In this article, I would like to talk about a movie that I can recommend to you, dear readers, without any doubts in my mind. Taking its subject from a true story and starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali, the Green Book movie is about the racism against blacks in America in the 60's. Moreover, he talks about the subject not only by talking about racism, but by discussing the friendship of a white person who is extremely prejudiced against blacks with a black person.

It is necessary to mention a little bit of the Green Book book, which gives its name to the movie. A book published annually between 1936 and 1966, stating the routes that blacks should use to travel safely. This book is written by Victor Hugo Green during the years when America, the land of dreams (!) Was nirvana in racism. Trying to make us swallow (or even swallow) a country where you are subjected to all kinds of violence just because your skin color is different and where even your travel is not safe must be the result of a solid PR work.

The movie begins with the attitude of Tony Lip, a white of Italian origin, towards blacks. While unemployed, Tony learns that Donald Shirley, a very famous musician, is looking for someone to accompany him on his 8-week tour while looking for a temporary job.

After that, you witness the warm friendship story of Shirley and a rude person who is prejudiced against black people, who hopes to change people's thoughts with music. I have to give a very small, tiny spoiler. After Tony throws away the glass that two black people drank water from coming to his house, I start saying your pre-date. Even though your attitude towards Tony softens in the later stages of the film, this time you remember the past of different people.

I loved Viggo Mortensen's acting in the movie. The better a rude person can play, the better he has played. He was wonderful, from the way he eats in the car to the cigarette he never put out during the movie. I say rude, but somewhere deep down you can see that good in it. Also, the music and shots in the movie were very good.

While watching the movie, after watching it, I thought about how a person can be superior to people with different skin colors because only their skin color is white. People with such fanatical thinking also declare themselves masters of the world. Once upon a time, they made us swallow Europe as civilization where people brought from various parts of the world are exhibited in human gardens (even its name freezes blood).

If you are tired of hitting movies like me, Green Book is for you. Both the dialogues and the fact that the sincerity in the film passes on to the audience. It is a very warm movie that you can watch without getting bored. Let me also mention that the film received an Oscar.
