Tips: Reviewing Done Right

Have you ever wondered why you still have a hard time during examination even after you have up all night reviewing your lesson? Well you must've done your REVIEWING WRONG! Here are some secret to REVIEWING DONE RIGHT.

 

❌ DON'T STUDY ONLY A DAY BEFORE EXAM.

Cramming does not always work on everyone. Putting off studying until the last minute will put you into stress and pressure which makes it hard for you to retain all of the information. Instead,

✅ DO TAKE AT LEAST 30 MINS EVERYDAY A WEEK PRIOR TO THE DAY OF EXAMINATION.

This is because the brain is better in encoding information in short repeated times. Also, reading/hearing information a lot of time will help u remember it more.

❌ DON'T RISK YOUR HEALTH OVER STUDYING.

If hunger strikes, eat. Tour brain will not function well on empty stomach. Instead of focusing on what you are reading, your brain will focus more on your screaming stomach. While studying, you can always...

✅ EAT BRAIN SNACKS!

Your brain can remember information more if you are using one or two senses at the same time. Some may remember well if they are listening to music, some while writing and most of us while eating! Happy tummy and healthy brain!

❌ DON'T STUDY LATE AT NIGHT OR STAY UP ALL NIGHT STUDYING.

Sleeping is the brain's aid to repair itself. It is that we have to be sleeping soundly during 12am-2am as this is when your cells repair itself. Without enough sleep, your brain's memory inbox will automatically shut down. While it may be effective to others it is not advisable to stay up all night reviewing. You can

✅ WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING INSTEAD.

Instead of the habit of staying up late, you can sleep early and do your review once again the next day, 4-5am. This time your brain is already fueled up and is on its maximum performance, you'll be able to analyze and memorize more effectively.
