Belly Ganes was addicted to getting married and then killing her husbands. The media of that time gave her the title of Lady Bluebird. She had more than 40 murders, including 15 husbands and children.
Belly Ganes was born in Norway. At the age of 23, he came to the United States to make a fortune. In 1893, he married Mad Sourson for the first time. The husband and wife ran a confectionery together. There was also a adopted daughter named Jenny.
Suddenly their two sons and daughters died. Although it seems that they died of acute inflammation of the stomach, this was actually the first murder of Belly Ganes. He started with his own children, so that he could raise money for life insurance in the name of the children.
Then the husband and wife planned to burn their confectionery one day. The goal of both of them was to kill the insurance money. But Belly Ganes's motives were somewhat different.
The day Mad Shoresan took the insurance money from the bank, he mysteriously died. Doctors found the presence of a chemical in the body but did not pay much attention to it. Rather blamed a heart attack as the cause of death.
A closer look at the doctor revealed that a chemical called strychnine had actually been applied to the bodies of Shorshan and his two children. Bailey Ganes killed her husband and children with this highly toxic, colorless poison.
He then moved to Indiana with the other three children. He bought a 42-acre farm there. No, he did not buy this farm to live in peace. Instead, the firm later became known as The Death Garden. It was in this garden house that he committed most of his murders.
As soon as he bought the farm, he set fire to part of his farm, and collected more money from the insurance.
She married Peter Ganes on April 1, 1902. It would be wrong to say marriage. Rather, it should be said that on April Fool's Day, he gathered one more prey.
Her new husband had two daughters. Shortly after the marriage, the little girl mysteriously died. Father Peter Ganes suspected that something was wrong. He then sent his eldest daughter, Swanhild, to a relative's home. This was the only girl who survived Belly Ganes.
Ganes's second husband died in 1903. He was said to have died after falling on the kitchen grinder. However, Jenny, the daughter of Ganes's ex, saw the murder. He told his girlfriend that my parents had beaten him to death.
Strychnine was again found in the body of the deceased during the postmortem. It is believed that the accident was arranged by applying poison first. Or poison may have been applied to confirm death.
However, after the death of her husband, Bailey Ganes started crying. And no one could doubt that Peter's death was normal. Shortly after her husband's death, Bailey withdrew her insurance money. And six months after her husband's death, she became the mother of one son. The boy was named Philip Ganes.
Belly Ganes never married again. Rather he started his new “business”. He used to advertise marriage in newspapers. The advertisement stipulates that a man interested in marriage must come to the bride's "house" to see the bride with his savings in cash. There is probably no one in the world more foolish than a loving man. Seeing this advertisement, many men would go to Bailey's farm house with money, butt would never come back. The giant belly of a tall, two hundred-pound monster could easily knock any man down. John Mu, Henry Garholt, Olaf Sevenhard, Ol B. Budsberg, Olaf Lindeblum, Andre Hegelin were all on that list. Many more were killed at the hands of Bailey, whose exact identities were not known.
However, Andre Hegelin's brother began searching for his brother and an investigation was launched into Andre Hegelin's disappearance. Belly Ganes's day of danger began to draw closer. Did he understand that before?
February 1906. Bailey's farmhouse catches fire again. The farmhouse burned to the ground. Rescuers found the bodies of Ganes' other three children. They were killed. Another headless body was lying next to him. But it was not Ganes's body. Belly Ganes was tall, while the decapitated body was emaciated.
Yet rescuers wanted to be sure. The digging of the garden house in search of the head began. No, I couldn't get my head around it. However, one skeleton after another began to emerge. Twelve skeletons were recovered from the garden house, which had been missing for so long. Among the skeletons were some baby skeletons.
What actually happened to Belly Ganes remains unresolved. However, a neighbor named Ray Lampher was arrested for setting fire to his home. Ray Lampher was probably hired by Belly Ganes, to set fire to his farmhouse. Lampher pleaded guilty only to arson but claimed he did not know of any murder. And Lampher never believed in the death of Bailey Ganes. Shortly before the Bailey Ganes farmhouse caught fire, Bailey withdrew most of his money from the bank.
So, the million-dollar question is, did Belly Ganes really run away with the money? Or was the headless body Belly?
Ray Lampher acknowledged this fact just before he died in prison. It was all Belly Ganes's plan. Leaving a headless corpse, he actually wanted to arrange his own false death. But his giant body had nothing in common with the corpse.
But this fact did not work. No more traces of Belly Ganes have ever been found. No information is available about his death.
However, in 1931, a woman named Esther Carlson died while on trial in Los Angeles. He was accused of killing a man with poison. A resemblance to Belly Ganes is found in Carlson's appearance and physique. They were about the same age. Again a picture of Carlson with her three children was found. It also matches Belly Ganes. But even then it is uncertain. And nothing can be said for sure.
The DNA test of the body found in that garden house was done in 2006. But the sample was not usable. So, in the end, the mystery of Belly Ganes remained unsolved. Which has not been resolved even today.
Now the question is, why was Belly Ganes? No human being is actually born a criminal. What is the psychology behind this crime? According to an Irish TV documentary, Bailey Ganes went to a bar dance while pregnant at the age of nineteen. There a rich man's son kicked her in the stomach, and she had an abortion. Shortly afterwards, the rich man's son died mysteriously. And since then Belly Ganes's behavior has changed dramatically. He later came to America and became one of the most infamous and brutal serial killers in history.
An example of where endless greed for money leads people is found in the example of Bailey Ganes. Even killing his own children and getting insurance was just a game for him. People are still thrilled to read the story of that terrible game. That true story has brought Belly Ganes to notoriety as one of the most terrifying people in the world.
