Many say then why don't we see evolution now? Darwin spoke of natural selection. It takes thousands / millions / crores of years. Scientists are using artificial selection to accelerate it. There is no difference between genetic processes and natural selection. The process of selection is called 'artificial' only when human involvement has a significant impact on the evolution of a particular species. The evolution that humans are experiencing through artificial selection may never have happened. People are making the necessary evolution in their own interest just by considering the needs. Here are some examples:

Nylotica fish

The full name of Nilotica or Gift Tilapia — Genetically Improved Farmed Tilapia. Naturally, the rate of physical growth of male nilotica fish is higher. Fishery scientists have created gift fish by using hormones to transform all hatchery nilotica into males. The Gift Tilapia breed was first invented in the Philippines by the World Fish Center using the mass selection method of 6 germplasm of tilapia nilotica collected from different countries. In this trend, high yielding fish has been made in the laboratory by changing the genes of different species of fish including curfew fish, pangas, pabda. The salt water fish is being farmed in fresh water.

Brahma cow

Each cow weighs more than 1 ton. How to produce this giant guru for meat. From 1854 to 1928, the Brahma breed was bred by artificial selection through a series of cross-breeding and genetic modification between 228 bulls and 22 cows. Now more and more new species are coming in an effort to produce more and more meat. Brahma breed cows do not have proportional milk. Cows have evolved for milk again. Today, 30/40 kg of milk is being produced in different breeds of cows, which has been made possible through artificial selection and genetic modification.

Boiler chicken

Boiler chicken was in nature? No chicken that is so heavy and slow will survive in nature. Today's boiler chicken has to cross the fleshest and slowest chicken, causing genetic changes. That is, they have been created according to a special order of extreme selection and heredity. In five to seven weeks, broiler chickens are being raised on the farm. The number of chickens in the world now will be several times that of humans. But how many wild chickens are there in the forest? Now the practice of keeping chickens at home has also decreased a lot. In the fifties, attempts were made to artificially increase the shape of chickens. Since then the chicken has undergone incredible changes in weight and shape.

Green paddy

Haripada Kapali, a farmer from Jhenaidah, saw a paddy stalk in his paddy field whose bunch was quite nutritious, long and had a large number of trees. When the paddy was ripe, he set aside the seeds of that rhyme as paddy. He continued to plant this paddy separately. In this way he invented a new variety of paddy which is known as Haridhan in the southwest. Farmers have been collecting improved varieties of paddy in this way for a long time to increase the yield. Haripada Kapali has completed a successful experiment of artificial selection of Darwin's evolution. Scientists are also producing new rice by constantly changing genes in the laboratory. Scientists are now producing new varieties of rice through artificial selection and genetic modification.
