Johnny Kim, a member of the US Navy SEAL and a graduate of Harvard Medical School, is on the NASA list of astronauts.
Johnny Kim is one of 13 recent graduates of NASA's Artemis program. As a result, he is now ready for any mission, including NASA's next International Space Station, the moon and even Mars.
Johnny Kim is set to make a name for himself as a former military officer, doctor and astronaut.
This American citizen of Korean descent was born in Los Angeles, California. He joined the U.S. Navy in 2002 after graduating from Santa Monica High School. Kim was later selected for SEAL (Special Branch of the US Navy) for his talent, skill and craftsmanship.
As a member of SEAL, Kim has successfully served in more than a hundred operations in the Middle East. As a reward for this he received a bronze and a silver medal.
One of Kim's comrades was seriously wounded while Kim was in Iraq. Providing advanced medical care at that time was quite a difficult task. The pain of the comrade became ingrained in Kim's mind and he decided to return to the country and be admitted to the medical school. Returning to the country, he enrolled at the Harvard School of Medicine and received his Doctorate of Medicine degree in 2016.
