a human being as long as he/she can live with human virtues.
Such people, who will leave this world without being able to give anything to their family, their environment, their country and the world because of their fears, should not even be afraid.
Because fear is useless.
