People who care for People
As of 5 November 2014, the work of people caring for the elderly or disabled is recognized. Today is the international day of caregivers. So I dedicate today's post to this group of professionals or family members who, without any previous knowledge, carry out such praiseworthy work. Many people carry out this type of work, caring for other people either because of old age, illness, or disability. There are two types of carers, the professional carer and the carer who takes care of a relative.
The professional caregiver has no family ties with the patient, performs home care and receives a monetary payment for his or her services. A professional caregiver is a professional who is trained to care for people, who must have previous knowledge and experience in caring for people with dependency conditions.
I have friends who are not professionals in the field, i.e. they are not graduates of an educational institution where they will study to be accredited as a professional caregiver. However, they carry out their work with a lot of love and dedication.
My friend Olimar, a young Venezuelan woman with a degree in education, left the country in search of economic improvements. She spent a year in Peru, a few months in Chile and has now been in Argentina for more than two years. She is dedicated to caring for children with disabilities full time, as she lives in the same house where her patient lives.
My friend Naury, another education professional who stayed in Venezuela but is now dedicated to caring for the elderly, spent more than a year caring for an elderly woman full time, and went to live in the same house as her to care for her full time until she passed away at the age of 99. Naury cared for her mother for a while before she died of breast cancer. She now cares for her younger brother who is mentally retarded. Naury is a woman with a great heart.
I also fondly remember Mrs. Julia, who took care of my father in the last years of his life. A great woman, big-hearted, very helpful. We also have the other type of caregiver, who takes care of a sick or elderly relative without receiving monetary payment, because they do it out of love. She remains indefinitely in the job of family caregiver, as in the case of my friend Naury who took care of her mother and now takes care of her brother.
With special affection I acknowledge the work done by Mrs. Mercedes, a woman dedicated to the care of her very elderly mother, who suffered for many years from Alzheimer's disease. Her mother fell ill with covid19 and died, and after a month she too succumbed to the deadly virus.
My mother's last months and especially her last days were for my two siblings, Pedro and Gertudis, a time of special care for her. My two siblings were caregivers with a heart that was completely devoted to the care of my mother.
Today I dedicate this article to them, for having such a great heart, for doing the work of caring for people, whether paid or unpaid, of giving the support required to care for another person who needs it to improve their quality of life. God bless you for your great work.
I am reminded of a film I saw months ago. It is called "Before I Stood", directed by Thea Sharrock. A film that teaches us a true lesson of life, of a young caregiver of a quadriplegic man. A very beautiful film that reflects the labour of a person who takes care of another person. I recommend it to you.
Happy International Day of Carers, God bless you!

The Time to Mourn a Breakup.
When we decide to end a relationship, it is a hard thing to do. It is difficult to break up a relationship for years. Personally, I lived in a 22-year marriage that I could not maintain because of multiple disagreements between the two of us until I reached my breaking point. After a long time, after many situations of violence and psychological abuse, I decided to continue on my own. It was a difficult but good decision.
More than 12 years have passed since that personal decision, I live my life in peace, I still don't have a new partner, because God's timing is perfect and that person will come if they have to, and if they don't, I don't need them to have peace in my heart. Starting again, from scratch, was difficult for me because I left behind many material things, my house, my furniture, and everything that a home can have, everything I left behind, and I started a new life in another place, in Barinas. All the material things that came back into my life were acquired through my own efforts, working and undertaking new projects. Now I live quietly and peacefully. I am happy, thank God.
Let's talk a little about how to overcome grief after a break-up. I went through it and I got over it. Getting over a break-up and a disaffection with the person we love is difficult. The emotional torrent that you experience in the first few months is as if the world is coming to an end, it is something similar to the loss of a loved one.
It is not easy to accept that everything has come to an end. That the other person will rebuild their life and that everything they have experienced will never come back. All this flood of emotions hurts a lot, it can even be a more intense pain than the physical pain. Some people get stuck in this pain as if it were a drug. According to studies, love and drugs use the same neural circuits. For this reason, it is recommended not to have any contact for a while with the ex-partner in order not to relapse because there are emotional ups and downs, as happens when using a drug. Not seeing the ex-partner in the first months after the break-up is the most advisable thing to do.
It is also advisable to break up with memories, with objects that were given as gifts, details, or photos. The neural circuits become weaker and the levels of neurochemicals such as sidopamine and serotonin drop, they stabilize. As long as you do not have those memories that anchor you to the past and to emotional pain, the body and mind adapt to the change and make it possible to return to normality in a shorter time.
The time it takes for each person to get over the grief depends on many factors, for example: the person who leaves home gets over the grief more quickly, the time the relationship lasted is another factor, the more years of union there were in the couple, the longer the healing time will be. A short relationship is not the same as one that lasted for years, although here the intensity of love plays an important role, the one who gave the most and loved the most is the one who suffers the most.
When a relationship breaks up, it goes through different stages, the first stage or phase being one denial and isolation. The hurt person denies the break-up and pretends that everything is the same, does not accept or does not approve of the other person's distance. The impact of the break-up is so great that it is difficult to assimilate. This stage is generally brief. Entering the second phase.
Once the wounded person becomes aware of his new reality he feels a lot of anger. They feel very strong anger towards the person who has left them, they feel frustrated about what happened and blame the ex-partner for the situation they are going through. Sometimes when anger is very strong, revenge can appear.
You have to have a lot of control over your emotions in this phase. It is a phase of feelings, anger, frustration and revenge, as you can see it is not an easy phase for the injured person.
Then we enter an equally dangerous phase if not handled well. We enter into negotiation, we try to talk and recover the relationship. If no rapprochement is achieved after several attempts to save the relationship, another phase begins. Depression begins to do its work. The person loses hope of recovering the relationship. It all depends on the willingness of the person who has been hurt not to remain in this depressive stage for too long. They must become aware of their emotional state and start to be more objective and see the reality in which they live, that there is no turning back. He must put a lot of effort and self-control to get out of this depressive state.
When she realizes that she has to get out of the depressive state she enters the last phase. The acceptance that the relationship is over, that it has ended, that there is no turning back. It is at this stage of acceptance that the person begins to visualize a new future. They no longer look for their ex-partner, they feel calm, at peace and most importantly, they feel emotionally ready to start a new relationship, if they so wish.
It is all a matter of time. They say that time heals everything, and where it applies. According to studies on healing time, it takes about three months to start being positive about the new stage, to really feel ready for life, although some people take a little longer, between six months to a year, it is not scientifically proven how much time is required to heal. This time is personal, i.e. the healing time is set by the wounded person. It all depends on the person's willingness to heal.
In the end, the important thing is to get out of grief in the shortest possible time, to remember that you have your value as a person, that you are worthy of love, and that you will find it in time. The length of that time is up to you, three months, six months, or a year, that time is up to you.
Have you gone through a break-up, how long does it take you to heal and move on?
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

What is your child's handwriting like?
In my country, face-to-face classes have started at all levels of education. Since the pandemic, my 7-year-old granddaughter had not attended classes. She attended first grade, guided by her whatsapp teacher. Yesterday she excitedly attended her first day of school, her second grade year.
The classroom was divided into two groups of students. From next week she will have to attend class only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is not total normality, it is partial, but it was necessary for the start of classes to happen, to start with something, so to speak. From home, the girl's parents have had to teach their daughter in many activities. She already reads very well, quite fluently, although she still needs to respect the pauses in punctuation marks. But what she is still struggling with, and where she has had the most problems, is writing. Her handwriting is too big.
Writing is not easy, it requires a series of processes. The child first has to acquire phonological awareness, which involves attention and memory to transcribe the sound of the letters into the corresponding symbols. Once the child has acquired this phonological awareness, he or she has to coordinate visually in order to write the letters on paper, that is to say, there has to be coordination between the eye and the hand in order to write legibly.
Having good handwriting takes time, and parents should always help and support the child at home so that he/she acquires good writing habits. The child needs to achieve the degree of psychomotor development from the pre-school stage, but as we are confined at home because of the pandemic, parents should be aware at the home of the importance of performing certain exercises for the child's psychomotor development. Exercises such as tracing on paper to cut out straight lines, curves, circles, and other geometric shapes help a lot, tearing paper without using scissors is another good fine motor skills exercise, as is playing with plasticine. These exercises promote psychomotor skills in children and good handwriting in the future, as they allow them to trace letters with precision and strength.
Just as when they are small children are unable to eat their mashed potatoes with a spoon and little by little with practice they manage to do so, so it is the same with writing. It is all a matter of practice. The child has to develop graphic skills. They have to practice a lot. Calligraphy exercises are an activity that helps to shape the handwriting for good handwriting. It is very important that calligraphy exercises are carried out in a pleasant environment, free of all distractions, so that the child can achieve the necessary concentration in the tracing of each letter, he or she should be well seated with the chair correctly placed in front of the table, hold the pencil well with the fingers and not lean over the notebook. Good posture is essential to ensure that the handwriting is legible.
When the handwriting is not legible, the child has difficulty in writing on the paper, writes irregularly, is illegible, and loses the meaning of what he or she wants to transmit. By observing this, parents should detect a possible difficulty in writing. Dysgraphia shows alterations in all the aspects mentioned above, except in meaning, as the child knows what he or she wants to write but his or her writing is poor and difficult. From 6 or 7 years of age onwards, we can speak of a difficulty in writing when they present writing with the aspects already mentioned.
It is important for parents to know that dysgraphia is a specific difficulty in expressing through writing the correct form of letters, that they are legible and in the correct position on the paper. It can occur in children with normal intellectual abilities, without neurological or affective disorders. It is a great commitment of parents to be aware of their children's handwriting, especially at an early age, in order to start early and appropriate treatment. Early support helps to prevent future problems such as self-esteem, frustration, and rejection of schoolwork.
Parents should keep an eye on their children's school notebooks to observe aspects that might indicate any difficulties in writing. As a guideline, here are some aspects to observe in your child's handwriting: Size of the letter, it should not be excessively large or small. The layout, observe if it is too strong that it is noticeable when you pass your hand over the next page (back of the page) or too soft that it is almost impossible to read. Links between letters: unjoined letters or incorrect joins. Inappropriate spacing between letters or words. Difficulty in keeping writing straight on the line drawn in the notebook, distortion in shape and size of letters in words or sentences. Final writing Illegible. Very often do not finish what they copy or take too long to copy.
If in spite of trying to improve their handwriting by constant practice of handwriting exercises, the poor handwriting is still persistent over time, I can tell you that we may be observing at home aspects of possible dysgraphia in the child. I suggest that parents ask for support from the school's educational psychologist. The specialist will make the required diagnosis to determine if there is some kind of problem. Remember that early intervention is important to avoid possible learning difficulties. The specialist will make a plan of activities to do at home.
Do not neglect this important aspect of a child's psychomotor development. Early prevention is essential.
Now as a guide, I invite you to look at your child's notebooks and ask yourself:
What is your child's handwriting like... is it legible?

Ahora a nivel personal también he tenido tristezas.

My Pacemaker and I Made a Record.
Elizabeth has been very active since she was young, always taking advantage of any free space to ride a bike. But what Elizabeth likes most is running. At work, she keeps an eye on the sports days that are held to celebrate the company's anniversary. She has been taking part in marathons with her colleagues for a long time. And last year was no exception. Even in the pandemic season, the company only held the marathon, because it was in an open space, and she took part.
On the day of the marathon, together with several co-workers, she went out running with the optimistic mind that she would lower her own personal best in the competition that day. It wasn't a few minutes into the run when dizziness was the warning sign. This symptom started to manifest itself in the following days at work. He had to go to the cardiologist and after the consultation, he was fitted with a Holter monitor and it was there that he became aware of what was going on.
In the 24 hours she had the Holter on her arm, it gave her an alarming reading. Her heart had stopped 55 times, 5 seconds for each stop. In the doctor's office, as if he was being talked to senselessly, he heard the cardiologist's voice telling her about the urgent intervention to place a pacemaker. She couldn't believe it! It took her a few minutes to react. She just thought at that moment that she had always been a healthy woman, because of her sporty lifestyle, she didn't drink, she didn't smoke, and she always tried to eat healthily and of course did a lot of physical exercises. Surely it was a mistake.
The cardiologist replied that it was not a mistake, that there was no mistake. And on that day she thought her life was going to change completely. She just said: "I just became a sick person". Knowing that she was no longer going to enjoy a normal life and above all doing sports, cycling, running, that fact became at that moment one of her biggest worries.
The following week the pacemaker was implanted. Everything went well, without complications, but now she faced in her mind and heart a great sadness and disappointment in life. Still recovering in the hospital, her cardiologist came to check up on her and confirm the success of a very delicate operation. "Doctor, I'm so passionate about my sporting life, cycling, running, and I'll never be able to do it again" and she began to cry. Then she received an answer that changed everything, an answer that once again enlightened her face... "Who told you that you can't do sports, your heart has a pacemaker, but you are not ill"...
From that day on, with the Doctor's words, she completely changed her way of facing her new reality.
From that day on, Elizabeth made up her mind to follow the routine in the best possible way. If everything went well, she would soon be running again. And with that in mind, she focused all her strength. After a few weeks at home, she gradually started training again. At first only mentally. And in less than a month she was back on the streets. "I put on my trainers again and slowly, to test myself, I ran for 10 minutes very slowly". Just two months later she was in a marathon and arrived at the finish line with her colleagues holding hands, she didn't achieve her physical best, but she did break the mental record: "that day, my pacemaker and I made an important record, we overcame the physical and especially the mental barriers".
This story is based on a real event, all the events and outcomes are taken from a real event, only the name of the protagonist and the environment where the events took place has been changed.
Wearing a cardiac device is for every person something shocking, we all would like to be completely healthy. But what to do when the reality is like this? We must go on, because life goes on. If you have survived open heart surgery and are still breathing, then God is giving you your second chance. With the help and guidance of your doctor, family, friends, and above all with your faith in God, you get over it, recover from the operation and go on, because life is beautiful. It is advisable to lead a healthy and active life, exercise, and play sports with a pacemaker is possible. The cardiologist will help you by recommending an exercise program, adapted to the needs and capabilities of the person who has an implanted cardiac device. He will assess your physical capabilities, but what about mental capabilities, it all depends on you, to what extent you are captive of your mind.
It all depends on you if your thoughts do not let you free your life, years go by and you are still under the mental scheme that "you are sick and you can't do it", then let me tell you that you must get out of that mental yoke that enslaves you, that robs you of your life. There is a biblical passage that comes to mind, in John 10:10 "the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" Don't let your thoughts steal your dreams, kill your will to live and destroy your life.
Consult your doctor if you have an implanted cardiac device, and start on the road to an abundant, truly FULL life. Anything is possible, You can do it.
I would like to know your opinion on today's topic.
Do you have a family member with an implanted cardiac device?
Can you tell me, how do they live their life?
Thanks to the readers who follow me and to my sponsors who are always consistent with me, all of you and your articles are the best.

How often do you Upload Selfies?
The behaviour of human beings always has a meaning at a psychological level, which allows us to discover the reason for certain behaviours that are repeated in our daily routine. What drives us to repeat behaviours? We have routines that we think are unimportant, but at the subconscious level, without realising it, we bring out the essence of how we are in some aspects of our lives.
Many years before the pandemic we are already interacting with people through social networks. Without knowing a person personally, we add them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. And we only have that person's photos that we see in their posts. The photos or motivational images we post on social networks tell us much more than we imagine. Through the photos we post on social networks we are giving a message to other people that we don't even know ourselves. Do you want to know what messages you transmit to the world with your photos and images?, I think this is a very interesting topic to develop in today's article.
There are people who constantly upload photos of themselves, selfies have been very popular in recent years. But as a very popular saying in my country goes "everything in excess is bad", but what is "bad" about uploading photos, there is nothing wrong with doing that, but what is the meaning of constantly repeating this behaviour? In people who can't stop repeating this behaviour, who are constantly uploading selfies all day long, it can be an indicator of emotional problems, it is an obsessive behaviour called ***selfitis***.
As referred to above, the subject is very interesting and worth investigating, according to the American Psychiatric Association, selfies can become a mental disorder. People suffering from ***selfitis*** have an obsessive compulsive desire to take pictures of themselves and post them on social media, as a lack of self-esteem and a desire to fill a void in intimacy.
As far as I have been able to research ***selfitis*** has three levels of disorder. ***Selfitis*** borderline, when the person takes at least three selfies a day, but does not upload them to social media, but keeps them on their mobile phone without posting them. Then we have the level of acute ***selfitis***, when they take three selfies a day and post each of them on social media, but do not leave them only on their mobile phone. Finally, we have chronic ***selfitis***, when the person reaches a level of uncontrollable impulse to take selfies all the time, every moment, and uploads them to social media more than six times a day, every day. As far as I could research there is no cure for this illness (obsessive-compulsive disorder) ***seltifis***, the treatment is temporary with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
As I said before, everything in excess is bad, and this applies to all acts in life. The obsession with posting selfies becomes a mania that could cover up insecurities and low self-esteem, it is a matter of doing a self-analysis, and identifying the number of times you post selfies and start taking action.
Likewise, what do the images with motivational phrases that we choose to post on social networks indicate? I just want to point out that from a psychological point of view, a photo or image can say much more than just being a photo or image. By posting motivational phrases, we are performing an act of self-programming. There is a saying: "tell me what you post and I'll tell you what you lack", and it applies here. People are inspired to post and evidence a lack of that motivation they post on social media.
To conclude, if you are one of those people who are interested in uploading your selfies to the web, post interesting photos, not just of yourself "posing", but natural photos, photos that reflect your hobbies, your creativity, your family environment. Doing it in a natural way, without posing, in a subtle way, makes the photos more interesting and reflects in this way that you are a self-confident person, confirming a successful personal and professional development.
Now I am waiting for your comments, are you creative in posting your photos on social media? how many times a day do you post your selfies?
Thank you for joining me here, I would like to take a picture with all of you.
Please, a selfie, everyone say: read.cash!
Thanks to my followers and sponsors for smiling with me, for continuing to read my posts, you guys rock.

Tres Regalos Incalculables.

Hello, What is your Name?
We all know our name, where we live, where we work, we know our relatives, our environment, but do you really know yourself?
Social confinement made us change the whole scheme we had for our work, family, and environment routine. Now we do everything at home. When we realize that something or everything affects us, we are living a moment to reflect and think about how we feel, how we are, how we relate, what situations affect us, how we feel about the things that happen around us.
Do you really know yourself? do you know your name? but what else do you know about yourself? have you thought introspectively about what you don't like about yourself? have you thought about what doesn't make you happy?
Sometimes we think that certain situations are unimportant, but if they do affect us in some way, over time we may become accustomed to that situation. You would like to feel better but you don't know what affects you and how to improve to feel better.
I've heard some content where there are challenging questions. These are posts on a variety of topics where some bloggers make their posts trying to randomly answer some of these questions. So reflecting on what I have read, I thought that it is a good strategy to ask several questions to get to know oneself. It's not a challenge per se, I just used the idea and transformed it into a strategy to get to know myself.
It is a strategy to get to know yourself and help your personal development, I try or at least I make the attempt.
**1.- Are you clear about your goals in your life?**
You have defined what you want and what you don't want, and you work according to those goals. It is important to be clear about what you want in life, or are you one of those people who say that the way life is presented to you is the way you live it.
**2.- Do you have a role model to follow?**
Many times our parents, with the values they inculcated in their children, their example of hard work and honesty, leave their mark on their children. They become examples of a model of a person worthy of following.
**3.- Do you enjoy the things you do?**
Many times we carry out activities or live life doing things that do not make us happy and for that reason, we do not enjoy it. Accept with enthusiasm the things you do in life or change them. But if you can't change them, change your attitude towards them.
**4.-Do you feel that you need something more in life that you don't have yet?**
If you really have that need in your life, then pursuing it is your new goal in life. Work on that, on reaching and filling that void in that need.
**5.-Are you one of those people who go through life trying to please others?**
If your answer is yes, you should focus on yourself, change the way you act towards others. Worry about you, what you are and how you are. Focusing on you allows you to move forward.
**6.-Do what you say?**
Sometimes we say things that we do not reflect in our attitude towards life. We say, for example, that we are optimistic and we reflect an attitude of pessimism. I once asked a friend how he was feeling, by way of greeting, and he replied that he was doing very well, how much better than that, but he was walking with his eyes on the ground, his shoulders slumped, his feet shuffling. His body language showed that he did not do what he said.
**7.-Do you experience in action what you know in practice?**
We know about objectives and purpose, we know how to set goals and actions to follow, about forgiving in order to move forward. But do you actually put all this knowledge into practice to achieve happiness or does it all remain knowledge and you have never experienced it in action, in your daily life?
**8.- What are you afraid of?**
Many people are afraid of failure and this fear paralyzes the person, paralyzes them, takes away the option to experiment, takes away the opportunity to make mistakes or to move forward. Fear does not allow you to improve in life.
**9.- Do you anticipate the future in your thoughts?**
Are you one of those people who do not enjoy the present because you are thinking about the future of facts or events that have not yet happened? You are one of those people who, through your imagination, feel pain, bitterness, sadness for events that have not happened but which you believe may happen. Let me tell you that you are alive here and now. Your imagination robs you of your present. Change, live your present without imagining your future, and if it is sadness, even less so.
**10.- You do know that the pandemia and confinement will end, don't you?**
live each day as a learning experience, be it positive or negative. The beauty of life is that each day has its own zeal. Live the present as it comes to you.
I hope this strategy for getting to know more about you by answering the questions will be of personal benefit. Investing time and effort in getting to know who you are as a person will give you great benefits. Learning to value yourself as a person, transforming your relationship with yourself, being in control of your thoughts in a positive way, accepting and loving yourself as you are, feeling free, living in the present, being positive, and transmitting this positivism in your environment will make you put into practice all your knowledge about how to achieve peace, happiness and living in the present in harmony with your environment. Being happy in the present is worthwhile, despite all the circumstances that surround us. The decision to know and improve aspects of yourself depends only on you: Do you know yourself? who you really are? how are you living your life in the present? what do you need to live in peace and harmony in the present? why are you suffering? etc. If these questions make you feel uncomfortable, think about how you can change them. Be happy.

Love Connected in Social Networks.
I have dealt in some content with the topic of couple relationships. Talking about love in couples is a very broad topic. It involves many factors where emotions, feelings, maturity, trust, and even risk come into play. If it is a long-distance love through social networks, the risk is even greater.
The solidity of love in the relationship does not depend on age, because age does not refer to the maturity that a person has, they are two different aspects. Love between young people is a fiery and passionate love, that is, age is also an important factor to take into account between people who fall in love. Two young people with maturity and mutual commitment can maintain a solid couple relationship for more years in comparison to the love between two older adults who do not assume with responsibility a couple commitment.
Now if we talk about love between adults with the responsibility to assume a couple commitment, we would not necessarily be talking about elderly people, because remember that age is not an influential factor, but the maturity as they face the relationship. I am referring in this content to a mature love after 45 years old. Where a person, whether male or female, after having closed a chapter in their life of a first marriage decide to give themselves a new opportunity to live as a couple in a new relationship.
That romantic love after 45 is a more calm, serene and reflective love. The expression of love changes as the years go by.
Remember that maturity makes the expression of that love to be taken in that way, it is no longer as fiery and passionate as in youth. At the beginning of the relationship, it is more reflexive. Love at that mature age arises from the friendship and affinity between two adults, where circumstances, interests, and concerns are shared.
Now, what happens with that love that connects in the distance through social networks. We are talking about a new reality of love in social networks. It is impossible to ignore this new reality in the "online" generation where the search for "true" love has boomed in Internet groups, especially in the last two years with the covid19 pandemic. Health and social confinement have changed the lifestyle of people around the world and also changed the way to connect with "true" love.
The search for a long-distance love through social networks is an arduous and difficult process, I mean exactly crossing paths with that person and discovering the other being who is thousands of miles away. To find the right person who connects and that we could love in the near future is something difficult but not impossible. It is a new experience where you have to dare and trust in yourself and in the other person who made that first contact. Both people must be clear about the risk that exists when looking for that friendship that begins and that with time can turn into love. It is at this point where the risk is, because there have been cases of fraud and other interests that have nothing to do with love and feelings, much less with that true and pure love that you are trying to find.
Once you have started that friendship in the distance that gives you confidence and that drives you to dare, that makes you reflect that you want to re-experience a beautiful love, where you challenge the geographical distances that separate you, where you expose your feelings openly without prejudice, and above all you assume that there is a risk of a possible failure by basing the entire relationship on the only connection through social networks, you can after all, dare to live that adventure. If you overcome all those barriers it is worth having that love. But always keep in consideration that it could be a suffering love, because of the geographical barrier that separates you.
"Tell me about a love that does not drown in sorrows, that does not decay, that does not die. Speak to me of a love that does not wither with time. In the end it dried my tears and I say to myself: love without pain does not exist", This beautiful poem is not mine, I came across it some time ago and I was captivated by the emotional charge that its lyrics contemplate and today I share it because I think it could summarize what a love in the distance is. It is suffered. To assume the geographical distance is a great challenge between two people who decide to start a friendship and then let the feelings flow to accept with maturity and responsibility that a love arose..... The same distance can cause suffering and impotence ... this is where maturity comes in and says quietly in your ear: remember that "love without pain does not exist" Go ahead!
In times of pandemic, in the distance, through social networking groups, a true love can arise, like the one you are looking for, a love that drives you to start a new adventure in life, where even in the distance you feel the closeness. Where the two loved ones are filled with illusion and desire to move forward, overcoming barriers, fighting, enjoying at the same time that distant love and if all goes well someday they can see each other face to face without any technology between the two. It is worth a love like this, because it is proven that mature love fills couples with life, a longer and fuller life. In the end, if it is true love, Love Triumphs!
The love that connects through social networks, is it a true love?
Do you have the maturity to face with responsibility that love that is born in social networks?

Me gustaría saber tu experiencia.

Release the Armor of your Heart, Forgive.
Changing your lifestyle after a break-up is not easy. Especially if the break-up in the relationship has been a conflictual one. One or both parties involved suffer and are scarred with deep wounds that prevent them from moving towards a happy lifestyle. Towards a new beginning.
In a marital breakup, where the offence and unfair treatment with violent events predominate, we can only expect to find deep traces of suffering and pain. In such a break-up under these conditions, only a strong emotional charge of anger, hostility and rage dominates the couple, or at least one of them. This resentment towards the other person gradually grows and over time they are unable to forgive the offences and mistreatment. The resentment is motivated by a negative feeling that could not be resolved over time after the break-up. They feel betrayed, mistreated, for something they feel they did not deserve, that was unfair. If this resentment does not heal over time, it becomes a shell in the heart. It is like a snowball that grows over time and destroys everything in its path. And it prevents you from being happy.
That shell that we put on our hearts, that makes us distance ourselves from reality, from the pain we have suffered, prevents us from closing cycles, keeps us stuck in a past full of grudges, and gradually distances us from relationships that are important to us. It prevents us from starting a new stage in life. It consumes us with deep pain. They make us feel wounds that have not yet closed, causing deep pain that is difficult to manage. One of the consequences of not closing that cycle of resentment is that it prevents us from establishing new relationships in the future, because of the mistrust generated towards that fact in the marriage. This happens when resentment is not addressed and builds up over time. As time goes by, resentment increases, turning into a monster that devours the person, preventing him or her from forgetting, understanding or resolving the situation that has put him or her in this emotional state.
We must become aware that we cannot continue to be dominated by this emotional state. Resentment is an emotion, and that is why we must try to deal with it as just another emotion.
One way to deal with it is to express what we feel, identify what caused it, delimit the reason for the resentment, become aware of that fact and accept it, admit that we feel resentment towards that person and situations that caused us deep wounds. Only in this way can we regulate that emotion and see what part of it is ours to heal our hearts and apply the strategy of forgiveness.
Although at this stage we have a lot of inability to forgive and say goodbye to that emotion that hurts us.
The important thing is to stop focusing on the past. Accept the facts, discover that behind every situation in life there is a learning process and forgive. If you have not forgiven, you are immersed in resentment, suffering and pain. It is up to you to change things in a positive way.
Forgive to move forward. Of course, 100% true. When you decide to forgive you free yourself from the past. Forgiving others and forgiving yourself is liberating. It allows you to open up new opportunities in life, in your environment allowing you to create a better life.
It is all up to you, the choices you make will influence your life. Everything can flow and start the life you desire instead of living under the domination of that emotion that only gives you suffering. When you forgive in your heart, the armour that enslaves you is released. Your mind is freed, with clearer and more positive thoughts.
Do you feel a shell in your heart? Do you feel the need to close that stage of resentment that does not allow you to move forward?
Start forgiving and you will see the change in your life... forgiving doesn't hurt, forgiving liberates. This article is inspired from the depths of my thoughts, with the sole intention of supporting a wounded heart, which has not yet found the inner peace it needs to be happy. It is for an invisible friend, it can be for you. Ibiza, Spain.
Thank you for reading. I look forward to your comment. I will be attentive to your answer.

Celebrating Another Year.
For months now my 6-year-old granddaughter has been asking how long it will be until October. Since the beginning of the year, she started counting the months. And now that the month of October has started, things got more intense, because now she was counting the days until the 16th. Every time, every moment of the day, since the beginning of the month, she was asking how many days until her birthday. We started to call her "the intense child" because it really got to the point where she was making her parents cranky.
Early this morning, October 15th, the first thing she said when she woke up was: "Guess, tomorrow is my birthday! We didn't have to guess anything, she has been reminding us for months... hahaha.
My granddaughter is not the only child who is intense with her parents. All children are intense when it comes to celebrating their birthdays. They get ahead of the day, announcing many days in advance, even months in advance, their party among their cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and among their favorite little friends. For children, their birthday is a big celebration party. Thus putting parents in a big commitment to planning a children's party that might be out of the family's budget for the month. But is it important to celebrate children's birthdays?
Yes, it is very important. It's not just the party. Even the party doesn't have to be ostentatious. It is enough to have a cake with candles and to be with family and friends. The important thing is to foster certain values in your child that influence their emotional development. Family togetherness, socializing with friends, the joyful side of life, and the importance of sharing are some of the reasons to celebrate with joy such an important date for the child.
By celebrating a child's birthday, parents are also helping to raise their child's self-esteem. When a child feels celebrated, she (or he) feels important and loved by his parents and other family members. The party, however simple it may be, has great emotional value for the child.
Celebrating birthdays has a positive side, it strengthens family ties. That aspect is very positive for your child. She (or he) feels happy that everyone is together on his special date. With her or his closest friends, the child's companionship is fostered, so that she or he begins at an early age to establish social relationships as a member of the community where the child lives.
Taking good photos or good videos of the celebration, even if it is very simple, is important as it reinforces childhood memories of joyful moments. These create positive memories that can become very meaningful to the child and the family in the future.
Another positive side of celebrating your child's birthday is that children are unaware of their growth. By being aware of their date every year, it is a positive development for your child, they gain a perspective of time. In this way they get to understand and discover that each year is a process of growth. My granddaughter, when she looks at the photos of her past birthday parties, always admires herself and says: look, when I was little... hahaha, that is, with her 6 years old she learned that every year she grows up... we will see what she will say tomorrow when she is 7 years old.
Parents, don't feel worried if you don't have the financial resources to throw a big birthday party for your child. If you don't have the money for something ostentatious, talking to your child is important. At the end of the day, they are only interested in celebrating with a cake, candles, some refreshments, and candies. Something simple will do. With family and a few friends, in an environment where the child feels included, with lots of love and affection from everyone around them, that's the most important thing. The important thing is to have a good time... ah! And don't forget to take beautiful photos to remember.
Now tell me, do you have children?, are they as intense as my granddaughter in remembering the days to celebrate? Do you celebrate their birthdays?
Thanks for your comments, I'll be happy to respond.

No Mobile Signal... I'm dying!
At the beginning of October, something unusual happened worldwide on social networks: WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram were without signal. It was more than 6 hours of worldwide suffering. I can tell you that I found out about the signal loss because my son told me about it. And you may wonder why I didn't find out personally, I will tell you why I didn't find out personally when the social networks went down. First I want to say something that stood out in the behaviour of the people who were close to me and what I could see later in some of the content.
At home, during those six hours, there was an exaggerated feeling of anxiety, including tachycardia, on the part of some adult family members. Yes, I am not exaggerating, and I might add that this altered emotional state also provoked headaches and an upset stomach. And also to my neighbors and their teenage children. Several days later I was able to read some content from my computer that the symptoms of the technological failure or crash were the same worldwide. Thousands of people expressed the same obsessive thoughts about not being able to communicate for those six hours. Everyone was in a nomophobic state for six hours!... to die. For those of you who don't know the term "**nomophobia**", I'll tell you in simple terms what the irrational fear of being without a mobile phone, not being able to see any notifications, messages, social networks or not being able to get into apps or games is - living proof that we are in a world dependent on technology. With the pandemic and health confinement, the use of mobile phones for all activities in our lives has increased. Even the number of people searching for partners online has increased. Thank God, the traditional way of "making" a baby and bringing it into the world is still alive and well because can you imagine, an online baby!
But to what extent have we fallen into a nomophobic state? Well, I can tell you that if you constantly give immoderate use to your mobile phone, or in other words, if once you have finished with your daily routine, either your work activities, or if you are a student, you have finished with your academic duties, you have had several conversations with family and friends and you still have an overwhelming need to check your mobile phone at every moment of the day and night, I can tell you that you could be in a kind of addiction to technology. Welcome to the world of nomophobia.
Nomophobia is not a disease, it's a symptom. It is an irrational fear you feel of not being able to communicate or interact in other activities or with other people through your mobile phone. Fear is an obvious symptom of your addiction.
As with all addictions, there are always levels of persistence to the addiction, and only by seeing an addiction specialist can you determine your level of addiction and then your personal treatment, although I will tell you that you can also manage to eliminate or lower your level of addiction to the mobile phone if you have a lot of willpower. It all depends on what your level of addiction is and if that addiction is causing you any other problems in your life on a personal and family level.
Now, going back to the question of why I didn't find out when the system failed for six hours of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, I will tell you the following, and my sister @gertu13 is a faithful witness that what I have said is true. For the last two years or more, my mobile phone, because it is a very old technology, no longer accepts WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram applications. I can only use it for text messages. It doesn't even work for making calls because it has a lot of interference and calls are dropped without being able to talk. I have tried to scrape together the dollars to buy a better technology to reconnect to the world of social networking but I have always had to divert the money to other higher priority causes such as food and medicine. https://read.cash/@gertu13
It is now three months since I started writing for read.cash that I have been able to keep up a pace of saving in dollars, so that I can finally buy a mobile phone. I think I can have a new mobile phone by November, God willing. That's why I didn't hear about the downfall of the social networking system. I am not addicted to the mobile phone, I have overcome this addiction for three years without a new mobile phone. But be careful, when I buy it I can't guarantee that I won't fall into the nomophobic world... hahaha... I am planning to dabble in other platforms like noise.cash. and in games, which can generate cryptocurrency income for me. So I don't know how I will be further ahead with my new cellphone in relation to nomophobia. What do you think?
The computer I use nowadays, how old is it?...very old too, I think it dates back to the time when man first stepped on the moon, to give you an idea of how old it might be.... But that's another story, which I'll tell you someday... I'll just tell you that it's quite an odyssey to write and communicate with you. I have overcome many barriers, but it is worth the perseverance and perseverance in being with you. I am grateful as always to be on read.cash.
To finish for today... what can you tell me about technology addiction, are you nomophobic?

No te dejes, tú puedes.
¿Qué me cuentan ustedes?

The Passion that Defines you.
Most people are passionate about certain activities. When we do them very often we are defined as passionate people. But it is true that having a passion brings out the best in us, motivates us to seek more and more information, thus improving our knowledge in that activity that moves us, makes us a person full of energy, more interesting for other people who may be interested in you because they are united by the same passion. It is said that a passionate person is successful in life. Can a passion change life? I believe so. If you are a person who constantly manifests inclination and curiosity to learn always about the same subject, dedicating a lot of time, enthusiasm, and energy to it, then I will tell you that you have a passion that moves you in life.
A variety of passions move people. Reading contents on read.cash I have been able to identify many passions. I will try to mention a few.
Before the pandemic, soccer brought thousands of people to the fields. But even with the pandemic and confinement, soccer fans have been following the games through social networks. Large numbers of followers and fans stop their routine activities at work or at home before a game of their favorite team. **Soccer is a passion** for millions of people around the world, it is ninety minutes of unbridled emotions. Here at read.cash there are many writers who confess their content to be passionate about soccer.
One passion I identify with is a **passion for plants**, and I have read a lot of content from writers who tell of the effort and dedication they give to their garden, yard, and plot of land they own. They make those spaces their favorite, dedicating time and effort. We can't help but see photos, read tips on care and maintenance, and always try to join other people with the same passion for green spaces and nature through social media groups.
Photography is another passion that brings people together. As photographs reflect the concerns, preferences, beliefs, or desires, you can through them have a tool to understand the way of feeling and thinking at a certain time of the person who captures the image. People who dedicate themselves to this passion are usually characterized by being curious people, they can be people who do not measure risks when looking for a good image. They are very sensitive, they always look for the beautiful side of things, they have a connection with their surroundings, with nature, they know how to reach people and their environment, they are very observant. **Photography is a passion** that unites many people through social networks, especially those of us who write in read.cash, and through the noise. Cash. platform.
**A passion for languages** is another passion that attracts many linguistic experts. The knowledge of mastering other languages seduces many people. I have read several interesting contents on the subject, those interested in reading good content, I recommend you to read the post: The World's Most Influential Languages. https://read.cash/@RDMoy/the-worlds-most-influential-languages-53e04f23
**Passion for weaving**, magic hands that create art. It is a passion that those who practice it confess that it is soothing, that it fills their soul with peace. People who are passionately dedicated to the art of crochet knitting join in the social networks exposing their creations with great pride and passion, it is not for less because they are truly works of art, I recommend to those who practice this passion to read some contents of @carolinacardoza you can find simple explanations of her crochet works. I really love her creations, it's a pity that knitting is not my passion, but I praise the hands that practice it. https://read.cash/@carolinacardoza
Traveling the world is a passion that many people practice. Today not so much, because of the sanitary confinement imposed by the governments of the world. People who travel feel free, without ties, they like to discover places where they have never been, they like to explore. **Passion for travel** is in the genes. According to science, people who like to travel have an excessive increase of dopamine, every time they travel they feel overly happy and have a sense of self-fulfillment; this emotional state is called the wanderlust effect. This phrase is often used by people who are passionate about traveling constantly. In these pandemic times, many people who have this constant wanderlust and are unable to do so because of health confinement feel anxious and sometimes depressed. On read.cash there are many writers with content from the different trips they took before the pandemic. If you are an authentic travel enthusiast, an authentic wanderlust, how do you feel today about not being able to travel?
A new passion has emerged since 2008 when, inspired by the financial crisis, following the collapse of the real estate market, Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. Digital passionate advocates of cryptocurrency have rallied for the cyber cosmo, and because of their **passion for cryptocurrency** they are the so-called bitcoiners. There are many factors that can define the profile of a bitcoiner and its definition lies in how Bitcoin evolves through the financial crises and currently its evolution in a pandemic environment. Today's world has bitcoiners watching very carefully what the future of Bitcoin is. Many are the opportunistic bitcoiners who take advantage of the crisis and know that Bitcoin is an unlimited way to make money.
Let's move on now to talk about another great passion, but this one is personal, it is mine. **My passion for psychology**. I am passionate about knowing aspects of people's personalities. I can't help it. I am always driven to study, to know, to investigate topics related to the psychology of personality. The study of personality and the factors involved in its development are subjects that I am passionate about.
There are many activities that move us, that make us look for the meaning of life, that keep us in constant search of information, in constant movement. It is impossible for me to detail them all, because it would be like counting stars in the sky. Every human being has his own passion. Whoever does not have a passion, does not live.
What moves you, what is your passion? I would like to know through your comment what you are passionate about in life. Thank you for reading my posts and commenting.

The Power to Choose
For the last few days, I have been doing a dynamic with two other people. We meet and talk openly about the experiences that have arisen in our relationships with our friends, with our children, with our neighbors. And something interesting that we discuss in the therapy we do is that we become aware of some problems that we are facing at that moment and we look for possible solutions. There are situations that catch my attention a lot in those conversations and it is the importance we give to things.
The present that we live in these pandemic times, presents us with a daily life full of situations, some simple and other times a little more complicated. But almost always we get stuck in problems that do not allow us to move forward. And then the question arises: what do we give more importance to, the problem that is presented to us or the solution to that problem?
All of us, as I said before, in the day to day we are presented with circumstances that come to generate problems in our lives, but if you give more importance to the problem than to its solution, we will be immersed in a constant emotional state of anguish and stress. Now, what is more important, the solution of the problem or the problem itself. The decision is yours. You have the option to choose. You have that power.
The drawback is that not everyone has the mental capacity to recognize what is the highest priority. If you are a person with a positive mentality you will know immediately that looking for a solution to a problem is the most important thing. Contrary to people who are always in a constant lament, who live being a victim of their problems, in a constant complaint, for these people the problem that arises will have more importance than the solution of the same.
Sometimes we feel that all problems are of such importance that we do not know what to do, we feel that everything has priority. The key is to give each situation its value. We have to ask ourselves: what do I do, if everything is important? Our internal conflict stops us from making decisions, because between the things we want and the things we know are convenient for us, we do not know what to choose. Choosing is difficult.
When we want to establish priorities we have to be clear about what we really want, what makes us happy, what makes us move forward, what makes us grow as a person. What makes us feel well-being. Sometimes we say that something is important to us but our behavior shows the opposite. Meet people who say that the most important thing is to have peace and tranquility in their lives and are involved in toxic friendships, that is, it is contradictory because with that kind of friendship you will not have peace and tranquility in your life, nor in your environment.
The priorities in life change, we always have to choose, we always have to try to move forward in life. The important thing is to look for solutions to problems and focus on the solution to move forward, for our personal satisfaction and that of our environment. To choose thinking of oneself, not of others, is not being selfish, it is giving ourselves an opportunity to move forward in a positive way in our emotional state. Not being afraid to make mistakes is part of life, it makes us grow. It is valid to make mistakes when we make decisions. It is also valid to laugh at them and take that mistake as a new beginning. Let's not be afraid of other people's opinions. To be wrong when we choose what to do.
Focus on you, it is the most important thing. It sounds selfish but you are your own priority, to focus on what is important to you, to look for the solution to your problems, to choose according to your needs and desires. If you make a good choice and you are happy you will also be changing your environment and your relationship with your partner, with your children, with your friends and with your neighbors. If you make a mistake, it is a learning lesson.
Recognize what your priorities are and act accordingly, you have the power to choose. All of us chose to be here at reas.cash. We have had problems, sometimes with our computers, sometimes with our health, sometimes with family circumstances, but we have always looked for the solutions because we focus on the solution, not the problem itself. We chose to be in this community. We chose people to sponsor and people chose us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who chose me to sponsor them. To the people who chose to continue reading my posts. It's all about making decisions and choices.
Thanks to all of you. You are the best.

Love Without Pretending
Let's start October talking about love. Specifically about love as a couple. That feeling that two people share, that affective relationship that moves us, that makes us share time and live experiences with that special being. That love of two people who respect and value each other according to the balance of the relationship.
But, if that couple relationship is not what I had dreamed of? where that love that begins, manifests itself with discomfort, dependence, and psychological abuse, where freedom is lost, and no longer produces satisfaction, where that love continually makes us cry, makes us feel discomfort, makes us suffer.
When we realize that we are involved in an unhealthy, contaminated, toxic relationship, where there is no true love, at least not the one we dreamed of.
I have had many cases of people who consult me and seek guidance about the relationship they have with their loved one, people who are not yet couples but think or want in the future to have a life together.
When they tell about their "romance" and at the end of the story I ask them if in the future they imagine themselves together as a couple, and the answer is that in the future they do not see themselves next to that person, that answer is already a great indication that that person is not the right one.
It could be that they are still hoping that things will go as they planned, suddenly the need to be happy closes their mind and makes them hope that in the future when they live together things will change, and they keep the relationship with the idea that situations will change. But that is a false illusion.
I can guide you by telling you that if your loved one constantly sees everything negative about you, that you should change your whole life routine, your friends, your daily activities, for example: going for a walk, or visiting friends, that you only visit your parents or siblings. Already in fact that person is telling you that he or she doesn't accept you as you are now, that person wants you to be someone else when you join in the relationship, friend, I can only say that you are in an unhealthy or toxic relationship because that person doesn't love you as you are, he or she wants to change you.
In this type of relationship, one or both of you suffer. That person with whom you want to share makes you unhappy. That constant claim that you have to change your routine, your habits, your friendship relationship, to please the other, only causes emotional wear and tear.
Many times to avoid confrontations the person is submissive, accepts all the demands of the other person, thus avoiding that your partner is upset or displeased and thus avoids confrontations, but in the long run, it is only a self-deception, because that emotional wear will only make physical and emotional illnesses appear, such as anxiety and stress. everything changes but for the worse, your esteem drops, everything makes you sad, you leave your environment of friends and family. You become more and more exhausted until you realize that you are immersed in a toxic relationship.
There are many causes that drive a person to continue maintaining a relationship that does not make her (or him) happy and that only lives to please the other person. The submissive person has very low esteem, thinks that if he or she moves away from that person nobody will love him her, then will never be able to find another love. The submissive person is very afraid of being alone, without another love, has a great emotional dependence, has a great lack of affection, shows insecurity, fear to go on alone. And above all, The submissive person thinks that he is the solution in the other person's life, that she (or he) will solve the other person's problems.
You should never accept to stay in a toxic relationship, especially if it is just beginning. It is time to break that affective bond with that person who is not convenient, realize that, it is very important for emotional health. Whoever does not give you love, the beautiful love that you are looking for and that you deserve, does not deserve your company.
Don't allow yourself to be changed, if you don't want to change, just because of another person's whim, always be yourself, unique, original.
Always continue with your routine and friendships, but if you want to do so, let you be the one to decide with whom you should continue or not a friendship and continue in the family union, without harming anyone. Continue with your daily routine. You are valuable, you are, you don't have to prove your value to anyone. Don't let anyone disqualify you or belittle you, if they do, my friend, stay away from this toxic relationship.
"*Love should be shown without pretending. Hate evil, and hold on to what is good*" **Romans 12:9**.

October with Fewer Zeros.
We start the month subtracting. Although we have been subtracting zeros from my country's currency for years. Yesterday when I published the article of the day I briefly discussed what would start to happen as of October 1st with our local currency, the bolivar. I am not an expert in economics, nor in political science, nor do I pretend to be, people who follow my posts know that my area of expertise is psychology, but I would like to try today, in a simple way, what is happening with our local currency and with our economy. Remember that I am not an expert in the matter but I do have my personal criteria, because I live it, because I am Venezuelan.
For those who do not know Venezuela, I will tell you that it has great natural beauties, it is a beautiful country, I love my country. I present it to you, those of you who live in the other part of the world: Venezuela is located on the northern coast of South America. Caracas is our capital. We have a population of almost 30 million people. We are kind people, cheerful, always giving a hand to our brother in need, at least the majority of Venezuelans are in solidarity with our fellow man. We used to have a thriving and prosperous Venezuela. But it is a bygone time. Now Venezuela is different.
The readers who always read my posts know that I am an optimistic person, always transmitting positive messages, to live the present in peace and harmony. Happiness is subjective. It's up to me to be happy or bitter, that's why I always choose to be happy regardless of my environment. But I cannot deny my environment. Because my environment is a reality. Whether it is good or bad, it is the one that is lived. For that reason, I do not deny what is happening in my beautiful Venezuela.
To give you some examples of the serious deterioration we suffer at the infrastructure level, I can tell you that all public services have collapsed. For a long time there have been thousands of blackouts due to lack of electricity. Last year we spent a week in complete darkness. Without going too far, yesterday we had several blackouts in just one day. Here it is already normal to be without energy, without water, without gas. The cause, neglect and total abandonment in the maintenance of the electrical infrastructure by the national government, who is the governmental entity in charge.
Another example is the case of public health care, which is dramatic for most Venezuelans. Hospitals and health control centers do not escape the government's negligence. Illnesses that had been eradicated are coming back. Shortage of medicines and if we manage to get them, it will be at a price that exceeds the minimum wage of many Venezuelans. Just buying a medicine can leave you without food in your fridge for a month. And with the covid19 pandemic, all Venezuelans are under the protection and mercy of God.
The maintenance of urban transportation is just as dramatic. We have a paralyzed public transportation fleet. Venezuelans who do not have a private vehicle spend long hours waiting for a bus. Or to avoid waiting they choose to take long walks, they go on foot to their destinations. Most of the private vehicles are broken down due to a lack of spare parts. Like for example my truck, which I have had in my garage for 3 months due to a lack of tires and lack of gasoline. Yes, gasoline. In Venezuela, an oil country, there is no gasoline. I do not want to go on telling about other areas, such as supplies and repair of agricultural machinery, with this brief description I think it is enough, besides I do not want to get depressed by writing this.
Do you already have an idea of what Venezuela is like today?
I tried to make a brief scenario, to give you an idea of the Venezuela of today, with the most serious economic and humanitarian crisis in the history of the country and the world, but surely you are wondering: why the permanence of the government? That is another story that I will not tell you today.
Now I will tell you about our currency. The bolivar is the legal tender in Venezuela.
As I briefly mentioned in the previous article, the bolivar has undergone three reconversions. The first one was in 2008 when three zeros were eliminated, then in 2018 five zeros, and as of today, October 1st, we have an elimination of six zeros. In less than 13 years, 14 zeros have been eliminated from the Venezuelan currency. The purpose of this elimination of zeros from the currency is to facilitate the compression of large amounts of money in economic transactions. https://read.cash/@rodriguezpct/eliminating-zeros-8fe19aef
We have a hyperinflation that wreaks havoc at all levels at the time of payment, they are enormous amounts. We have a minimum wage that is not enough to survive. It takes 30 minimum wages to cover the basic food needs of a family. That is the reason for the exodus of Venezuelans, it is difficult to survive like this.
Before the pandemic, we entered into a process of dollarization. But not on the part of the government, because our salary is still paid in bolivars, in the national currency, which has been super devalued.
Venezuelans are paid in bolivars but we pay our commercial transactions in dollars. And we also save in dollars, for those who can save, of course. At least since I started writing in the read.cash community and earning in BCH, I withdraw my cash in bolivars and then buy dollars. Dollarization is the result of the permanent hyperinflation that has made the local currency meaningless. That is why I say that with such a decadent economy, in a country that produces nothing, we are facing a bolivar that is going to disappear. At present, it is worthless, almost on its way to extinction. The government only puts inorganic money into circulation as the main source of financing without productive backing. Every month it places subsidy bonds as economic measures.
The elimination of the six zeros to our national currency is only a make-up, in other words, a false illusion, now the amounts in commercial transactions will be minimal, but for our loss of monetary value, because in reality, we pay the same amount in dollars.
The intention of making known the ugly side of Venezuela is because of what happened today with the elimination of zeros to our already battered bolivar. It is the reality of every Venezuelan. But I keep my faith and hope. With the optimism that characterizes me, I move forward.
Living in peace and tranquility is an option and I choose it. But I take action, I move, I do not stay still, every day I remain in search of producing additional income and thanks to God in read.cash I have found it.
Thank you so much to all of you, to my sponsors, and to so many people who read my posts. You are part of my happiness. You make me reflect, that there is still hope. Thank you.
Eliminating Zeros..
Only one day left to say goodbye to September. In a few hours, we enter the last quarter of the year 2021. Always thinking about time. We love to remember past times and envision the future. In the present time, we live with those thoughts.
In my remote past time in July, when I started writing in reas.cash, I proposed to investigate the dynamics of the platform, with the guidance of my sister @gertu13 I understood that I had to draw a routine for writing, reading, and commenting, as well as tipping and sponsorship. Reading and trying to understand the cryptocurrency world. In July I had barely a month on this platform, it was my first time on any platform. I had never in my life had the experience of being a blogger.
Reading, writing, and commenting, yes, but in scientific research work, as an advisor and tutor of research projects in universities, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In fact, in even more distant times, as a student, I finished a degree in a distance university, that is, I had to read a whole university degree but in books because that time was not the time of the technology generation of my present time. I keep the habit of reading, reading complete books and analyzing them. In commenting on what I read and in writing. I do it a lot with the Bible.
Going back to the past, when the month of August ended, I read many articles related to goals. I started to set my own personal goals, such as publishing an article a day, and commenting on articles by other writers. As well as having a financial plan to acquire some technological equipment that I want to optimize my work as a blogger. For the most part, the goals for that month were met.
September started as planned. I had a good pace of execution, but in the middle of the month I couldn't keep up. There were some technical problems with my computer. My computer didn't work well, and in addition to other personal problems, I didn't feel upbeat for a few days. So to relax, I lowered the number of daily comments, and that delayed the daily goals I had in my objective for the month.
I remembered that I had read an article that said that the negative thing about setting goals was that if you can't meet them, you get stressed out. And since I don't want to get stressed, I adjust my goals to the real conditions of my environment. That's the good thing about planning, that you can adjust it. I'm sorry for the progress because I didn't stop publishing as I had planned, but I did reduce the number of comments per article read.
Thinking about the future, Venezuelans have months of thinking about the first of October. I will tell you the following, for those who do not have the information. In my country, we are expecting a monetary reconversion for the third time as of October 1st. Poor Bolivar, once again they are eliminating zeros. The first currency reconversion was in 2008. The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) eliminated three zeros from the local currency. We were all in the dark, we had no idea how to do banking transactions, the older the person the more disoriented he or she was. Older people get very confused when it comes to making purchases by eliminating those three zeros from their accounts at the time of canceling a purchase. This is just a simple example to describe in a simple way the chaos generated by eliminating those three zeros.
At that time in the past, people were in a bad mood and anguished, although in the present time, many people are still in that emotional state.
Then in 2018, it happened again, total madness, the second reconversion eliminating five zeros. People were barely adapted to those five zeros less and now, as of October 1, we will have six zeros less.
Hyperinflation is the reality of our present time, in Venezuela today. Fourteen zeros have already been eliminated from the nominal value of our currency in less than 13 years. Our future time could be, with seven or eight zeros less of our already beaten poor bolivar.
So I decided not to set goals for October, I am going to let myself go by what happens in my day-to-day, in my present time. I am in Venezuela, where to solve problems they eliminate zeros. In October I have to adapt my mind to six zeros less. So, I will live my present as it comes. I don't want to be in a bad mood. The government eliminates zeros, I eliminate anxiety.
Live the present, without anxiety, calmly...
*And which of you, however anxious he may be, can add one hour to the course of his life?* **(Matthew 6:27)**

They will lift you up in their hands
When I received the sad news of my father's passing, I was 17 hours away from where my family was reunited with my father. I could not go by plane. I decided to travel by road, if I traveled by bus it would be about 17 hours, if there were no problems on the roads, or 9 hours if I hired an executive cab service. I received the news in the early afternoon. Already that day I could not leave by bus because they only leave in the mornings for the destination city at that time. In other words, I would have to wait to leave early in the morning of the next day. And I was not ready to wait. If I decided to wait, I would wait by plane. When you get that kind of news and you are far away, your greatest desire is to be with your family as soon as possible.
I packed light hand luggage, stopped by an ATM to withdraw cash. At that time it was possible to withdraw the amount requested by ATM and when I called the executive cab it was already getting dark.
I remember that I went next to the driver, because although I made the trip in a cab, when I make trips for many hours I prefer to converse with the driver to prevent him from falling asleep while driving. I have already gone through this experience on long trips and at night when the driver falls asleep.
After several hours of travel, it started to rain very hard. It was nighttime. Nothing could be seen. The driver slowed down his car but it was still moving fast. I started to get nervous because I couldn't see anything on the road in the heavy rain. The road must be narrow, with no street lights, one of those old roads that go through villages.
As I am nervous I start to pray silently. I tilt my head down, with my eyes closed, I begin to silently ask my Heavenly Father to send protective angels around the car to guide the way.
After praying, I raise my head with my eyes open. And what I saw in front of me, was fleeting, very fast, a matter of a second, it was so impressive, that for a single instant I thought the driver was going to crash into it.
When I looked up, in front of me was a beautiful white horse, with huge wings spread along the track, galloping along the ground, as if flying, on top of the horse, upright, was a warrior with his right hand raising a sword. When I saw him, he was so close to the carriage that I placed my hands on the dashboard of the carriage because I thought the driver was going to hit him. I only saw him for a second.
When I reacted to the shock of that instant the horse was gone. I rubbed my eyes and put my hands to my chest, calming my heart. I turn to look at the driver. I realized that the driver was alert, concentrated on driving the car and did not give any alarm signals of anything supernatural, that is, he did not see what I saw. And there I understood everything.
I was praying so fervently that God would send angels to protect me on that dangerous road on a night of heavy rain. The biblical passage in Psalm 91:12 says very clearly, referring to the angels of protection, "They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone" God heard my cry.
From that moment that I understood, I stopped being afraid. My fear on that trip to the city where my father was, had disappeared, because I was in protective hands, so that my trip would not stumble over a stone on the road. I arrived safely at dawn the next day, hugging my brothers.
This story is real, it happened years ago, on July 16, the day my father passed away.
I want to thank all my sponsors and @ARTicLEE, who after reading his article about angels, inspired me to write mine. To the readers who follow me, everyone, for reading and leaving comments. You guys rock.
The Anchoring of Rejection
Yesterday I did some activities at home. Taking advantage of a bright sun, I put clothes in the washing machine. And then I hung it out on the patio. I noticed that my passion fruit plants are drying out. Most of their leaves have fallen off. I think the passion fruit plants are closing their life cycle. I thought their life cycle was longer, they are barely a year and a few months old. After hanging the clothes in the sun, I did some reading on reasd.cash and commented on some articles.
But the hardest part today was sitting down to write. I remembered a very interesting article I read recently, where the writer says that when there are no ideas to write, think of a word. I did the mental exercise and the first word I thought of was: rejection... yesterday I didn't want to sit down to write... hahaha.
The mental exercise worked because immediately my hands started writing. The words flowed and I let myself be carried away by the inspiration that flowed spontaneously, that is to say, I let myself be carried away by the muse of the moment...
We have heard the word rejected many times. It is not a pleasant word for anyone. There is nothing positive in that word. When we go to apply for a job, for example, and they put a stamp on it that says: rejected. Ugh, how bad it feels. Or when we are rejected by other people, a friend, or a loved one, it is a feeling that sticks, like a thorn in the heart, literally. Have you ever had that feeling? It's normal to feel it. Because we have feelings. ok.
When we are rejected we don't know how to deal with it. We just know that it made us feel bad. We don't know how to act in that situation, we just know that our behavior and mood change. But that change should not be permanent, at the most it should last a few days and that's it...just forget about it, as we say in my country. In other words, feel bad, but do not anchor yourself in that feeling, right.
When a person has emotional wounds of rejection, they are more vulnerable to feel bad in any negative situation that arises in their life. Especially in the family, in their relationship with their partner. Days, months, and even years can pass and they are still with that open wound that they were rejected. Other people in similar situations of rejection, simply turn the page, chapter closed, and say: nothing happened here. Have you ever behaved this way in the face of rejection?
Some people maintain a victim attitude in the face of rejection, because they have an anchorage of this feeling due to a past event, in their childhood, which affected them in such a way that this feeling of being rejected is frequently manifested in their adult life. That person is anchored to that feeling. He clings to it.
But the bad thing about clinging to the feeling is not to recognize it, to try to face it and heal. He clings to the feeling in order to victimize himself. The healthy thing would be to recognize the feeling of rejection, not to pretend or try to detract from the pain he feels. Instead of playing the victim, you should say: I am not going to let this feeling change my mood. And find a way to change your attitude. Wounds must be healed.
When we are adults, and we are anchored in that feeling of rejection, we keep a wounded child inside our subconscious. That wound was born in childhood by some constant episode of rejection, either by the parents, or the person responsible for the child in its stage of growth and emotional development.
It is a wound that never heals, that even in adult life bleeds and does not let you be free, or free yourself. To free yourself, you have to Forgive. Then you feel free and healthy emotionally and physically. Yes, physically, because that wounded child, leaves sequels that become dangerous toxins to the body, and eventually become diseases, stress, depression and a host of other illnesses.
I hope that today's article, inspired by the word "rejection" will be of reflection and liberation, for those who carry "The anchor of rejection", carry a wounded child in their heart, does not let them move forward and develop a healthy personal life. Look in the mirror and ask the image that is reflected: Is it worth living anchored in rejection?

Everyone Builds their Own Crises
Today I am going to tell you a story, it can be taken from real facts or it can be a product of the imagination.
It follows:
*Ana lives in a beautiful country house. A humble and hard-working woman. A single mother of a son who is studying economics at the university in the city. As a means of producing income, she tries her hand at making homemade jams from the fruit she buys at the village market. And she begins to promote her jam among her neighbors in the countryside.*
*Disconnected from the world, she only dedicates herself to making and selling delicious jams to the people of the village and near her country house.*
*Ana is interested in publicizing her business because her neighbors tell her that the jams she sells are very delicious.*
*She begins to place her own advertisements in several places in the village when she goes to buy the fruits. And so she increases her sales with the people of the village.* *Every day she becomes more and more popular for her delicious homemade jams.*
*Ana is very happy because her business is growing. Now when she goes to the market she chooses the best fruits. At one point she had to buy in bulk the glass containers in which she put the jams. The business was thriving. His jams were the best in town.*
*Eventually, Ana supported financially his son who was about to finish his studies in economics at the university. Soon after, her son, who had already graduated with honors, returned to his mother's house and noticed that his mother continued with the same business, and honoring her profession as an economist, asked her:*
*Mom, don't you listen to the radio? don't you watch television? don't you connect to the social networks? there is a great crisis in the world because of the Pandemic! and the situation in our country is critical, everything is bad and the country is going bankrupt!*
*After listening to her son's considerations, Ana thought: - Well, if my son is an economist, who is connected to social networks, and also watches TV news, maybe he is right.*
*Ana, for fear of the crisis, when she went to the market she chose the cheapest fruits, the ones that were on sale because they were already overripe. To continue to economize, she changed the glass containers where she put the jams for plastic bags. And she stopped advertising with the posters she placed in the market.*
*Devastated by the news of the crisis, Ana did not offer her products as before, nor did she enthusiastically serve her customers in town.*
*When she took all these precautions, the sales of the jams began to decline and fell and fell and reached unbearable levels, where she no longer had the money to continue buying the fruits and plastic bags. The homemade jam business, which used to be the best in town and generated a good income, even enough to support her son in college, finally went bankrupt.*
*Then Ana, very sad, said to her son:*
*-Son, you were right, we are in the middle of a big crisis.*
End of story.
In today's story, Everyone builds their own crises, which is a way of reflection, so that each of us can draw our own conclusions.
Do I know Myself?
There are people who don't know how to live. Ok, I put it another way, it is not enough to breathe, you also have to know how to live. But are we aware of the way we live our lives so that we can assume 100% of our responsibility to live? Not all people are aware of how they are living their life. They go through life just breathing.
I know people I have stopped seeing for years and when we meet again it is as if only one day has passed since I last saw them. They are always in the same emotional situation, their conversations are always complaining, it's always the same excuse and the same justifications. It is as if they have no motivation to live. It's as if time has stopped for them, they have no priorities in life, no purpose.
Now I will tell you about me. Do I know myself? As long as I can remember, I have always had priorities in my life. When I was younger my priority was to study, and my mother's priority was for me to study. She would not let me do any housework without finishing my homework. I was able to successfully complete my undergraduate and graduate studies. I was able to continue studying for a doctorate in Social Sciences but it is not my priority now. Although I have a degree in educational psychology, I put on hold pursuing psychology, psychology is my passion, but not my priority.
As I grew older, my priorities changed. When I got married and had two children, my priority was them. When I read articles by young mothers, they always write that they would do anything for their children. Of course, they would do anything, children are every mother's priority.
Now, after my divorce and my sons are grown up, they are good men, who have their own families, my priority has changed again. Now, after many years, my priority is again for me. Not that it wasn't before, but before I was always focused on my children, on my studies, on my work, now I focus on myself first, on my person.
What is my priority at the moment? I keep researching, investigating, studying in my personal priority with God. Reading the Bible is my priority. It is part of my personal growth and development. I have not stopped reading and studying about my passion which is psychology, but the Bible opens the way of knowledge and understanding of the Word of God and places wise words in me, to guide and give advice to others.
Another priority is to live in the present. Now I don't want to remember the past sad moments. I do not even like to remember the boyfriends I have had ... hahaha ... I want to live the present, but nice, relaxed, without stress, without complaints and anxieties, which can produce me the economic situation, politics of the country, or other toxic people, who come with their negative situations to want to take away my peace and tranquility. It is not that I am ignoring or belittling the real situation, not at all, I am aware of the facts. What I do not allow is that those facts or toxic people influence my emotional state. I make the most of the time I live.
I try as a priority to maintain good relations with my family and my surroundings, with my neighbors. Although there are few of them left because some of them have left the country. In this sense, social networks have been a support to maintain communication with them.
Being happy is also a priority for me. I like to remember happy moments of the happy past, that I like to remember. My trips, my beach, my Gran Sabana. I like to talk with positive, cheerful people. I like nature, fresh air, watching birds, flowers, a sunset, the simple details of life. All these details make me happy. I am grateful to God for life.
What do I value and what do I think is important for me at this moment of my life? Money is important to me because with it I acquire my basic needs. But the value of things has nothing to do with money, I value today more my health and love. My health is always in God's hands, although I support my health with some medicines that I take from time to time and with good nutrition.
Love is also a priority for me. But not love for a partner, which in fact I don't have. I haven't been in love with anyone for a long time, I don't have butterflies in my stomach... hahaha.... I am referring to love towards oneself. The Word says as a commandment to love your neighbor as yourself. It means that God commands me to love myself first. For how can I love my neighbor if I do not love myself? That is why I try to eat healthy food, take walks in the morning or when the sun goes down, be kind, help those who need me, give the best of me, take care of my self-esteem, do not cling to the past. Now I invest more in myself.
With the pandemic, I have stopped traveling, but I love to travel, most of the time I do it alone, not because I don't like company, but because I don't depend on other people to travel. I am very sociable, I love to have new friends, cheerful and optimistic about life, I stay away from toxic people.
I feel like a successful woman. I want you to know that success in life does not have to be based on material goods, success is living life according to your values. That at the end of the day you are happy with yourself and that this happiness is perceived by those around you.
I am happy, the creator of my own possibilities in life. Always with my heart open to new adventures. For me, every day is an adventure. It is a success. Always with faith and hope that better times will come.
Finally, I would like to ask you... Do you know yourself?, do you know what your priorities are? I leave you with the gift of a Word about the importance of our thoughts, to lead a happy life, in Proverbs 4:23. "Above all things take heed to your heart, for out of it flows life" Our mind and heart are priorities for a peaceful, joyful life. To be happy.
Grateful to God for the adventure of being in this read.cash community and sharing my writings with you, with my sponsors for their support and for those who always read and leave their comments. You are the best.

Let's Change the Way We Live Our Lives.
Many people have remained under a mental pattern that they are not going to change their life, in certain negative behaviors, which damage their interpersonal relationships. I especially hear this a lot with couples in conflict. They maintain their position of not changing, at least one of them says: "you knew me like this", have you heard it before?
Reflecting on this topic of mental patterns, I can tell you that those mental patterns save the brain time. Yes, time. Because daily tasks are a pattern of repeating behaviors, which are already encoded in the brain, like a computer program, and are performed without thinking, automatically. For example, getting up in the morning without thinking we go to the bathroom and brush our teeth, that simple fact is already programmed in your brain. You don't wake up asking: how do you brush your teeth? The brain already knows what to do.
But today we are going to talk about mental patterns that damage personal relationships and yet the person is reluctant to accept that they need to make a change.
When we live new experiences our brain acts in an effective way, if you have gone through a similar or repeated experience, the new sensory stimuli have where to share or compare. The brain continually compares the experiences we live with those of the past and present. Sometimes we are presented with something new and by having an idea of another similar experience, lived in the past, we perform the new task. And we are asked: How did you do it, and we answer: by logic! Or by instinct.
What we perceive is not outside our mind, nor outside our body. In other words, it is the brain that perceives through the senses, through stimuli. And as it perceives it, it compares it with what it has stored in its mind. There is a popular saying: every head is a world of its own. It is true, it is subjective. For that reason the same situation experienced by several people have different criteria of opinion, according to the individual perception of each person.
In this way, our mind responds to a given stimulus that we perceive, and its reaction will depend on the stimuli that we perceive and are stored in the mind, relating them to the recent past. And in many cases in stimuli that were perceived in childhood and are hidden in the depths of the subconscious.
Now, what happens when you have mental patterns with negative behaviors. People with autonomous and unconscious reactions, but with negative attitudes. Where they always start personal conflicts. If it is a memory that caused a trauma, this comes to the present in the form of fears, anxieties, giving rise to a family conflict or in relationships with other people.
Many of these mental patterns become emotional habits over time, such as: getting up every day in a bad mood, constant complaints about any situation, living thinking about the past, feeling that you are not a good person, mental labels that have left you from the past, playing the victim in any situation that has created conflict, even resisting change.
Let's change the way we live our lives. The pandemic is an example of change. Tremendous changes on an emotional level is the time we are living and that has left its mark on every human being worldwide. But the pandemic has also left us a lesson, we have changed our way of living life. This means that we can also change the mental patterns that have harmed us on a personal level.
There are no more excuses such as "you knew me like this, and I am not going to change".
The important thing is to be aware of the personal problem: do you constantly complain, are you always in a bad mood, do you resist change, has your way of perceiving certain circumstances caused you conflicts with your partner?
Modifying thought patterns is an activity that helps to improve emotional well-being, for mental health, for the benefit of you and your environment.
It is not easy to start modifying behavioral patterns, it requires a lot of will and commitment. But the fundamental step is to recognize that you need to change, to improve your emotional habits.
In the Bible we have a passage where God invites us to change our thinking. In Romans 12:2, "Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him", wonderful words that inspire and motivate us to begin to change in order to live better.
We are body, soul and spirit and they are deeply connected. It means that in the spiritual part of the connection with God, it is available to ask to change our way of thinking, through prayer.
So an excellent program of modification of mental patterns, we have to add as a first step to ask in prayer that change of life to live better.
The other steps would be those of a behavior modification program, where your daily commitment and perseverance are fundamentals.
I invite you to change our way of living life.
Grateful to God for all of you, my sponsors, and readers who follow me in this wonderful community, you are the best.

Jaspe, God's jewel in the Gran Sabana.
I remember that when we arrived that night, we were all tired from the long trip we had made since early in the morning, to see the fullness of the Gran Sabana jungle and to see the Chinak-Meru waterfall. All of us who were on the tour, at that time, went straight to our rooms in the hotel where we were staying, in the city of Santa Elena de Uairen. I remind you that I did the tour in August 2013. If you want to read my experience when I met the second highest waterfall in Venezuela, I invite you to look for my article When I met the Chinak Meru Falls. https://read.cash/@rodriguezpct/when-i-met-the-chinak-meru-falls-0015296a
When we went down for dinner, the tour guide gave directions to the next stop the next morning. We go to the Jasper Waterfall (Kako Parú), a semi-precious stone where the falls are. A work of God. I could not believe it. Ah, it was also important to wear socks on your feet, yes, literally, socks on your feet.
Early after breakfast, we were going to bathe in a precious stone and we had to wear socks. We all asked for an explanation as to why we had to wear that special garment, but he said that when we got to jasper creek we would know why we had to wear stocks.
That night I was very curious, especially because I have always been curious to know about semiprecious stones, I have even had pets named after stones. I remember Gema Violet, and now I have my beloved pet Ambar (Amber). A long time ago I had a little dog named Perla (Pearl).
Back to the story, I remember that we left early, all in the transport we went to kilometer 275, which is where the Jaspe waterfalls are located, in the Gran Sabana. The road is paved, easy to access, thank God, I thought at that moment, because my body was still a little sore from the ride in the 4x4 jeep. If you have read my article that I recommended you to read you will understand why I am saying this here, about the ride... hahahaha.
When we arrived at the place, we all got off the transport and started walking through the jungle. We went through a wooded trail. Lots of vegetation. It is a wonderful experience, the sound of the jungle and its pure air. We did not walk very far. After a while, we started to hear from other people who were already there.
Have you ever taken a bath inside a semi-precious stone? Literally. The whole creek is made of a huge semi-precious Jasper stone. I was always in awe of God's greatness, and to have life to enjoy it.
It is an immense slab of bright red, the Jasper waterfalls on a huge smooth slab of about 300 meters (980 feet) long. At that moment I understood the reason for the socks on my feet. If you don't have socks on, you can't walk through the water that is only a few centimeters deep. Just a little above the ankles. If you don't wear socks, you slip and fall to the ground.
On the ground there are no stones or sand, it is all a large slab of jasper, bright red when the midday sun hits it. It looks like a big slide, in fact people slide as if they were in one because the water depth is shallow. A natural wonder.
At the beginning of the immense slab, on the right side, at the bottom, you find a large sculpture of jasper stone, which time and water have carved as if it were a huge natural staircase, huge steps from where a fall of water descends. People stand under the waterfall and receive a natural massage, water that comes down with force and massages the back, shoulders and head ... I didn't want to get out of there. The water came wonderfully, mostly because of the tiring previous day's journey. You have to be careful with your clothes, because the force of the water can slide your clothes and leave your beautiful body exposed... hahaha... in fact the tour guide commented on that opportunity, that in one of the tours a girl's bikini top came off and she didn't realize that, until she was told. I can imagine the grief that girl went through.
There we spent most of the morning and some of the afternoon. Then we all went back to the hotel, back to Santa Elena de Uairen.
I remember those moments with joy and emotion. I will never erase from my mind those days of peace, of breathing pure air, of contemplating the wonders of God, in the journey through the Gran Sabana, of my beautiful and beloved Venezuela.
This is a true story, lived in August 2013. They are beautiful memories that I want to share with all of you in the community of reasd.cash. Thanks to my dear sponsors and readers for making me live those moments of my life, a wonderful adventure, in the Jasper ravine, a semi-precious stone, God's jewel in the jungle of my beautiful Venezuela.

The Versatile Venezuelan Arepas.
People say that in Venezuela when a child is born, he or she comes with an arepa under his/her arm. It is a popular saying that refers to the popularity of the arepa as a Venezuelan food. It is consumed all over the country.
To comment on the arepa I have to tell the readers of read.cash, who are from distant lands and have no idea, I apologize if I am wrong, what the arepa is. I will give you a brief description of the Venezuelan's daily bread.
The arepa is a food, dish, made of ground corn dough, or precooked corn flour dough, being the easiest to make because we do not have to grind corn. The dough is separated into small portions, no bigger than the size of a fist. Between the two hands it is turned and flattened until a circular shape is obtained. The thickness of the circular dough depends on the person's taste, I like them thin, with little dough inside. It can be cooked in a large frying pan or on a griddle, which must be large enough to accommodate several flattened doughs. In my house, I have a rectangular griddle where you can turn on two burners on the stove and make several arepas at the same time.
They are prepared roasted, fried, baked, but the most popular is the grilled one, which here in Venezuela we call aripo (other parts of the country call it "budare"). In every house in my country, there must be an aripo, if there is no aripo, they are not Venezuelan... hahaha.
Venezuelans are used to eating arepa almost every day. It is an ideal companion at lunch if the menu is a soup or sancocho. For breakfast or dinner, it has to be stuffed. And here it depends on your taste because there is a variety of fillings, some people spread butter all over the inside of the arepa before putting the filling. I love an arepa with butter. Sometimes, depending on the craving, I just eat it with a lot of butter.
The one I had for dinner yesterday had a tasty stew made with ground beef and potatoes chopped in small squares. Very tasty arepa. There is a variety of fillings: with a variety of cheeses, ham, pork rinds, ground or shredded meat, chicken salad, sausage. The Venezuelan's imagination is infinite when it comes to filling an arepa and it is always a delight to the palate.
Depending on the filling, the arepa has a name. You go to a place where they sell them and on the menu you can read names like: A caballo, Catira, domino, llanera, perico, pabellón, rompe colchón, rumbera, sifrina. As I said, there are a variety of names for their filling, but the arepa alone, without filling, is called viuda. If you go to eat a delicious soup and ask for a viuda, they take your arepa alone. But very hot.
Also over time, the dough has varied in its mixture. Now with the country's crisis, Venezuelans have reinvented countless combinations when it comes to preparing the dough, which was traditionally made of ground corn.
Now the combination is also up to the Venezuelan's imagination. You can eat an arepa made with a mixture of cornflour and other foods, such as yucca, pumpkin, plantain, carrot, oatmeal, flaxseed, and stop counting, it is up to your imagination, that is, infinite... and all of them are super delicious. They can be fried or roasted as well.
The Andean arepa is another variety, prepared with wheat flour, very popular in this western part of the country, especially in Merida, Tachira, and of course in Barinas.
There is an arepa whose filling has a history, it is the only 100% Venezuelan arepa, with a history. The story goes that in 1955 in a store located in Sabana Grande, Caracas, they sold delicious arepas with a variety of fillings. They had one that was, at that time, the most sold, whose filling had chicken, avocado, mayonnaise and petit pois. The first Miss World of Venezuela at that time, Susana Duijm, a beautiful woman, radiant in a dress with a small petit pois design, which was the fashion at that time, came to eat there. She loved the arepa so much that she asked the owner what the name of the arepa was.
The owner of the place, upon seeing such a beautiful woman, recently elected Miss World, eating in his place, was so excited that he answered that the arepa was called Reina Pepiada, in honor of her for being queen and for the dress with points (Pepas) that Miss World had at that time. Nowadays, anywhere in Venezuela, you ask for a Reina Pepiada and you get an arepa filled with chicken, avocado, mayonnaise, and petit pois. It is one of the most emblematic dishes of Venezuela.
I'm already hungry from commenting so much about the arepa, so I'll say goodbye to you, but as always a greeting and thanks to my dear sponsors and readers who follow me. If you ever visit my country, don't forget to order a delicious arepa Reina Pepiada.

Travel with your return ticket.
For a long time, people have been using the Internet to find a friendship and maintain a long-distance love relationship with a person. Years ago, a recently divorced colleague of mine signed up on one of these dating sites. Soon after, she made contact with a man who lived in France. They liked each other, fell in love. He came to our country Venezuela for a month and after they spent the month getting to know each other, they both went to France. There they got married. She always kept in communication with me, always telling me what their relationship was like. She always describes it as a fraud. The relationship was not how she imagined it would be. In the end, she was enduring a fake relationship just so she could get French citizenship. After a few years, she got it. And that same year she got divorced. Now she lives in France, divorced, like another French woman. Was it worth it?, I don't know, I would have to put myself in her shoes to judge.
Now in these pandemic times, internet love between people who don't know each other in person has become much more popular. Many people come to me for guidance on how to handle such a relationship. Already, a normal relationship, that is, meeting and relating in person is difficult, much more so it is over the Internet, at a distance, with a stranger.
When a person comes to me and asks me: What do I do?, asking for advice on a relationship, I always answer with another question: What does your heart want?, but whatever your heart wants, do it with your feet on the ground. Do not let emotion dominate reason. Which is very difficult, because the heart always wants to impose itself on reason.
Internet love is madness, and there is a risk of breaking the heart in every way. Recently I received a case of a 52-year-old lady, who met a 53-year-old man, who is from Barinas, where we live, but he has been living in Chile for many years. In less than two weeks of telephone communication, he already wants her to join him as a couple. He wants to pay for her one-way ticket to Chile. To get to know each other, and then live together. But there is something that does not convince me about the things she has told me about him. He tells her that if living in Chile and she doesn't want to be his partner in a year, she has to pay him everything he invested in her and she has to see how to return to her country because he won't give her the return ticket. And she accepted.
In less than a month that they have been communicating by video calls, he has shown himself to be an excessively jealous person, he calls her all the time, he asks her where she is and who she is with. From what she has told me, this man has the characteristics of having a strong, dominant, jealous and possessive personality. It is very difficult to maintain a loving, happy, harmonious relationship with that kind of personality and at a distance, it is even more difficult.
She has low self-esteem and is a submissive woman. She is the ideal partner for an egocentric person. This long-distance relationship is toxic. And yet she persists in continuing communication with him. That's why I say that emotions dominate reason. If she continues, she must face the blows and move on, because she is only giving him a one-way ticket to Chile. The last time we talked she told me that he got very upset, to the point that he would not let her talk, just because she confessed to him that she is asking for guidance and advice and he got upset because of that, he would not let her talk, in the end, he sent her to eat ... (here he said a rude thing) and then cut her call.
I was not surprised by his attitude because it is typical of an egocentric person who wants to manipulate and I was not surprised by her attitude when she said that she was to blame, because she should not have said that she receives guidance and advice. She is the one who looks for her destiny, the wall where to crash, don't you think?
I will continue with her as far as she allows it. I can do no more than give guidance and advice. In the end she will be the one to make her decision. She is a grown woman. It is her life. If she makes the decision to go to Chile, I told her to go with a return ticket, in case her romance doesn't work out. At least she can return on her own, since he made it very clear that if the relationship in Chile does not work out she has to see how to return to her country.
It is her life, she is an adult, it is her decision on how to live her life. What she decides cannot be based on fear. In life you take risks, in her case you take a lot of risks, you fall, you get up and you fall again. You try as many times as you think necessary. But if you never dare, you don't really live life.
In the end, I think she is not going to Chile, she has many doubts, especially a lot of insecurity, she is already realizing that this man is not the right one. But I still told her before ending our conversation, that if she decides to go to Chile, after all, to live that adventure, that she should do it safely... friend, travel with your return ticket!

And... I had to Push the Car!
Since September 15 I had to go for the second dose of the covid 19 vaccine. My daughter-in-law's mother came yesterday, Friday 17th, for us. Everything went very fast this second time, the queue flowed so fast that we spent less than an hour. The injection didn't even hurt. We were given instructions on how to take care of ourselves after the vaccination, and among the recommendations was to rest without physical effort for at least two days and not to get too much sun, and to take shelter from the rain. There, everything was fine.
When we returned home, I asked my daughter-in-law's mother if we could stop by a pharmacy to buy some medicine I needed.
We got out of the car and went to the pharmacy, I asked for the medicines before standing in a line of people who were also going to buy them. The clerk told me that they did have the medicines. So I stood in a small line, but with some time because they were not swiping the electronic payment cards of the customers who were there before me.
When I was served I asked for the medicines, and the most important one I needed was the last one they had on sale. What a blessing, I was on time, was my first thought, thank God. But when it was my turn to pay there was no connection with the bank. We tried two more times and nothing, according to the employee since yesterday they have had that connection problem. And the same in all the stores because yesterday I couldn't pay for some groceries I needed with an electronic card either. So I could not take the medicines. The employee told me that I could reserve the medicines until this afternoon. I agreed to stop by again in the afternoon before the pharmacy closes, to see if I could swipe the card, which has a connection to the bank.
We got back in the car, and it wouldn't start. Nothing, not a sound of anything to start. Like dead. My daughter-in-law's mother got out and with the hood open, she gave the battery terminals and it did not react. Well, as the car is synchronous and it needed to be push, I had to push it. We asked for help from a man who was standing watching how we were trying to start the car. And between the two of us we pushed, although when it was time to do some running, I left that part to the good Samaritan. A few meters ahead he started the car. Thank God, because the sun today is inclement and I didn't want to walk home. It's a bit far on foot.
Back in the car. And when I sat down the first thing I remembered was that I didn't have to do any physical effort for two days, because I had been vaccinated... hahaha... It's all in the mind! God is my protector.
I am grateful to God because yesterday I was able to get my second dose, because I was able to push a car without any problem and most certainly, I will have the medicines I need in the afternoon. It is all a matter of faith.
