Perry had a painful wound on his foot, and for a bully-bull who's used to ambling exactly where and when he pleases, living a life of total independence, Perry had to be very patient to accept the confines of the hospital during the several weeks it took to treat and heal his hoof wound.
He was not a snuggler--though somewhat surprisingly, sometimes bulls are as contented and cuddly as a big male cat,--but in his own funny way, Perry had a sense of humor, and could gaze at the goings-on in the Large Animal Treatment Area which he called home, with eyes of wisdom and irony as new patients arrived and adjusted to the new smells, sounds and pace of Animal Aid. He regarded them all with a knowing nod, as one who is accustomed to being treated as powerful and dignified.
We're so grateful to all those whose donations lifted up this sweetheart and helped him promenade again.
